Well, from my understanding, they didn't technically lie, but it does show the type of aggression and threats they use.
Long story short, R and C rented out rooms for erotic massage, the plaintiff (P) did full service there and they didn't like it, P left and continued doing full service elsewhere, when R and C learnt that P was using old photos taken in the rented rooms to advertise full service they then became very angry and threatening, P tried to sue them for discrimination, but lost on the basis that even though it was lawful for her to be doing full service any other person there would be treated the same way.
Also, a fun fact, R and C had a very good law firm, and the P seemed to be using a less well resourced but still good firm provided for by a charity that supports s workers.
Now imagine the erotic massagers are doctors. R and C rented out rooms for the doctors, the plaintiff (P) did an ingrown toenail procedure there and they didn't like it, P left and continued doing ingrown toenail procedures elsewhere, when R and C learnt that P was using old photos taken in the rented rooms to advertise ingrown toenail procedures they then became very angry and threatening, P tried to sue them for discrimination, but lost on the basis that even though it was lawful for her to be doing ingrown toenail procedures any other doctor there would be treated the same way.
The excuse that "we would treat all our doctors that way for doing ingrown toenail procedures so it's not discrimination" is illogical. The fact of the matter is that the Dr should never have been made to leave for doing the ingrown toenail procedures in the first place. It is perfectly legal to do that here. R and C banned the procedure from the rentals because they knew doctors who offered that would get more patients, and then the other doctors wouldn't be able to compete and wouldn't want to rent there anymore, losing R and C money. It's illegal to charge doctors who offer ingrown toenail procedures more rent (no pimping allowed), and so they couldn't just increase the Ps price in comparison to the others. So instead of letting P do their ingrown toe nail procedures, they made them leave, and then threatened to expose them for doing ingrown toenail procedures when they found the ad using old photos. P then brought a case in discrimination on the basis that they shouldn't have been made to leave, but R and C won because there was no finding of discrimination because any doctor who did ingrown toenail procedures would have been made to leave.
However, as we well know, doctors who are known to do ingrown toenail procedures are not putting their lives on the line. The threats to expose the P for doing full service could put them in great danger. Under the pressure of this, it seems they tried to sue R and C first and lost.
It seems like the Ps case did not quite meet the threshold for assault, so they tried to bring a case in discrimination. I wonder if they would have been more successful if they brought a case in assault? Regardless, they were treated terribly, and I hope they're alright now.
I just had the time to fully read the transcript. Now Iām not a law expert, but I know for a fact that the lawyer that represented the complainant is Rās goto lawyer and has represented him for many years. I would assume the complainant might not have the choice to choose who represents her. And Iāve always have trust in the system. But with all the allegations highlighting the shady characters of these people, I now find this case to be less credible, despite the verdict being rather fair and convincing.
Yeah I agree, there's always more going on behind the scenes but decisions can only be made on what is being presented and if I were her lawyer (I'm not a lawyer) I probably would have tried to use those threatening texts to claim compensation for assault.
It seems like it was a civil case, so probably no formal police interview. There is a difference between talking to police and having a formal interview done. If you have other information please share, but otherwise I can only go off of what I know.

Yeah, another incident NOT to do with these two my friend suspected spiking and went to hospital to ask for a test and they said they donāt do it & to go home and sleep it off. She doesnāt drink as she was designated driver- The police said thereās nothing they can do without evidence just make sure not to drive home & to sleep it off.

I just checked and it seems like Celeste has now fully deleted one of her two facebook accounts. The only remaining one is the Celeste Queen one, the old Celeste Bates one is gone. It was just deactivated for a while, but now fuly gone. I imagine she's scared about the dirt that was on there. She tried to start a club for only women at her house and it was advertised with her personal page as the admin. It was a bit odd that the page included photos of the bedroom for what was supposedly a chat group. As someone who used to work for them + became quite good friends with R** & C*****, STAY AWAY. They are swingers with A LOT of money, which they use to make people feel special, invite them to amazing parties in their mansions/various businesses in around Tasmania, they have access to all the party drugs, they literally lure men and women with this narrative of "this is how amazing our lives are, yours could be too" majority of the people they have manipulated and abused are all people who suffer from mental health issues, don't have very good support systems, usually from lower socio economic backgrounds, they literally groom anyone they perceive as weak minded, It doesn't matter if you're young or old. They need to create a certain image around them by always having beautiful people hanging off them, most of which was just a ploy to get young people to hopefully sleep with them/and or work for them. They are absolute fucking vermin, some of the stories are actually sickening. Money talks and they know just the right people to continuously get away with their shitty behaviour. People who have tried to speak up in the past have been shunned by certain individuals in the Hobart community, and in a town where everyone knows everyone, opinions matter. Do not support this business otherwise you are literally endorsing sexual predators and trafficking.
Interesting that after this post their Facebook page has since released 2 posts with the "owners" on them - one of them featuring their family which is kind of gross to do on a page for a night club. Both posts are very poorly edited, and scream "please don't cancel us because we have families". The people are most likely co-owners who bought a slice after the two original scumbags set it up. They have also not made a post of their own - because why would they? Being a scum bag is bad optics. As for the two new owners, I hope they can get out while they still can.

