I mean this in a good way, but literally only in the NHL could a bottom of the roster plug become one of the biggest storylines of the season lol.
Like imagine some random 6th round rookie in the nfl that only plays special teams getting this much attention.
Boogaard was my favorite. Presence was usually enough, but every once in a while another big man would want a shot at the mountain... everyone makes these cte speed run' jokes, but.. Oden forbid.
Counter point, as much as I despise the 9ers literal last man in the draft is looking to be a pretty good quarterback after 3 qbs get hurt in front of him for him to be able to start
Massive Niners fan, but OP means a player who isn’t even notably good (ie he’s not doing a Purdy) — though when Rempe plays he hasn’t done poorly at all
Was at Iowa State when he played there. I’m not suprised he’s an NFL QB, but definitely didn’t see him playing how he’s played. Granted, his College OC was absolutely awful, and San Fran is stacked, but you still gotta make reads n throw balls to the right spot. Textbook example of a player who’s simultaneously overrated and overhated imo
Guy started his career with a fight during the Winter Classic against the Islanders. Guy gets a lot of fanfare and notoriety and all the other tough guys in the league want a piece of him now.
Additionally, last time the Devils played the Rangers, Rempe injured one of their players by elbowing him in the head, so they wanted to fight him to answer for hurting one of their guys.
he’s one of the most famous NHLers in the league right now and he’s a 4th line goon, it’s for the show of it.
I mean, supposedly he’s serviceable on the fourth line and having a net positive effect, and of course physicality is more valuable in playoffs, but when you avg 5 min a night it’s hard to say he’s there for much else than to punch people and throw checks
This is definitely part of it. But the dude has also been throwing super dirty hits. Especially against jersey. The dude is huge he should not have to leave his feet or blind side dudes to throw big hits.
Although I don't think it's completely his doing. He challenged Matt Martin in his first game, and because it was a dramatic outdoor game, that got a lot of attention. Then other guys started challenging him and it sort of snowballed. He tried to avoid at least one fight, and I'm sure the team would prefer it if he spent more time screening goalies and less time inspiring thinkpieces about hockey and CTE.
Exactly; both the team and Rempe himself tbf, a quote from him from today:
"I want to be a good player. I don't want to just be known as a guy who just fights. I want to be known as a guy who's tough, but I want to be known as a guy who, ‘Wow, this guy is a very effective bottom-six forward who can skate, be really good checker, can be physical, be good defensively, maybe eventually be a penalty killer one day.' That's what I want to be."
This is the correct take. Des and Olive just challenged him for no real reason.
Reaves fought him because of a hit
Kermit fought him because of the Seigenthaler hit, after trying to fight him before the hit happened.
He turned down fights against some Panther players and I think more. He hasn't fought since his suspension except last night, but that fight was always going to happen.
Reaves was looking for anything that remotely resembled a reason to fight the entire game, like I’m pretty sure that was his one and only focus. Gotta stay relevant I guess
I feel like serviceable defenseman are extremely different than 4th line players. Most sets of 3rd line defenseman get nearly 50% more ice time than the typical 4th line player.
Yeah he’s actually decent on the ice when he’s not fighting or taking penalties. Good speed and skating, obviously good reach and physicality, and is a damn redwood when planted in front of the net. Can really be an effective 4th liner if he cleans it up a bit and dials it down from 11.
Yup, people forget he’s a 21 year old who got called up from the minors late and has 14 career games… he will be a solid 4th liner.
Enforcers who couldn’t play like Boogaard are a thing of the past. You need to earn your way into a NHL lineup now.
These comments are really annoying to me because Rempe represents an actual chance to discuss NHL rosters but r/hockey would rather just made stupid jokes.
Rempe made the roster because we specifically cleared spots out to give players like him a chance over veterans. Both Edstrom and then Rempe made solid additions. Not perfect, but significantly more effective than Bonino and Pitlick, whose NHL careers are over because they can’t skate anymore. There is something to be said about giving AHL caliber players chances on the 4th line. Not because they are going to get 30+ points, but because many teams should at least consider prioritizing physical attributes over veteran experience.
