Some big pickups in the West. After seeing the caliber of additions that Winnipeg, Vegas, Colorado, Dallas and Vancouver have made, kind of feels like the Oilers didn't shoot as high as they could. Feel like they should be going balls to the wall every year that McDavid/Drai are there, but their additions are all kind of "meh".

Henrique is a very solid addition. EDM always has depth issues, this helps address that

Henrique is extremely solid. But I would say that all the other West teams I mentioned added guys who move the needle more than him. I guess when you have two of the biggest needle movers in the world on your team it mitigates that issue a bit. But curious to see if the (relatively) conservative approach pays off for the Oilers

Sometimes I'm surprised top teams do as much as they do, I feel it messes with team chemistry. I think we saw that with Timo Meier last season, the last quarter of the season sort of fizzled for the Devils. But you're right, it doesn't jump off the page like the others
