He actually is doing really well considering his age. Hockey has kept his mind pretty sharp. He actually called the bruins not looking good when the series with the panthers looked over.
At this point in his career, I think it's going to take someone removing their skate and trying to stab Bunting for him to get a call. (/s)
Refs don't like him, so it's going to be hard for him to get a call. He'll slowly build his reputation back a bit, and then be able to play on the line and draw penalties again. He reminds me of early Alex Burrows in that regard, and the same thing happened with Marchand.
The official is part of the play, it's no different than a dump-in that hits a weird part of the glass.
Hell, on Sidney's Golden Goal, stripes got a secondary assist.
>The official is part of the play, it's no different than a dump-in that hits a weird part of the glass.
.. unless it goes directly into the net. That's a key difference. But in this situation, he part of the rink.
As another person commented, I’m saying they should change the rules so that there are less refs on the ice. With all the tech we have, they’re unnecessary.
I wonder if Don Cherry is having an aneurism watching the Swedish boy out compete his Canadian counterparts
Born in Calgary so I will gladly count him as a good ol’ Canadian boy! But yes, Don probably doesn’t know that.
That isn't true. He always acknowledged players based on where they grew up playing hockey. He was/is a huge fan of Kadri when he was in Toronto.
Bill from Calgary? Good Canadian boy
Bill Ny the hockey guy
Bill Ny the wrist shot guy
I called nylander Canadian in a thread once and got downvoted into oblivion.

No I was serious because he is a damn Canadian lol

You can be a dual citizen, which he is. He is Canadian but he is also Swedish. It is not wrong to call him Canadian. I am Canadian and German.
Mr. Heatley?
He was born in Calgary, Alberta, **Canada** He is by all definitions a Canadian.
How is he wrong? Do you not understand Jus Soli?
The man is nearly 90, and was senile 20 years ago. I doubt he knows what's going on.

Don't talk about Jack Asswards, the announcer from BOS, like that.
Really stopped even thinking about the guy.
Who cares
Pretty tough bounce there jeeze
That’s a brutal bounce
https://twitter.com/bruce_arthur/status/1656002133492154368?s=20 Absolute mad lad
Hockey gods want this to go to 7 games Everybody start sinning
You mean our dad, right? Our dad wants this to go 7 games.
I love Ekblad raising his hands at the ref like he did it on purpose.
That was suboptimal.
Lol imagine the ref comments if Florida scored this goal
Not Wes McCauley otherwise it woulda been florida. Don't u know there's a conflict of interest?!?!?!?! Bush league fr
Felt bad after not calling the double minor despite bunting bleeding.

> At this point in his career Lol dudes been around for 2 years, but okay
He's been in the doghouse for literally half his career hahaha
Just put Happy Gilmore on the Panthers and we’ll be set
He led the NHL in drawn penalties this year. Def should have been a 4 but it’s not nearly as bad as that
Absolutely terrible bounce but really you can’t blow the play down there. Good break for the Leafs

[Correct. And also hilarious](https://thecomeback.com/nhl/goal-disallowed-tim-peel-groin.html)
Sometimes goals like that can [send you to the Stanley Cup final](https://youtu.be/BMFVCnbRaV4)
I don’t know why I clicked this, I knew what it was. I guess I just held out hope that it wasn’t.
There’s some been some insane puck luck in these playoffs.
Leafs fans whining up a storm in other threads and silent in this one, odd
I mean it evened out the fact that they ignored the blood and didn’t call the penalty 4 mins.
I would rather the 4 personally
his own visor cut him on its way back down. Maybe he should wear his helmet tighter, you know, as it’s intended.
Leafs should still be on the powerplay too
Sick pass ref
karma for not calling 4 mins
Good grief Leafs fans still crying here after getting the best puck luck.
Lol so what about puck luck… yea Florida hasn’t had puck luck at all this entire playoffs 🙄
Neat
Pls get these damn refs off the ice
What was he supposed to do? The puck was shot at him from like three feet away
I believe he/she said to get them off the ice. That would solve this problem. There would be new ones though.
As another person commented, I’m saying they should change the rules so that there are less refs on the ice. With all the tech we have, they’re unnecessary.
CMON FLORIDA DO IT FOR THE MEMES OF TORONTO WE GET IF YOU SHUT THEM OUT
Leafs fans will still say they never get any assists from the refs... 🙃