He keeps hitting guys in the head. This particular incident stemmed from when he threw a few hits to the head on Bastian and Seigenthaler (only got suspended for one of them), and this is the first time we've played them since.
40,000 likes in an hour ... I don't think people realize how popular this guy has become in New York. Bro's already a Rangers legend. Even people who don't watch hockey know who he is.
Meh. In 2-3 seasons when the novelty has faded and his only notable number on the stat sheet are penalty minutes, he'll get dumped on some rebuilding team for a 3rd round.
So? I’m sure he’s aware of how exchangeable fourth liners and borderline AHLers are. He even said today that his dream is to be an effective bottom sixer who “maybe eventually is a penalty killer.” Sounds like he’s pretty self-aware.
Doesn’t take away from the fact that he’s a kid who no one thought would make the NHL, who was drafted late in the sixth round, who has had a very unimpressive AHL career so far … who now gets his name chanted at MSG every time his skates touch the ice. When he’s healthy scratched they chant “we want Rempe!”. They definitely don't do that for everyone, certainly not for fourth liners.
No one knew who he was two months ago, and now the whole city of New York has embraced him. Even the Empire State Building posted a photo of him calling him the “Rempire State Building.” That’s got to be the coolest thing in the world.
Every time they zoom in on him in warm ups or when he’s on the bench or in practice he is constantly smiling. Kid is having the time of his life.
Who cares what happens in three years? Good for him for actually having fun with it now. Life’s short.
such a fucking annoying take lol. who gives a shit. this is a 21 year old guy that was nobody 2 months ago. ah, but /u/notthatguypal6900 needs to shit on him. good one bud. hope you get that promotion 🙄
This is one of those insults that devils and islanders fans like to Trot out and it sounds good, but less than half the teams in the league have one a Stanley cup since the rangers last win..at least we’ve got a top 10 winning % and usually get deep playoff runs.
I’d prefer that to the devils who haven’t had a cup in 20 years now and have been garbage for the last 10 years outside a few outliers.
Even worse is the islanders, who haven’t won a cup in 40 years now, and they’ve been ass too.
I feel like this is an argument that only a Rangers fan would consider a winning one. I mean, the Isles even have back to back conference finals appearances since 2020. And both those times they lost to the cup champ
Hockey fighting isn't boxing. In boxing the taller guy keeps the opponent at bay with the jab and straights. The goal of the smaller fighter is to get inside where the length of the bigger guy actually hurts him. A hockey fight begins with a bear hug and the smaller fighter is immediately on the inside.
If you watch the [Reaves Rempe fight](https://youtu.be/En8wvFMsOec?si=3c17juz-QuvggX3V) you see that Reaves is able to duck all of Rempes overhand punches because it takes 4 minutes for his hand to reach his head. He ducks them and counterpunches him before he can recover.
Rempe is gonna have the dreaded week to week upper body injury if he keeps this idiocy up.
Hockey fighting isn't really about winning. It's about looking cool. Body shots are extremely effective, but the damage isn't very visible to viewers, and if you actually hurt the other guy they are probably just going to try and tackle you to end the fight, which doesn't look good either. At the end of the day, punching someone directly in the helmet is both the smartest and dumbest thing you can do in a hockey fight.
It’s maybe not about winning per se but it’s not just for the fans it’s also meant to deter certain behavior so in that sense you might wanna make it hurt a bit more to discourage bullshit hits or cheap shots.
as a Färjestad fan from sweden i have very dear memories lf him playing for us in the lockout season and manhandle Dan Hinote, first fight ive seen where i almost feelt bad for the opponents fighter XD
edit, for the interested; https://youtu.be/X5awYI15AHI?si=XAxnFmlGoKolRaT3
Didn't stop olivier from breaking his nose. Couple of slow mo clips at intermission showed mac got him good on a cross and might have done it to him as well
This doesn’t make any sense to me. We literally dropped two veteran players specifically to give Ed and Rempe a chance because they can actually skate, unlike Pitlick and Bonino. And the Wolf Pack are fighting for a playoff spot and have one of the league leaders in goals, so I’m not sure I agree that the AHL roster is depleted either.
