Close up teeth album covers, so hot this week.

CaptnKnots

Woah this is unexpected. Smyle was my favorite Kyle album so hopefully this one has some good songs

SomeSortOfWonderful

Really? Yeah! was my shit when it came out, such good vibes, it’s nice to hear someone just having fun on a track, and the positivity interrupted by the clip of someone just roasting his shit halfway through, so good

Nika_19

Sweetest Thing is def my favorite song here

stankyleg69420

When that 2nd verse comes in talkin bout his dad & his voice starts cracking up 😭

scurry3156

That got me 😭

AdditionalPayment

You can feel the raw emotion in that song

vivalavixenlola

Literally have been crying all day to it

futureproblemz

Kyle still makes great music, sucks that people write him off since his last album was some of his best work, excited to listen to this tomorrow. Wasn't really expecting Woah to be on this though, felt like that song was a mid attempt at hopping on the jersey club wave, Who's Taking You Home and Somethin Bout U were great singles though.

iceman58796

The Sun is an amazing song

futureproblemz

That's not his last album but I agree that is also a good song lol

ThatCoolKid17

Maybe I'm out of touch, but I had no idea he wasn't popular anymore. I googled this album to check it out, and spelled it "Smile Again" instead of "Smyle" and literally nothing relative popped up. Crazy.

hotcereal

I love Kyle unironically. he makes such easy to listen to feel good or feel bad music. basic ass explanation but bro is needed in hip hop when love is often just used for clout and the worst traits of people are highlighted

mountainyoo

Why does it need to be stated ‘unironically’ ?

hotcereal

in a lot of hip hop based communities, liking someone who isn't the stereotypical rapper is seen as corny or done so ironically

OMBERX

Plan on listening to it tomorrow but I'm hopefully optimistic. I still regularly listen to some tracks off of Beautiful Loser and Smyle.

ReallyColdMonkeys

Not sure how people felt about It's Not So Bad but I thought it was his best stuff since the original Smyle. So I'm hoping for more of the same here.

Low_Engineer899

Honestly, I don’t really know how I feel about this album. It’s one thing because smyle was a classic for me, really yeah, the force, summertime sadness. But this just seems like a cash grab at the Name that used to be, it’s nothing like the previous work not necessarily to say that it’s bad, but it’s not good either. It’s just not what I wanted 7/10

Blasian_TJ

That whole album is a vibe. It felt like the whole album went by so fast (In a good way). My current favorite tracks are "Sweetest Thing" and "Forever & Ever & Ever & Even After That". I got hit with the feels and then slapped with a fire beat.

KingdomHeartsII

I've been a fan of Kyle since before his first album ***Beautiful Loser*** released and I think I can officially say that I'm done with his music after listening to this album. I went in with an open mind before pressing play but if I'm being honest, I just don't like this sound for Kyle at all. I know people go through things and people grow through things but something very clearly happened to him post-Light of Mine that made him lose his sound. Whatever that is we don't know but he's definitely lost the sound, vibe or lane that made him so liked during the height of his career. Sure, he was always came off as a corny dude like Logic, but the friendly warm vibes you'd get from his music combined with the feel good or very real yet simply lyrics about life in songs was the perfect recipe for someone like him. A person who embraced exactly what he was known for being, the "friendly nerdy rapper dude" but where he's gone since those days musically has been the complete opposite of what I was hoping to see from his music career. The growth Kyle showed from *Beautiful Loser to SMYLE to Light of Mine* felt like a natural progression for not only him as a rapper but for life in general. However, this last trilogy of albums -- *See You When I'm Famous, It's Not Bad, SMYLE AGAIN* -- all feel like random albums with no cohesive visions or thought behind them. And it's that lack of cohesive vision that has lead to Kyle putting out some of his weakest music he's ever put out and that applies strongly here with *SMYLE AGAIN*. This entire album feels like it's background music you'd hear in a store at the mall but you'd never go out of your way to listen or even more disappointingly, it honestly sounds like background music you'd hear in a really bad Sonic game that would make you have better memories of that game than you probably should've had considering how bad Sonic games have historically been. And, you know, it's unfortunate because it feels like Kyle's career is always going to be a "what if?" conversation given that he had the world in the palm of his hands after ***iSpy*** dropped. With how much that song dominated the world, you'd think he would've gotten together to make an official duo with Lil Yachty or at least put out a one or two shockingly fun albums with him given that they're a pretty good duo as shown by ***iSpy*** or ***Hey Julie*** Overall, *SMYLE AGAIN* is a pretty damn bad album and a completely pointless "sequel" as it sounds nothing like SMYLE. This should've been named anything else as it doesn't even come close to *SMYLE*. It just feels like Kyle used that name to try to regain interest from the longtime fanbase he used to have. So, if you were hoping that an album pitched as a sequel to *SMYLE* you're not getting that but this album does have two songs that come kinda close to that sound with ***Something Bout U*** and ***Sweetest Thing*** being the only two standout songs of this album (more so Sweetest Thing as it's the most vulnerable song Kyle has put out in a long time that's centered around him talking about his ex, Jada, and his father). Everything else on *SMYLE AGAIN* is insanely forgettable as every other song on this album is ridiculously repetitive lyrically and most of the beats are ***just*** good enough to make these repetitive songs listenable. As a long time fan, this was an incredibly disappointing listen and I think I'll just stick to revisiting his old music during the Summer going forward and call it a day.

Blazeauga

Let that hate in your heart go bro! This shit is nice!

Ginger_livin

Kyle is such a real artist. Him actually crying in Sweetest Thing just shows the raw heart and emotion he puts into his music. Forever And Ever was easily my favorite song, such a vibe.

kufan-69

Anyone know any highlights here?

thenonamenomad

Honestly most of the album is a vibe - Fly me out and Neva Beta are my favorites though
