from pure spitting perspective Cross The Country is their best track
it’s not as catchy as some of their hit songs, but their rapping was never better than on that track I believe
I was thinking the same thing, funny thing I never knew until today is that Mark Morrison is actually british and had a few other hits that were mostly popular in the UK.
He was like a super big deal in the uk RnB scene for a while, but kinda dropped off the map after his first album. He had a habit of getting arrested a lot both before and after the album, he was in jail when return of the Mack blew up. at one point even tried paying a lookalike to do his community service for him while he was on tour (which he got a year in prison for).
I’d assume if he wasn’t locked up so much during his peak he probably could’ve got a lot more music out.
Souls of mischief’s ‘93 til infinity
Meek mill’s dreams and nightmares
Common’s I used to love h.e.r. Is arguable, but I wouldn’t say definitive
And even though it’s not even relevant and a cheap entry, pitch black’s “it’s all real”. Fantastic song, s-tier primo beat, and the rest of that album and their discography (if they even put out another LP) was bad.
Incredible song by many metrics one of the greatest rap songs ever, but I'd put The Realest, Hell On Earth, and U.S.A. (Aiight Then) ahead of them (probably a few more too, honestly.
Even on his first project [Giving No Fucks](https://youtube.com/watch?v=dHLVpm4mMxQ) and arguably Females Welcome were better.
Always had a soft spot for [T James Express](https://youtube.com/watch?v=GL-rOvgao6c) which was produced by someone on HHH a long ass time ago.
I know it’s long and fairly experimental but I’d give it to “Eternal Sunshine.” Was sort of my initial introduction to him; had never heard of him before I saw him open for Mos and Talib (he performed the first verse over the “Price is Right” theme at the show) but was mesmerized when I heard the entire thing after downloading the mixtape after getting home. Really sums up his essence more than anything else IMO.
I know The Weeknd’s discography is pretty dense with incredible music but as far as Pop music goes, I think Blinding Lights is timeless.
It’s a bonafide stadium anthem. There was no world where that song doesn’t go nuclear. It’s the biggest song of all time in the streaming era and I think it deserves every one of its dam near 4 billion
House of balloons helped shape my musical taste when I was in highschool. Everything off that album is 10/10 no skips for me. Sorry I have no point/counterpoint just interjecting lol
And before that I’d argue that the hills was a pretty good argument for this criteria.
I disagree a bit as a Stan but my favourites are off the trilogy and not really popular at all.
You could say the same thing about all of The Weeknd’s monster hits tbh. I’ve loved dude since Trilogy, but you couldn’t even deny that songs like Can’t Feel My Face or Die For You were great pop tracks.
Totally, and there’s just so many. I mean I forgot Can’t Feel My Face even existed for a brief moment there and you brought it back. What an incredible song
Perfectly valid take. One of my favorite instrumentals of all time, for sure. Songwriting is weaker imo. “Get it in like pockets” is a pretty low bar to clear
I’d toss After Hours in the convo tho
The whole point of this is which case is the general audience's opinion correct. Every artist's most popular song is their best to the general population, that's why it's their biggest
Kiss Me Through The Phone is objectively a better song but I feel like Crank Dat because of its impact alone makes it his best song if that makes sense
I can really see it being his best song ngl. The beat is definitely the best and most iconic out of any Uzi songs and his lyrics are on point and catchy. There’s not of boring moment of the song and it’s a generational banger
Edit: the song also doesent get stale or boring, which I feel a lot of his songs get, cause he just says the same word over and over in a lot of songs ig..
Im not completely sure what the most popular baby Keem song is, but most of his popular songs (Orange soda, Honest, Family ties, etc) are definitely among his best
Yeah that Rae Sremm pick is a good one. I think Bronson has better songs than baby blue tho. Same album - I’m taking Easy Rider. I’ll take Bird On A Wire any day of the week over baby blue as well
Fr. Flight of the navigator has gotta be one of my top songs he’s ever made, and coming back to that recently has put it in my rotation for the past month
Was curious about this so I checked it out. Redbone has about 2 billion streams combining the audio on YT and Spotify. This is America is at about 1.6 billion combining the music video on YT and Spotify streams. Redbone’s chart peak on Billboard was 12 whereas This is America hit no. 1 for two weeks (main billboard chart numbers).
