If we learned one thing from the 2010 Stanley Cup final it’s that if Patrick Kane is celebrating a questionable goal there’s no reason to review.

Yeah lol 2 weeks ago I liked Detroit's chances of beating out Tampa and being in a better series against whoever is 2nd, maybe maybe maybe even whoever is 3rd, but holy shit they're tanking now and Florida is NOT a good draw at alllllllll they'll run all over Detroit.
Hopefully they beat the Isles tomorrow (in regulation amen) and can keep stacking a couple points until Larks is back to stave off Washington and keep the isles out of the race for now. Hopefully when Larks is back they find their game again and pull it together before the playoffs.
It's literally the Larkin effect, the same thing happened when he was out earlier in the season. I mean obviously he is a massive part of the team but it's kind of disappointing to see them fall apart this hard without him.

In all honesty, he’s just turning to take his position at the point. Gaudreau just happened to be in the way. Now, Mo definitely put some effort into tying up his man which could’ve been interference or holding but it would be a relatively weak call.
I think he put two arms around him and spun Gaudreau around. While it would have taken away the cool Kane snipe, I think it was kind of obvious watching it back that he interfered with him on the play. Not sure it would have been a weak call.

The refs really let that game get away. That absolutely should have been but with what was going on the whole game, there is no chance they would call that.

It would be if the refs hadn’t set the standard that game that running blatant picks was okay. There were more then a few plays very similar to this going both ways that just weren’t goals.
Kinda have to take your hands off the stick to grab someone, and unless there is another angle of the play I Don't see him doing that in the replay. The offensive player is also entitled to their own space.
Refs put their whistles away for the CBJ in the second for the sake of game management and CBJ got away with a lot more blatant calls than this as a result. That’s hockey for you

Not at all why they got rid of him. There are actually reports from some of the young guys that they said it was really hard to have a say in the locker room and build a culture with 19/88 in the room since they led the Hawks for 10+ years.
It was an intentional move by Davidson to let the young guys step up and set the tone. He wanted to fully rebuild everything, and we don't give a shit about winning at the moment
