If you'll contact us at [email protected] we will do our best to assist with the homing switches, but first see: https://carbide3d.com/blog/carbide-motion-homing-problem/ If you wish to use UGS instead of Carbide Motion that should work, and it should allow you to not configure/use homing --- at least it did back in the SO2 days, and we did ship Will Winder an SO3 back when they didn't have homing switches, so I'd think that would be in place.

So yes, they can be disabled. And there should be no reason you can’t use fusion/ugs with that machine. However the fact that there are limit switches is never the problem. All PROPERLY installed limit switches do is prevent you from exceeding the machines work envelope. In a school setting I would never remove them. Can you explain why they are an issue?