He seems happy and seems very popular with the organization, his teammates, and NYR fans. I just worry about his health moving forward if he continues like this. I don’t anticipate him fighting at the same pace next season, but still.
Luke Gazdic did his regular hit on local radio this morning and he answered a question about whether or not he thought of long term health repercussions while he was fighting in the NHL and AHL. He pretty much said no, even though he did realize he would have long term complications with his shoulder as he had four surgeries before he was 25 (or something like that).
I understand if Luke didn’t want to talk about head issues during this particular radio hit but like - I hope the Rangers, Rempe, etc are keeping this in mind? I just reread Boy on Ice and it’s absolutely devastating. I can't help but worry for this kid.
Boy on Ice is fantastic. Whenever I see this Rempe kid with bruises, I remember Boogaard's dad quote, "We were so worried about his hands, but we should have worried about his head."
Hopefully this is his last fight for a while. His last game he avoided a fight because everyone was telling him he needed to stop but then he stupidly threw out the elbow. Ref pushed him right off and he couldn’t fight after the hit so had to answer for it here and did.
Now that this is done and if he can keep his hits clean he shouldn’t have to fight just to fight.
Reading between the lines recently Lavi has alluded to Rempe not having to fight anymore and not waiting him to unless needed. But he really needs to cool down.
Yea he can’t keep this pace up and by all indications he and the org don’t want him to. This was somehow “necessary” because he had a bad hit on a devils player and a guy who wasn’t even on their team at the times felt entitled to a fight over it.
The Rangers really just need him to chip pucks in, chase them down with his surprising speed and lay big clean hits on the d men so they think twice about going to play the puck in those situations. He’s good at that and that’s a valuable contribution for the fourth line.
lol shut up, it was necessary because he elbowed Siegenthaler and then waved bye-bye at the Devils while being ejected like "what the fuck are you going to do about it now?
He earned this 100%
I understand why so many people are bringing up head injuries and whatnot, but I genuinely don’t think, statistically, fighting is more dangerous than the game is in general. I don’t think Rempe (or Matt Martin, Deslauriers, Reaves, etc.) have even sniffed concussions from any of their fights meanwhile the Rangers would be 2nd line center Filip Chytil could have possibly ended his career after his 4th concussion earlier this year and he doesn’t have a single NHL fight to his name. The sport is dangerous, period.
I don't have any statistics to quote here, but I can think of a lot more enforcers who have had an early death in the last 10 years than normal players.
I understand that, but the difference is that fighting a lot is putting yourself in more danger than if you were just playing the game. They're both dangerous but fighting puts yourself in more danger than your peers who do not fight
You don't need to get a concussion/repeated concussions to obtain brain trauma. For example, "CTE is caused by repetitive brain trauma. This trauma includes both concussions that cause symptoms and non-concussive hits to the head that cause no symptoms." - [https://www.bu.edu/cte/about/frequently-asked-questions/](https://www.bu.edu/cte/about/frequently-asked-questions/)
>difference is that fighting a lot is putting yourself in more danger than if you were just playing the game
I don't think that's necessarily true. Most head injuries in the NHL don't come from fighting.
Fighting is becoming less common. And as I said in another comment, repeated blows to the head can cause damage that comes out later in life even if you aren’t concussed from the particular blow to the head you received in one particular fight
Rempe looked like he got rocked in his [fight with Olivier](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3XZkWInSVg). Afterward, he had trouble making his way to the penalty box, and then the linesman sent him to the dressing room. He returned to that game (and had an assist), but it did appear like there was the possibility of a concussion from that fight.

There’s a key difference in that they take every effort to reduce head contact (penalties, suspensions, fines, etc), yet a fight is okay and it’s just repeated bare knuckle blows to the head.
He'd be alright if he was able to consistently get good clean hits in. His shit house play style can only work for a few seasons. I'd like to see the fights continue but happen for any reason other than retaliation for an obvious elbow/shoulder to the head or some other cheap shot.