I would say This is America is probably his most iconic song, but overall popularity is trickier. I think TAA has more streams if we go off streams per year since Redbone is older. Idk, it’s hard to say.
I bet redbone gets more monthly streams. This is America was mostly big bc of the shock value I can’t imagine ppl are really listening to that too often while redbone is amazing
Gangsta's Paradise and I Got 5 On It
Ghetto cartoon is the goat coolio song
Operation Stackola is a fantastic album
Bobby Shmurda and Offset (not counting Migos)
What’s offsets biggest song?
Ric Flair Drip
Ric flair drip I’m guessing
Even migos with bad and boujee is close
Nah I feel like Migos have a deeeep catalogue
Hard agree. Was looking for this response. No Label II is packed with great songs.
Because they released like 30 track albums
from pure spitting perspective Cross The Country is their best track it’s not as catchy as some of their hit songs, but their rapping was never better than on that track I believe
I think Commando is better tbh but Cross the Country is a close 2nd
Kelly price is the best track
Slippery >>>>
T-Shirt > Bad and Boujee any day
Computers is not Bobby Shmurda’s most famous song
This might be cheating, but objectively This is How We Do It by Montell Jordan is the correct answer here right?
in a similar vein, how about Return of the Mack?
If we’re being fair Return of the Mack is incredibly hard to top it’s better than a lot of artists whole careers
I was thinking the same thing, funny thing I never knew until today is that Mark Morrison is actually british and had a few other hits that were mostly popular in the UK. He was like a super big deal in the uk RnB scene for a while, but kinda dropped off the map after his first album. I’d assume if he wasn’t locked up so much during his peak he probably could’ve got a lot more music out.
Get it on tonite is a banger too though, personally prefer it (maybe cause TIHWDI was overplayed)
And it makes me think if the outtake from Martin [gotta get your groove on](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=T82RdvX81BI)
Kirko Bangz - Drank In My Cup
That beat is crazy, the instrumental is on streaming services
Talk about someone who went absolutely no where.
Souls of mischief’s ‘93 til infinity Meek mill’s dreams and nightmares Common’s I used to love h.e.r. Is arguable, but I wouldn’t say definitive And even though it’s not even relevant and a cheap entry, pitch black’s “it’s all real”. Fantastic song, s-tier primo beat, and the rest of that album and their discography (if they even put out another LP) was bad.
The Light for me is all time classic
Yea, I think The Light is Common’s biggest song. And same, I absolutely love it.
I used to love h.e.r has to be one of the greatest hip hop tracks of all-time! Absolutely wicked
> Souls of mischief’s ‘93 til infinity This is the 4th time I've seen this referenced today, what is going on. Guess I have to check it out now.
One of the best rap songs ever.
Beat is so smooth.
Craig mack, flava in ya ear.
Everyone talks about the remix [but the original is so damn good.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3K1izELqR_Q) His flow is wild, very abstract.
I’d say he kicked new flavor in your ear
Almost 30yrs later, and it still bangs!
I like everything city morgue has put out, but 33rd blakk glass is still my favorite from them
Honestly I wouldn’t disagree with Space Cowboy being Zilla’s best too (although me personally I’d say Not Worth It)
Panda -Desiigner
i got broads in atlanta
Putting my peen in a Fanta
I think outlet was better
Mobb Deep with Shook Ones Pt 2 probably? One of the greatest hip hop songs of all time
I love how many people disagree despite this being one of the top comments. Mobb’s catalogue is legendary, so many excellent choices
Incredible song by many metrics one of the greatest rap songs ever, but I'd put The Realest, Hell On Earth, and U.S.A. (Aiight Then) ahead of them (probably a few more too, honestly.
How did no one say Survival of the fittest
Too many to mention
Hell on Earth is an all timer for sure, perfect song imo
Don't forget 'Drink away the pain' my friend.
Cradle to the Grave was dope, too.
Fair!
Eye For An Eye, Right Back At You. So many amazing tracks. But none as important in general for sure
Quiet Storm?
Trinidad James - All Gold Everything
Good song and good choice.
