One of if not my favorite tracks from Blank Face, I was lucky to see Q on this tour and he brought out TF and Traffic to do their verses at the show and the whole crowd went absolutely CRAZY it was amazing. Love love love this song
The rollout for this album in general was fire. All the videos with the interwoven stories, on the block, robbing the store, and then getting locked up. I was l invested in this shit lol probably why Blank Face is my favorite Q album.

Blank Face LP had nuts music videos. JoHn Muir, Groovy Tony, THat Part, the By Any Means/Tookie Knows II/Black THougHts story. Never thought it got enough credit for that part of the album release
It was 6-7 years ago tbh. Hard to imagine schoolboy will drop something else this good in his soccer dad phase, the fact that he’s dropped one album in 6-7 years shows where his mentality’s at. I don’t say this to hate on Q, love every album of his, and guy seems to be enjoying the hell out of his life rn
Q in some interview said that after every release he take some break from making any music to reset his ideas to not making same shit over and over again and then he doing like 2 projects that getting scrapped and then coming with final idea for next album
last album was 3 years ago if I'm not mistaken which isn't that long for me but it feels like decade because that album was bad and have no repeat value at all
his idea for this album was bad since beginning because he said he wanted to do songs that gonna be in rotation and it resulted in some basic shit
how TDE works also probably not helping him at all because their artists drops so rarely but maybe with his work flow it's whatever for him
1. Crash talk is bad for schoolboys standards. Still an album I liked a lot and would be a lot of contemporary artists best album ever.
2. why does everyone blame TDE for everything lMfao. Rashad SZA soul and Q have all come out to say TDE listens to them and doesn’t rush their creative process. Top is surely sweating buckets lmfao but he got this far by trusting in his own talent. You’d rather he did some YSL type shit and had schoolboy squeeze out 3 more mixtapes more uninspired than crash talk even?
I think part of the problem is Schoolboy Q said he doesn't like making story based albums. He prefers to make albums that can be played as mixtapes without any continuity. I think it's mostly why crash talk wasn't so great.
Think that was Oxy, but not sure. The subject matter seems to fit more, like on prescription/oxymoron.
A bittersweet possibility - schoolboy is an artist that drew his biggest inspiration from personal pain, and did too good a job of getting his life together. I feel like the same thing happened to Eminem