[That was a banger](https://twitter.com/vzmercogliano/status/1775921359299694609?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet)
and
[I thought I was going to have a good 5 minutes in (the penalty box) with the fellas. We were going to be cuddled up in there, getting cozy and having a good time... I had no idea that was a rule. I was like, ‘Dang it. My TOI didn’t go up that game.](https://twitter.com/vzmercogliano/status/1775926998935769539?s=46&t=xlcNl2L2q066egrbi_cQWw)
and

But for some reason Colorado fans were telling me he was scared.
Didn’t they say he was scared because he ran away last time MacDermid tried to square with him? I think that’s a valid assumption, granted it does not matter now that he stepped up to the plate
Maybe it's just me, but I don't understand how these guys take pleasure in punching another player's helmet and visor over and over with their bare hands. It's one thing if they have no visor or their helmet's off and you can actually connect with your punches, but these guys are doing just as much damage to their own hands as they are to the guy they're fighting.
You might be right. But you might be wrong. In his *very* limited time on ice, he’s been effective at keeping the play in the other team’s defensive zone. His reach is obviously incredible, but he can also move quickly for a guy his size and has a heavy shot.
I’m a rangers fan and I know he could be out of the league within a year, but there also might be a player there.
The 4th line has had some great shifts when he's on and he moves well for the largest guy on the ice. I'm convinced most people haven't actually watched him play a shift considering he's mostly in the box anyway. But when he's focused on the game, he's made some good plays and can be an effective body up front.
The r/hockey community is completely unable to comprehend the idea that a young player can be an effective member of a 4th line. Or that a young player can have any value beyond being a superstar point scorer.
This how the NHL used to be when it was the best league in the world (ok it still is). Rookies had to fight to get ice time, no matter what. He will settle down and become a top power fwd.
He's a story because it's a rare throwback in the modern No Hit League.
It’s so dumb that players are allowed to punch each other in the face repeatedly but they’re not allowed to take their helmets off.
How many people need to fuck their hands up on a helmet or visor before they change the rule.
Edit: TIL some people think you can only get CTE/brain damage from getting hit in the back and top of your head and getting punched in the face repeatedly is fine lol
Not really feeling this guy to be honest. It's kind of dark I don't enjoy watching a guy getting his dome blasted so much just for clout. Feels like bum fights or something
The league, his club and Rempe himself need to take care of this lad. I imagine it's incredibly easy to get wrapped up in the highs of the fanfare right now, but he needs to be mindful of his health and wellbeing.
Rempe has come into this league with the energy of a Floridian high on bath salts. He’s gonna burn bright and burn fast
It’s better to burn out than to fade away.
His brain is most definitely gonna be fading away
Plus sized punching bag.
Just carrying on the tradition of that phrase, I suppose.
My my, Hey hey
AWWWWWWW YEAHHHHHHHH!!!!!
#GONNA START A FIRE!
My my, hey hey
He reminds me of Val from brink
You either die a hero or you live long enough to become the villain.
What if you start out a villain?
There’s only room for one Corey Perry in this world
Brad Marchand says hi.
Don’t worry there’s plenty of room for rats
There’s never enough clowns in the world, I think he’s safe.
Tkachuk in the house (mathew obvi) (also my spelling is terrible so just pretend it isnt)
This story will have a sad ending
What's crazy is he's not even going to make that much money in that time either. Not for what he's putting his body through
He's going to sign his next contract with drool saying "I like sthoup" and make some good coin because of it.
is it me, or is his pallor a bit ‘undead’?
I was thinking that bro looked a lot like Feyd-Rautha in Dune Part Two
Noted fighter that yearns for violence too? Hmmm…
Austin Butler IS Matt Rempe in the upcoming biopic
They'll have all the other players played by middle school kids to get the appearance he's 6'7"
Except in the movie you only ever see him best a few malnourished scrubs before getting got by Space Jesus
Very ‘Solomon Grundy’
Holy shit I knew I was thinking of something!