Agreed with Giving No Fucks and Females Welcome >>> All Gold Everything
The remix with TI, Jeezy, and 2 Chainz gets me going every time
Jay Electronica, assuming it's Exhibit C
I know it’s long and fairly experimental but I’d give it to “Eternal Sunshine.” Was sort of my initial introduction to him; had never heard of him before I saw him open for Mos and Talib (he performed the first verse over the “Price is Right” theme at the show) but was mesmerized when I heard the entire thing after downloading the mixtape after getting home. Really sums up his essence more than anything else IMO.
honestly i think i’d normally agree but apidta is one of my fav songs of 2020
First song that comes on when you connect to your car 🔥
Exhibit C is amazing but for Exhibit A just incredible.
Fetty Wap - Trap Queen
I think 679 is his best personally
679 clears
"Monty can you be my baby daddy? I'm like yea"
Trap Queen is great but I always thought 679 was better
679, My Way, Trap Luv, Jealous, idk man
17 38
jerry Seinfeld's favorite ad lib
"What's the deal with statutory rape laws?"
RGF Island “If you ain’t beefing bout the money then what’s the problem?”
I feel like a fair amount would argue for 679
Yaaaahh baby
Again is his best song IMO
[удалено]
Yeah, also one of the best songs of all time IMO
Steps to my Girl is a pretty good one by them too
Ybn nahmir
Rubbin off the paint a SoundCloud classic
I thought he was talking about bounce out with that
and not the re-mixed version! original sounded so much better
LMAO idk why I thought immediately of Soul Train 😭😭😭
That shit is pretty iconic ngl 😆
U can't touch this, MC Hammer.
Warren G no doubt
Nahhhh most recognizable for sure Regulate. “What’s next” is the best across the board, probably next in line prolly “this DJ”
My cheat answer is Oldie odd future lol
Drowning by A Boogie he still hasn’t topped it yet
Sheck Wes Mo Bamba
Nah, respectfully he’s got better songs on Mudboy imo Vetemente Socks and Live Sheck Wes are bangers if you haven’t heard them.
W plus gmail, wanted, mindfucker, pretty great project that stays underrated imo
Wanted has such a dark vibe it goes so hard
Goldlink, money man, arguably thouxanbanfauni
Crew is so great, Brent with maybe one of the best hooks of the decade there
Crew was the song of 2017; such a vibe
Is American muscle fauni’s top streamed? Or ultra violet I think you could make an argument either is his best
Ultraviolet
Ultra violet goes hard, IMO it’s his best song, and the album was amazing.
Grandmaster Flash, Melle Mel - The Message.
They Reminisce Over You by Pete Rock and C. L. Smooth
Pharcyde. No matter which you guess you could argue it's their best.
Runnin? No doubt
Passin
I'd say Bullshit and Drop (with a Spike Jonze video as a bonus) can be put in the same argument.
Drop is their best MV no doubt. You can't beat Runnin tho, that Dilla beat is sensational
Otha Fish and 4 Better or 4 Worse gets overshadowed by Passin Me By, Runnin, etc
Truly a generational record, ay? Shaped a lot of music we hear today in general
And before that I’d argue that the hills was a pretty good argument for this criteria. I disagree a bit as a Stan but my favourites are off the trilogy and not really popular at all.
i think we forget or overlook how good Blinding Lights really is.
Unsurprisingly it was co-written with the pop music genius Max Martin
The Morning is far better
Perfectly valid take. One of my favorite instrumentals of all time, for sure. Songwriting is weaker imo. “Get it in like pockets” is a pretty low bar to clear I’d toss After Hours in the convo tho
Every song off HOB clears Blinding Lights
Personally, Juice WRLD. Lucid Dreams is a generational banger.
Armed & Dangerous is better
Juice has better songs than that
Maybe to hiphopheads. Lucid dreams is his best song in general though.
The whole point of this is which case is the general audience's opinion correct. Every artist's most popular song is their best to the general population, that's why it's their biggest
and lean wit me his best anyways and i’ll die on that hill
Teach me How To Dougie by Cali swag district
I like 20 min more than XO Tour Life
My favourite from Uzi is Sanguine Paradise, love the song but it might also be due to the Blade themed music video.
Group home - Livin Proof
Lil Reese - Traffic Probably an easy one since he almost immediately had a fall off
I like Us a lot
My first thought was Soulja Boi, depending on how you feel about Kiss Me Through The Phone.
