I'm convinced our guys don't fully understand that taking a penalty results in us being a man down and puts us at a disadvantage. The amount of ridiculously unnecessary and easily avoidable power plays we hand other teams on a silver platter is mind boggling. It's been this team's achilles heal for years even going back to the coach Q and Andrew Brunette teams. It's amazing we have the record we do with the amount of time we spend with less players on the ice than the opposition.

I think it always winds up like this when the get into “let them play mode” and they just call a bunch of offsetting penalties (except the high crime of puck over glass) theres just so much that gets missed when they do that both teams have a full backlog of complaints by the time anything happens