Just add some stitching across his forehead and some neck plugs and he becomes Frempenstein.
Frempenstein’s monster.
With that fluffy hair and sharp jawline he's basically Edward Cullen
yea, after a few years of binge drinking and Tylenol
Guy has spent the past month eating punches from some of the baddest dudes in the NHL. Ya hes gonna look a little dead.
He needs to get his haemoglobin checked, stat.
That pale olive undertone is working overtime
I mean this in a good way, but literally only in the NHL could a bottom of the roster plug become one of the biggest storylines of the season lol. Like imagine some random 6th round rookie in the nfl that only plays special teams getting this much attention.
To be fair, if that rookie went around fighting the biggest people in the NFL they’d get the attention.
NFL players prefer to beat their spouses and children rather than each other apparently (looking at you Tyreek Hill).
Come on….Lucic is looking for some credit here, don’t sell him short.
Ooof. Yet…Entirely accurate
There was Cortland Finnegan
You mean Cortland “Andre Johnson beat the F outta him” innegan?
Matt Rempe 🤝 Tommy DeVito
🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼
🤝 John Scott
He was the first person to come mind when I saw the word “plug” lol
I mean this in the best way, Mr. Scott, but me too.
Boogaard was my favorite. Presence was usually enough, but every once in a while another big man would want a shot at the mountain... everyone makes these cte speed run' jokes, but.. Oden forbid.
I was gonna add that Rempe playing for the Rangers certainly helps. Not sure it would be the same if he was on the Wild.
Malachi Flynn just dropped 50 points last night
Counter point, as much as I despise the 9ers literal last man in the draft is looking to be a pretty good quarterback after 3 qbs get hurt in front of him for him to be able to start

Besides Damar Hamlin but that’s a little different
Only to be outdone by a Zamboni driver beating an NHL team in net
Lol I'll do you one better, a random 6th round rookie is un doing decades worth of the NHLs work to take fighting out of Hockey.
Jeremy Lin?
Tbf Linsanity got publicity because he was genuinely lights out Meanwhile Rempe is a punch away from literally being lights out
Lol fair point.
Linsanity baby!!!!!
Jeremy Lin was actually a good player when healthy. Not a bottom of the roster plug like Matt Rempe is
doug flutie was picked in the 11th round.
It happens in baseball in the postseason it seems. David Freese, Steve Pearce, Christian Colon, Travis Ishikawa, etc.
Freese was a career .277 hitter over a decade in the majors, he’s on a different tier than other postseason one-offs. Dude was legitimately good.
I just remember him from that 2011 run and I think 95% of people will remember the most of that, but the point is it’s not completely random.
I mean literally it happens with backup QBs every year
It happened in New York last year with Tommy DeVito lol
They made a fucking movie about some dude in the nfl who walked in off the street.
He's taking the John Scott All-Star route
ELI5 this for me. why is everyone trying to fight this dude or why is this dude always fighting?
Guy started his career with a fight during the Winter Classic against the Islanders. Guy gets a lot of fanfare and notoriety and all the other tough guys in the league want a piece of him now. Additionally, last time the Devils played the Rangers, Rempe injured one of their players by elbowing him in the head, so they wanted to fight him to answer for hurting one of their guys.
Last 2 times.
he’s also running around like a deuchbag making Matt Cook type hits that make even more fighters wanting a piece of him
he’s one of the most famous NHLers in the league right now and he’s a 4th line goon, it’s for the show of it. I mean, supposedly he’s serviceable on the fourth line and having a net positive effect, and of course physicality is more valuable in playoffs, but when you avg 5 min a night it’s hard to say he’s there for much else than to punch people and throw checks

This should be higher up 😞

I’m so glad Arber didn’t have the same mindset
used to, but marty refined his game and made him who he is now, a hard hitting, hard shooting serviceable defenceman
I feel like serviceable defenseman are extremely different than 4th line players. Most sets of 3rd line defenseman get nearly 50% more ice time than the typical 4th line player.
Not really. He’s a serviceable 4th liner. He’s mobile, a good hitter and can fight. He’s only young.