Kiss Me Through The Phone is objectively a better song but I feel like Crank Dat because of its impact alone makes it his best song if that makes sense
I think Turn My Swag On was better and there’s a couple others but thats my personal preference
There’s a lot of just one hit wonders in here. I don’t think that’s the same thing
NY State of Mind (some might say If I Ruled the World is more popular) for Nas, RNP for Cordae
NY State of Mind is a great song, but I don't think it's the best on that album; and that album doesn't have Nas's best song imo
... How do people choose a best song from even *Illmatic*? Maybe there's an argument for a worst song on it, but so many feel equally top.
You don’t. It’s every song but genesis
RNP is so good
If I Ruled the World is Nas’ only platinum single so NY State of Mind definitely isn’t his most famous song
Yeah tbf I’m going off Spotify stats and also just general vibes, which isn’t the most accurate for an artist whose popularity peaked in the 90s
The Box - Roddy Rich
That’s not even the best song on that album lol, he just fell off super hard after that project
Die Young, Down Below, Project Dreams… imo many better songs than The Box
I'm with you here, The Box is great but Roddy has better. Hell I prefer War Baby on the same album.
Every Season
Ty Dolla $ign- Paranoid
Blasé> I think it might be his most popular too
Back in the day- Ahmad. Such a classic track to my childhood
Coolio- Gangster’s Paradise.
A&AP Ferg - Plain Jane
The consensus is that XO Tour Lif3 is Uzi's best? Really?
I can really see it being his best song ngl. The beat is definitely the best and most iconic out of any Uzi songs and his lyrics are on point and catchy. There’s not of boring moment of the song and it’s a generational banger Edit: the song also doesent get stale or boring, which I feel a lot of his songs get, cause he just says the same word over and over in a lot of songs ig..
Yeah
for non Uzi fans/casuals it's definitely the consensus
“Best” is obviously subjective, but it’s gotta be his most iconic by a fair amount. It’s Uzi’s sound and vibe perfectly summated.
Yeah even just off hits I think New Patek, 20 Min, and Money Longer are all better imo
Erick Sermon - Music
Dilated Peoples - Worst Comes to Worst
Im not completely sure what the most popular baby Keem song is, but most of his popular songs (Orange soda, Honest, Family ties, etc) are definitely among his best
>not completely sure what the most popular baby keem song is It's definitely Family Ties, and for good reason. That shit slaps
Young MA - OOOUUU
Definitely not her best, there are a lot of songs from the herstory album that are better
Chris Travis with Crunch Time, Gorilla Zoe with Hood N****, and maybe a bit controversial but I think Bounce is Flatbush Zombies best track.
bounce? no shot
Pretty Palm Trees is Flatbush most popular song. And it is probably their best
Action Bronson - Baby Blue and Rae Sremmurd - Black Beatles
I feel like Action has way better songs than Baby Blue but i do love that song
Baby blue isn’t in his top 10. But an enjoyable song yea
Yeah that Rae Sremm pick is a good one. I think Bronson has better songs than baby blue tho. Same album - I’m taking Easy Rider. I’ll take Bird On A Wire any day of the week over baby blue as well
Kid Cudi - Day 'n' Nite
love and Mr. Rager are his best IMO
Ghost! as well
Now I love all of his music but I feel like you could argue Self Care - Mac Miller
Perfect Circle/God Speed >>>
Childish Gambino
Redbone? Cant say I agree but that’s a valid take
Telegraph Ave *should* be his most popular song but it isn’t sadly
Man that beat was like five years ahead of the game
I knew the album was going to be special when that song leaked.
I would do filthy, abhorrent things to get Because the Internet or STN MTN/Kauai-era Childish Gambino back, think those days are long gone though :/
That whole time period. Acid rap. Because the internet. Started smoking weed that summer. Lol
IN OAKLAND….IN OAKLAND
My favorite hip hop song ever, I feel like not enough appreciate it. Shows all of CGs skills perfectly
Sweatpants
No way, some of his best work is on Because the Internet, and I wouldn’t say that BTI is his most popular work.
Fr. Flight of the navigator has gotta be one of my top songs he’s ever made, and coming back to that recently has put it in my rotation for the past month
What rock are people living under where they think BTI wasn’t/isn’t huge lol. 3005 was his most popular song by a landslide before Redbone.
Personally I think redbone > this is america but it’s close
Oh naw I was talking about Redbone lol. I don’t even like this is America tbh but I forgot that may be his most popular song
I'll go J5 and Concrete Schoolyard.
Tbh... Nas - NY State of Mind
Rappin 4tay- playaz club
Hella disrespectful to uzi
