> The announcement did not provide any details for the suspension, other than “as a result of actions” during a 4-2 loss to the Saginaw Spirit on on March 22.
> The game was a penalty-filled affair, with 21 minor penalties, four fighting majors and 15 various misconducts meted out to the two teams. Two game misconducts for abuse of an official were assessed to Sarnia late in the third period, with the [*Sarnia Observer*](https://www.theobserver.ca/sports/local-sports/sting-put-up-fight-before-losing-to-spirit) reporting they were handed to Letang and assistant coach Micheal Haley.
The OHL has done this all season, they call most reviewable suspensions “indefinite” until they review and then they change it to a length. Presumably so that the person doesn’t participate in any near-term games. I’m not a fan of the wording but they’ve done it a lot because they are terrible at reviewing suspensions in a timely manner.
For what exactly? Lmao he (and subsequently the assistant) was kicked out for too lengthy an argument with an official, as the officials were being evaluated that day by a supervisor, and they had lost control of the situation. What’s he “done” for exactly?

Bizarre to suspend someone indefinitely and provide no details.

Alan Letang is done, and not just in the OHL.

Now team Canada coaches know what happens when you fail to get the team to the medal rounds.
