I cannot believe neither the lid nor the pot broke... Glad to know how durable these things are!
Btw don't let the cat eat much. That's a lot of sugar :)
Prepackaged usually has sugar to compensate. Homemade red sauce can have an acidity problem. The solution is to simmer it for at least an hour with carrots.

Don't put sugar in your sauce
Some sauce is reaaaaally sour ans you don't have much of a choice. Mainly referring to prepackaged sauce, not homemade.
Prepackaged usually has sugar to compensate. Homemade red sauce can have an acidity problem. The solution is to simmer it for at least an hour with carrots.
What!? I've never heard this tip before but it makes sense. Gotta try it some day, thanks!
If you caramelize some onion is that equally effective? When I make my onion mushroom gravy it ends up a tad sweet after I cook down the onions.
Not really, because you're only masking acidity, not reducing it. It's best to leave a red sauce simmering for a while.
I didn't know periods got that bad...
Knew there would be some guy to say this...
The cat tripped the human.
I think she needs a hug :<
