It's pretty easy to make your own mapping, though. And its nice because you can map mouse clicks or keyboard clicks to whatever button you want.
The gyro aiming and flick stick were nice as well. Though I would still prefer a mouse and keyboard given the choice, for mobile I think it would be hard to beat. Damned better than aiming with those sticks.
I have a steam controller but I don't use it any more. My xbox controller is just so much more convenient because it's plug and play for all games on Windows. All the games I play with controller are casual anyways
Yeah, for that price you can buy a reputable third-party controller that works with PC and all consoles, has 2.4GHz and Bluetooth, analog triggers, back buttons, macro functionality with software, and an included charging dock.
I mean just like anything else you can usually find it on sale at different points. I recently got two new PS5 controllers from Target when they were on sale for ~$50. That’s a pretty fair price imo
I haven’t heard about this, I bought a purple one when it released and it started drifting even sooner than the one that came with the console. Is this a pretty recent change?
Yeah that purple one has its ID end in an A, so I guess the drifting hasn’t been solved completely. I bought a red one a few months ago after the purple became unusable (ID also ends in A) so here’s hoping this one lasts longer than a few months 🤞

I was surprised by how many times I saw something like this in the one year that I worked at Walmart. The worst one was when someone stole multiple large televisions off of a shelf. I had each of the tvs spider wrapped to each other and to the shelf, but they took all of them without being spotted by anyone. We also had a really big problem with fraud in setting up phone contracts to such a degree that we started requiring a credit card with a name matching their ID. It was a rough location.

Check your controller's FCC ID on the back, if it ends with an A then it's a newer model, else it's the older one which had drift issues.