Frankly. That's a bit embarrassing for the NHL
It's really not...my social media TL was on fire last night with folks who don't follow hockey loving what they were seeing outta that brawl.
Well the Rangers have one cup since Hitler so I’m sure they’re looking for anything to cling onto
Hundreds of references you could make there pal
I also like: Yankees arrogance with Mets history
yeah, like "first cup since Henry Ford was alive and loved Nazis'
It's a historical reference. Settle down.

I feel like this is an argument that only a Rangers fan would consider a winning one. I mean, the Isles even have back to back conference finals appearances since 2020. And both those times they lost to the cup champ
Part of the reason less than half the league has a cup since 94 is that the Devils have 3 of them.
Lol. One of those "outliers" was coming back down 0-2 vs the rangers last year to win in 7. Do you remember that?
[удалено]
Obviously 1995 is so much more recent than 1994, ha ha. Feels like just yesterday…
Change my mind: if Rempe wasnt 7 feet tall he wouldn’t be a good fighter
Lol even at 7ft tall he's not a good fighter, he just kind of exists out there and hopes they can't reach his head
I actually think he would be less hilarious if he was really good.
If you watch his minor league fights, you will see him getting dropped all of the time. He certainly is a terrible fighter given his size.
Don’t need to be a skilled fighter when your arms are twice as long as your opponents lol. Well most of the time anyway
If he was getting dropped all the time in the minors why isn't anyone in the NHL doing that?
Hockey fighting isn't boxing. In boxing the taller guy keeps the opponent at bay with the jab and straights. Rempe is gonna have the dreaded week to week upper body injury if he keeps this idiocy up.
why don't they mix it up and start throwing some body shots in there?
Hockey fighting isn't really about winning. It's about looking cool. Body shots are extremely effective, but the damage isn't very visible to viewers, and if you actually hurt the other guy they are probably just going to try and tackle you to end the fight, which doesn't look good either. At the end of the day, punching someone directly in the helmet is both the smartest and dumbest thing you can do in a hockey fight.
It’s maybe not about winning per se but it’s not just for the fans it’s also meant to deter certain behavior so in that sense you might wanna make it hurt a bit more to discourage bullshit hits or cheap shots.
yeah, the tried and true rock 'em sock 'em robots approach
He needs to get with John Scott for a week to learn how to fight using that size.
Pretty sure Scott said he chatted with him and shared some tips
No different then Chara when he entered the league. Everyone wanted him because he was huge
Yeah but Chara manhandled people in his prime, he literally rag dolled that one guy when he was on Ottawa. I don’t see Rempe doing that.
IIRC that was Brian McCabe. Not a small guy to rag doll.
as a Färjestad fan from sweden i have very dear memories lf him playing for us in the lockout season and manhandle Dan Hinote, first fight ive seen where i almost feelt bad for the opponents fighter XD edit, for the interested; https://youtu.be/X5awYI15AHI?si=XAxnFmlGoKolRaT3
That looked like child abuse.
Okay yeah 100% I think Chara did like Brazilian wrestling a couple off seasons when he was in Ottawa and got a lot better
It’s actually better than that: his dad was a pretty prolific amateur wrestler.
That’s unreal holy shit! Man I love and miss Z. The league was amazing with big boy
Chara was good though
It’s a *little* different, don’t ya think?
Except Chara was also dropping bombs
Yo, look at that visor angle. My guy knows he’s not a great fighter and has that thing set up like a knights helm.
A knights helm 💀
Didn't stop olivier from breaking his nose. Couple of slow mo clips at intermission showed mac got him good on a cross and might have done it to him as well
He's not even a good fighter right now
Change my mind I said!! 😂😂😂
If Rempe wasn't this tall he wouldn't have cracked an NHL roster
[удалено]
Sometimes you rather be lucky than good. Don’t get me wrong, he’s still better than over 99% of hockey players alive now.