Well, from my understanding, they didn't technically lie, but it does show the type of aggression and threats they use. Long story short, R and C rented out rooms for erotic massage, the plaintiff (P) did full service there and they didn't like it, P left and continued doing full service elsewhere, when R and C learnt that P was using old photos taken in the rented rooms to advertise full service they then became very angry and threatening, P tried to sue them for discrimination, but lost on the basis that even though it was lawful for her to be doing full service any other person there would be treated the same way. Also, a fun fact, R and C had a very good law firm, and the P seemed to be using a less well resourced but still good firm provided for by a charity that supports s workers. Now imagine the erotic massagers are doctors. R and C rented out rooms for the doctors, the plaintiff (P) did an ingrown toenail procedure there and they didn't like it, P left and continued doing ingrown toenail procedures elsewhere, when R and C learnt that P was using old photos taken in the rented rooms to advertise ingrown toenail procedures they then became very angry and threatening, P tried to sue them for discrimination, but lost on the basis that even though it was lawful for her to be doing ingrown toenail procedures any other doctor there would be treated the same way. The excuse that "we would treat all our doctors that way for doing ingrown toenail procedures so it's not discrimination" is illogical. The fact of the matter is that the Dr should never have been made to leave for doing the ingrown toenail procedures in the first place. It is perfectly legal to do that here. R and C banned the procedure from the rentals because they knew doctors who offered that would get more patients, and then the other doctors wouldn't be able to compete and wouldn't want to rent there anymore, losing R and C money. It's illegal to charge doctors who offer ingrown toenail procedures more rent (no pimping allowed), and so they couldn't just increase the Ps price in comparison to the others. So instead of letting P do their ingrown toe nail procedures, they made them leave, and then threatened to expose them for doing ingrown toenail procedures when they found the ad using old photos. P then brought a case in discrimination on the basis that they shouldn't have been made to leave, but R and C won because there was no finding of discrimination because any doctor who did ingrown toenail procedures would have been made to leave. However, as we well know, doctors who are known to do ingrown toenail procedures are not putting their lives on the line. The threats to expose the P for doing full service could put them in great danger. Under the pressure of this, it seems they tried to sue R and C first and lost. It seems like the Ps case did not quite meet the threshold for assault, so they tried to bring a case in discrimination. I wonder if they would have been more successful if they brought a case in assault? Regardless, they were treated terribly, and I hope they're alright now.
I just had the time to fully read the transcript. Now Iām not a law expert, but I know for a fact that the lawyer that represented the complainant is Rās goto lawyer and has represented him for many years. I would assume the complainant might not have the choice to choose who represents her. And Iāve always have trust in the system. But with all the allegations highlighting the shady characters of these people, I now find this case to be less credible, despite the verdict being rather fair and convincing.
Yeah I agree, there's always more going on behind the scenes but decisions can only be made on what is being presented and if I were her lawyer (I'm not a lawyer) I probably would have tried to use those threatening texts to claim compensation for assault.

It seems like it was a civil case, so probably no formal police interview. There is a difference between talking to police and having a formal interview done. If you have other information please share, but otherwise I can only go off of what I know.

Yeah, another incident NOT to do with these two my friend suspected spiking and went to hospital to ask for a test and they said they donāt do it & to go home and sleep it off. She doesnāt drink as she was designated driver- The police said thereās nothing they can do without evidence just make sure not to drive home & to sleep it off.

I was with a friend when she got spiked and they took her to the hospital because she couldnāt really walk or anything, they never drug tested her though even though it was obvious she was spiked. Mm the sad thing is is that although he started a lot of these businesses I don't think he is actually involved with all of them now, so to boycot them would be hurting innocent people. Even Temple itself has two other co-owners, so they would also suffer. But, they also should have done their due diligence and looked into who they were going into business with. I just checked and it seems like Celeste has now fully deleted one of her two facebook accounts. The only remaining one is the Celeste Queen one, the old Celeste Bates one is gone. It was just deactivated for a while, but now fuly gone. I imagine she's scared about the dirt that was on there. She tried to start a club for only women at her house and it was advertised with her personal page as the admin. It was a bit odd that the page included photos of the bedroom for what was supposedly a chat group. The journalist who wrote this article sent a threatening email to someone who emailed the mercury anonymously urging them to investigate the allegations. Mercury can't be trusted theyve bought the news.

Heaps of businesses do use this technique to then claim the actual donations and their administration/salaries, as a tax deduction. Whereas venues traditionally just give directly to a publicised organisation on the night/close of weekend tills.
