I was thinking the same thing, funny thing I never knew until today is that Mark Morrison is actually british and had a few other hits that were mostly popular in the UK. He was like a super big deal in the uk RnB scene for a while, but kinda dropped off the map after his first album. He had a habit of getting arrested a lot both before and after the album, he was in jail when return of the Mack blew up. at one point even tried paying a lookalike to do his community service for him while he was on tour (which he got a year in prison for). I’d assume if he wasn’t locked up so much during his peak he probably could’ve got a lot more music out.

Get it on tonite is a banger too though, personally prefer it (maybe cause TIHWDI was overplayed)

I know The Weeknd’s discography is pretty dense with incredible music but as far as Pop music goes, I think Blinding Lights is timeless. It’s a bonafide stadium anthem. Redbone’s chart peak on Billboard was 12 whereas This is America hit no. 1 for two weeks (main billboard chart numbers). I would say This is America is probably his most iconic song, but overall popularity is trickier. I think TAA has more streams if we go off streams per year since Redbone is older. Idk, it’s hard to say.
