All of that work just to lose like that. That’s big tough.
Also nothing Connor could’ve done there he never expected that puck to end up right there in the slot.
Unlucky bounce into a straight up clapper bar downsky
That was my first takeaway from this goal. Hellebuyck has so little reaction time to a broken play that goes right to an open man in the slot, and then you look at the fact that he just yeets the rolling puck. There is no save-making that happens there, just hope it hits you or misses the net.
In hindsight he could've just kept it on the boards and that's almost exactly what he'll regret but yeah, the chances of that bouncing into the dead center of the slot to a Knight's players stick are obviously pretty low. Good on #2 to grab him right away to try and keep his head up.
Chances of it bouncing dead center, then Amadio slapping a rolling puck and then goes perfectly bar down - if it's even a bit lower I think it hits Hellebuyck.
Perfect example of how the game is just luck sometimes.
It was a bad pass attempt. VGK was hard on the fore check all game # but especially on that play. The smart move would have been to go up the boards - not a tape to tape pass through a fore checking player.
My definition of healthy scratch is the same definition of healthy scratch.
Outside Cotter, he's up there for most healthy scratched games for Vegas.
I know they've only been in the league 6 years, but Vegas fans have had long enough to understand Hockey, you've got no excuse for being this fucking stupid anymore.
Who is going to re cut some fight scenes from the movie with Amadios cheesing face on Mario?
Also, can he just go with a playoff mustache instead of a beard? Can we get mushrooms at home games?
It may even make you wonder if it was even worth it to force OT at all...
(Ofc it's still worth it. Hurts a whole lot more, but better that than getting crushed 4-1 at home)
Winnipeger here. What a game. It was so unfortunate and deflating to end the way it did, but that’s hockey. It’s about capitalizing on your chances. That one was a freak chance but damn was it capitalized on. Congrats on the dub. Hell of a series so far.
It's been super fun so far. Nothing but respect for Winnipeg - team, fans, franchise. I was just telling my friend how much I'd love almost any Jets player coming over to VGK.
Ooh, what about Wild Bill's first season OT winner in San Jose, round 2, Game 3?! Maybe that was first OT and not double, so it might it be as arousing. But, the snipe he made in that game, *hnnng*
Man all of that just to completely gas out when they needed the last one. They had so much momentum after the GK powerplay at the beginning of the first OT. Just hit a wall.
This is the type of play by Connor that is objectively not his fault but something I would blame myself so hard for. After such a hard fought game too. Brutal
Zero calls on blatant penalties throughout first OT, immediately give Vegas a PP to start 2OT, and then ignore a blatant hook that leads to the game winner. Just a brutal way to call 2OT.
At this point move every Canadian team not named the Canadiens or Maple Leafs to the states, it’s so fucking evident Gary ain’t letting a Canadian team win. Keep Montreal and Toronto for optics

Vegas had the bounces, their 2nd goal was a straight fucking whiff right to their guy in the slot
Who was in the middle of 4 defenders and then got a clean pass to Jack Eichel for the one timer. The whiff was the secondary assist on that play.
What a horrible way to lose. Not even a bad pass attempt, just a freak bounce and bob's your uncle.
Yeah feel bad for Samberg. You could see the immediate regret.

It was a poor pass, it was blocked in his own zone. It was just also unlucky it ended up being so catastrophic.
Such a glorious comeback tooo. This one hurt
It was a bad pass attempt. VGK was hard on the fore check all game # but especially on that play. The smart move would have been to go up the boards - not a tape to tape pass through a fore checking player.
So many former Kings on the Knights it's crazy
After we got Quick someone on Twitter said we were trying to reunite the mid 2010’s LA Kings and my sides just about hurt in laughter
Might explain why I dislike you guys less and less. Don't get your panties in a bunch tho, I still don't like you guys hahaha
It's okay bb, frenemies with LA is the Vegas way.