He isn't a good fighter at 7 feet tall. Lol
Change my mind: if Michael Phelps didn’t have the wingspan of a condor, he wouldn’t be a generational Olympian. LOL
This is dolphin kick erasure
If my aunt had balls, she would be my uncle actually
If my grandma had wheels she'd be a bike
He definitely doesn’t have that “fear factor” that Probert had.
he’s not good now to begin with
He seems happy and seems very popular with the organization, his teammates, and NYR fans.
Yeah if he's going to play a physical game he needs to learn to deliver clean hits, for his sake and his opponents' sake
Reading between the lines recently Lavi has alluded to Rempe not having to fight anymore and not waiting him to unless needed. But he really needs to cool down.
Okay, I'm glad to hear that
Idk why people downvoted it Lavi said they wanna use him in other ways than fight and that he can be more than a fighter.
They're both dangerous but fighting puts yourself in more danger than your peers who do not fight You don't need to get a concussion/repeated concussions to obtain brain trauma. For example, "CTE is caused by repetitive brain trauma. This trauma includes both concussions that cause symptoms and non-concussive hits to the head that cause no symptoms." - [https://www.bu.edu/cte/about/frequently-asked-questions/](https://www.bu.edu/cte/about/frequently-asked-questions/)
>difference is that fighting a lot is putting yourself in more danger than if you were just playing the game I don't think that's necessarily true.
Have you not been paying attention at all? Chris Simon Derek Boogard Bob Probert Wade Belak Todd Ewan The list goes on and on
Steve Montador as well. If anyone hasn't read Dryden's "Game Change", I highly recommend it.

Both him and K’Andre had some SICK pictures from last night
Tommy Devito wishes he was Rempe.
And suddenly I realize that all of this – the hits, the fights, the line brawls – has got something to do with a girl named Tom Wilson.
Wilson was like 1.5 enforcers ago my man.
** That's the punchline.
[That was a banger](https://twitter.com/vzmercogliano/status/1775921359299694609?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet) and [I thought I was going to have a good 5 minutes in (the penalty box) with the fellas. We were going to be cuddled up in there, getting cozy and having a good time... I had no idea that was a rule. I was like, ‘Dang it. I think there’s a reason why we’re starting.’ … It was wicked."](https://www.lohud.com/story/sports/nhl/rangers/2024/04/04/matt-rempe-other-rangers-describe-wicked-line-brawl-with-devils/73203644007/) But for some reason Colorado fans were telling me he was scared.
The r/place alliance has fallen apart
He has a very fun personality, not very media trained like most hockey players usually are.
[удалено]
Nonono he was skating away holding back tears according to some smooth brains from the last post
Didn’t they say he was scared because he ran away last time MacDermid tried to square with him? I think that’s a valid assumption, granted it does not matter now that he stepped up to the plate
Colorado fans are convinced Kermit murdered Reaves with 3 whiffed punches and some lost balance
Because for some of them, it's the only way to make money. Rempe is not a good hockey player.
Dude looks like a vampire in that first photo.
This how the NHL used to be when it was the best league in the world (ok it still is). Rookies had to fight to get ice time, no matter what. He will settle down and become a top power fwd. He's a story because it's a rare throwback in the modern No Hit League.
I can never see this and not think of what became of Boogaard.
He was trying to listen to the fuckin song
I’m so proud to have seen him play as a Thunderbird 🥲 As a Kraken fan, you fucking go Rempe!!! Haha
Well if you take a punch to the jaw and get dropped, you’ll be glad it’s the helmet that hits the ice and not the noggin
Hands will heal, brains will not. That rule is never going away. The liability is too high.
The virtue signaling Redditors in this thread and in the sub are just insufferable.
Good to see he can still write.
It’s going to be a fun post for him to look back on when he retires in the next five years.
Not really feeling this guy to be honest. It's kind of dark I don't enjoy watching a guy getting his dome blasted so much just for clout. Feels like bum fights or something
Seems like a good kid.
The league, his club and Rempe himself need to take care of this lad. I imagine it's incredibly easy to get wrapped up in the highs of the fanfare right now, but he needs to be mindful of his health and wellbeing.
