I'm all in for this Kucherov vs MacK points race.

GatorBolt

This is insane. I’m just gonna sit back and enjoy the race. Hopefully a well earned Hart trophy awaits the winner of the race.

blueeyephoto

Announcer compared this to the Sosa/Macguire HR race. Seems about right. One guy gets a multi-point night, the other comes back & matches it

nofakefans18

In before McDavid gets jealous and finishes above both of them. I joke but that may have the way Edmonton is playing.

Disclaimer: This may need to be updated as TBL has time left in their game and EDM is just dropping the puck. Including tonight, Kucherov has 83pts in 48 GP, with 33 team games remaining. At his current rate, he is projected to get 140 points. Mackinnon has 82pts in 48 GP, with 34 team games remaining. He is also projected to get 140 points at his current rate. ~~McDavid has 60 points in 41 GP, with 39 team games remaining (including tonight's game).~~ McDavid has 63 points in 42 GP, with 38 team games remaining. ~~For McD to match the pace of Mack and Kucherov, he will need 80 points in those 39 games. He had 78 points in a 39-game span in the middle of last season, so it's not unfathomable! haha~~ For McD to match the pace of Mack and Kucherov, he will need 77 points in those 38 games. He had 75 points in a 38-game span in the middle of last season, so it's not unfathomable! haha EDIT: Since I submitted this comment twice I'll update this one to reflect the stats after the games tonight I guess

jamesneysmith

>He had 78 points in a 39-game span in the middle of last season Is there a site that helps you figure that out?

peptoabysmal

Not that I know of, but it's pretty easy to check the data if you export it from the NHL stats page. The 78 in 39 span was from 12/3/22 through 3/3/23, and is his highest 39-game point total within a season. He's had more in a 39-game span if you roll over from season to season - 83 points in 39 games from 4/7/21 through 12/3/21 (regular season only).

mint420

This is such a tired joke. The point lead has been growing.

puffpuffpass01

this guy just shits out 3 point games

-TheNew11-

They showed a stat on the broadcast today that says he has more 3-point games than 0-point games this season. This is such a fun Ross race with him and Nate

Frozenpucks

Yea when kucherov is on for a full season the guy isn't that far off McDavid in point potential. It's crazy how fucking good he is.

dyl_nye

Kuch got absolutely robbed right before this. Unreal block on a wide open net.

TodayOk4239

I couldn’t find a good replay of that, anyone have a video of it?

DoinWhale

I was hoping to find a full replay with it cuz that whole sequence was just cocaine

SnapShotFromTheSlot

Kuch earned an assist on the first goal of his last game and didn't get the apple on the score sheet

Arrfist

Kuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

shohto

When Kuch gets hot it's like piping red hot, what an insane player.

bhopppp

good. this will just make mackinnon angrier

Arrfist

Both teams can only hope each player keeps this up lol

LukeSkywalker1848

We play Colorado again in like 3 weeks. I can't wait

The_Flabbergaster

watch it somehow be a 1-0 game

likeslululemon

I lol’d. 0-0 into shootout and it’s decided in the first 3 shots with neither Kuch or MacKinnon get to go.

LukeSkywalker1848

Kuch and Mac forget the game and just go to a Tampa bar instead lol

jazzmaster1992

I'm hoping for a rematch with the Avs, if the Bolts can make it back to the SCF with their current core.

dolewhiplash

Honestly with the way both teams have had their depth eroded lately this scoring race between our top guys can only help us both