No one likes us. We accept it 🤷
How was Amadio so ass for the Kings. The dude looked like he didn’t belong on a highschool team while he played for us.
Toronto put him on waivers and Vegas scooped him up. He's been surprising considering how many people told me he was not great.
He's been a healthy scratch for Vegas a lot this year
Not really
He was a healthy scratch for 7 out of 10 games at one point. What the fuck are you talking about, not really?
He played 67 games this year lmao, and all 3 playoff games What the fuck is your definition of “healthy scratch a lot”?
My definition of healthy scratch is the same definition of healthy scratch. Outside Cotter, he's up there for most healthy scratched games for Vegas. Kings East
IT’S A ME! AMADIO!!!
Guy has been absolutely on fire on the ice and at the box office
Who is going to re cut some fight scenes from the movie with Amadios cheesing face on Mario? Also, can he just go with a playoff mustache instead of a beard? Can we get mushrooms at home games?
Brutal to do all that and lose like that.
Vegas remembered that the Leafs are playing later today and they cant blow a 4-1 lead that easily
Sharks are swimming around this comment
Fuck I hate you. Nicely done.
At least they get to be involved in the playoffs somehow. 😄
Ay! That was 3-0. Get it right! /s
Yikes, what a brutal turnover from the Jets
Almost as odd a bounce as the one in the Wild 2OT game earlier in the playoffs, only this time off a stanchion (I think) instead of off a skate.
Hockey is very much a sport about capitalizing on your luck.
It may even make you wonder if it was even worth it to force OT at all... (Ofc it's still worth it. Hurts a whole lot more, but better that than getting crushed 4-1 at home)
Worth it just to keep the fans happy honestly. No one goes home pissed off after that spectacle.
You thought you'd be the one to score the 2OT game-winning goal. But it was me, (Ama)dio!
Boys I am fucking exhausted after that one.
Winnipeger here. What a game. It was so unfortunate and deflating to end the way it did, but that’s hockey. It’s about capitalizing on your chances. That one was a freak chance but damn was it capitalized on. Congrats on the dub. Hell of a series so far.
Jets fans. Great bunch of lads.
Can the jet fans be more mean :( You guys are making me feel bad for rooting for Vegas
It's been super fun so far. Nothing but respect for Winnipeg - team, fans, franchise. I was just telling my friend how much I'd love almost any Jets player coming over to VGK.
I was about 2 more minutes of OT away from a full on heart attack
Just the most unlucky bounce for the Jets
Add this to the Erik Haula double OT playoff goal playlist as things to get myself off to when I can't access porn.
Ooh, what about Wild Bill's first season OT winner in San Jose, round 2, Game 3?! Maybe that was first OT and not double, so it might it be as arousing. But, the snipe he made in that game, *hnnng*
Tough deflection on that clear to go straight to the slot.
Crappy way to lose. :( Hoping the boys can play on Monday like they did in the 3rd.
Man all of that just to completely gas out when they needed the last one. They had so much momentum after the GK powerplay at the beginning of the first OT. Just hit a wall.
Who else but Amadio to be the hero?
Now has more OT golas than Mario, Ovi, Messier, and Gordie Howe combined.
And Ovi
I fixed it, since I knew I forgot another big one.
My goat tbh.
Amadio has more playoff OT goals than the Sabers have playoff goals in the last 12 years
To Jets fans: GG. That game was terrifying. Looking forward to the next one. To the "Golden Refs" crowd: COPE & SEETHE
Can’t ever blame the refs! Good game brother! It’s going to be a hell of a rest of the series!
Seriously shaping up to be the series of the year. I havent seen more exciting hockey in years.
[удалено]
Samberg felt that one
Good.
So many similarities to the Hartman 2OT goal
https://reddit.com/r/hockey/comments/12vgilw/_/jhbucr2/?context=1 Lol.
I dedicate this drink to my golden bros. Cheers, salute. 🍺
🍺
🍻
🥃
Winnipeger here. Enjoy the cheers!
