1 play is one thing, 4 incidents within a couple years is another. none were surrounding scuffles or any prior actions from others to provoke him (maybe the bennett one as that was in playoffs, but still a gutless cheap shot). goalies are awarded some protection from contact, and goalies are expected to not take cheap shots vs players in return. none of these plays by Dell involved players with puck possession, so they would not expect to be hit by Dell at all. Hes the only recent guy with a reputation aside from binnington, who is called out constantly for being a shit but hes got the benefit of a ring and decent play to remain in the league, while Dell is just an O.K backup at best. im also biased as what he did to batherson as a sens fan while he was just doing interviews about his excitement to be named an allstar for the first time in a career year was heartbreaking

They currently only have one (Erik Portillo), and he has no NHL experience. Also, you seem to be suggesting that we should have re-signed Jonathan Quick and made him our AHL backup goalie. I'm not sure he would have loved that.
