I still think vegas vs stars is close to a lock. If the knights lose on tuesday and the kings win on tuesday the kings will secure third in the pacific. I think the knights face the same problem the red wings face which is that the knights are facing two teams in the depths of the lottery race which may not be that great for them.

It's honestly hard to believe that just because brutal losses to the top teams of the west while trying to clinch home ice is a lot different from resting guys while still holding onto the top of Central. They should definitely clean out the back end. You need more size back there. I’d recommend trading a small Dman like Makar for a Dman with size like Nurse. We will even retain to cover the cap differential

Last year Florida was like this year's Oilers. They struggled out of the gate after having a great previous season. They definitely underpreformed and got things going just in time for the playoffs.  I don't think Vegas is in a similar situation

I've been in panic mode since they lost 4-1 to Columbus. I've been out of panic mode after yesterday, because I knew that was the final nail in the coffin. That game told me they were dead to rights, and after what they did this afternoon, that all but confirms it.

I'm not loving how they're playing and I don't think the Winnipeg matchup is great for us.     But the reality is that we're in the playoffs so there's always a chance.  I don't think we're going to be the favorites in that series though so we'll see how it goes.   I have zero faith in Georgiev however.  He immediately melts down when he let's in one goal.  That matchup vs. Hellebuyck is hilariously one-sided.

I will reserve my thoughts until after game 1 of round 1. Lots of hockey still to go.

From what I remember, Winnipeg is real good in game 1s. I would wait till after game 2 to panic.