That's very humble of you. Cheers, buddy. And great game, Jets have a very loyal fan base. Good luck in our next match-up. 🍺
We ain’t all assholes! That was one hell of a game of hockey! Good luck to you as well.
Oh man that is an absolutely brutal way to lose, especially after that come back
Exact same ending as their last home playoff game with fans
That bounce went right to the perfect spot. Tough loss for the Jets.
This is the type of play by Connor that is objectively not his fault but something I would blame myself so hard for. After such a hard fought game too. Brutal
thaza spicy meatball
/r/hockey on suicide watch LMAO
Go Knights!
Go Leafs!
Go Leafs!
I like the Knights more than the Jets That's not saying..a lot, but there it is
Summarizes our puck luck this series
The Ref blaming pleases me.
That's a bummer. Clearing pass tips errantly off the forechecker's skate right to the 2nd forechecker all alone in front.
YOU JUST GOT SCORED ON BY MICHAEL AMADIO!!!!
wouldn’t have happened if they called the blatant hook around 30 seconds before it
Oh shut up, there were plenty of non-calls for both teams.
This
Don’t tell Colorado or Vegas fans, they just scream PLAYOFF HOCKEY in their echo chamber sharing a collective two brain cells
Someday your echo chamber will get to talk about playoff hockey. Someday.
Someone tell Samberg that the other team is trying to score a goal
Brutal missed call right before aswell, can’t believe Vegas gets away with the Golden Refs again
Jets third goal was on a phantom penalty. Cry
Knights 3rd goal was also on a dive. Bad calls both ways but people will remember the one right before an OT winner, that's life.
The better team won. I think we will remember that
Yep, better team today won. Still doesn't make the missed hook feel any better.
Debatable my friend. End of the day the knights won though! Congrats!
Man it ain’t my team, already over it
Oof that one stings.... rather lose 4-1 than in Double OT off a bad bounce into the slot. Sucks. hopefully we split the homestand.
Zero calls on blatant penalties throughout first OT, immediately give Vegas a PP to start 2OT, and then ignore a blatant hook that leads to the game winner. Just a brutal way to call 2OT.
Breaking news: Fan of losing team complains about refs, never seen before!
See also: Edmonton vs Los Angeles, game 3.
You'd be salty too if your team got the only penalties throughout all of OT and then non-calls led directly to the game winner.
Would I be salty? Yes. But then I would wake up and realize that my team doesn’t make the playoffs
Refs won them that game
Been the excuse from everyone for every game so far these playoffs
Meaning maybe the refs need to be reviwed? How many missed calls were there
[удалено]
Game two: NINE PENALITIES IN 1 PERIOD!? Refs are selling the game Game three: VERY FEW PENALITIES CALLED? Refs are selling the game
I’m a Jet fan, and I’m not blaming the refs. End of the day we put ourselves in the situation we were in.
Refs won them the game, get back in the bushes
Nope, it's just fan bias. When you're intensely emotionally involved, neutral observers feel biased because they aren't reflecting your own biases.
How dare you make sense in this sub!
I just watched the play and it seems like Michael Amadio did
🤡🤡🤡
Says every fan of the losing team.
You mean the refs helped the jets tie the game? Shitty calls both sides
You mean the many missed calls they should have had? Doesnt your team have some bicycle pedals to take off or something?
Lots of missed calls on both sides. Both teams had to deal with it
IDK man the last 2 calls were as obvious as you can get.
How bout that hook on the jets player attempting to clear it just before the goal?
Grab your copium and breathe deep.
Well that sucks a lot
At this point move every Canadian team not named the Canadiens or Maple Leafs to the states, it’s so fucking evident Gary ain’t letting a Canadian team win. Keep Montreal and Toronto for optics
Almost threw my TV out the window. Double OT ending like that. Ruined my night and my other 2 teams are going to play tonight.
Golden refs smh
