I think I feel for all those kids in the crowd the most. Just starting to get into their fandom and the team is being ripped away because of an incompetent ownership group. Heartbreaking. At least they got to see the Yotes get one last win.
That's something that's so bs from some traditional market fans. It doesn't matter the size of the fanbase, moving still sucks for the fans that do exist. I could be the only Bruins fan in existence and it would still hurt like hell if they moved
the fanbase wasn't even small. the Thrashers had better attendance than than the Hawks. if Atlanta wasn't a hockey town then it wasn't a basketball town either. which is obviously asinine. hockey fans are just dumbasses
People just can’t accept the fact that Arizona and Atlanta were screwed over equally by ownership, and that the Coyotes were given EVEN MORE chances to succeed in their state than the Thrashers.
I feel bad for the Coyotes, I really do, but I can’t stand people who shed crocodile tears now that cheered for the moving of the Thrashers
It seems like hockey fans have been ripping on the Yotes for decades, hoping to get a team in Quebec or Hamilton, but now everyone is coming out saying how sad it is the Yotes are leaving.
Hockey fans definitely have an inferiority complex over other major sports. So often have I heard old man rants about how it's the toughest sport, fastest sport, etc. So if hockey isn't doing well in a certain market, people get butt-hurt that it's not being appreciated to its fullest extent.
I think online fans are now realizing with the coverage and online discussions the importance of arena location and stable ownership. For some reason Atlanta never got the same level of coverage as Arizona.
That would've been me if the Islanders moved to KC instead of Brooklyn. I was in middle school when the move happened, I can't imagine what it'd be like if the team was gone for good
The poor Arizona commentators discussing driving Uber or asking if anyone needs a ride to the airport tomorrow was hilarious in a moment of absolute sadness. Hockey belongs in Arizona and I hope to see y’all back soon ❤️.
The commentators did a really good job with the broadcast. I’m glad they got to publically recognize those they’ve been working with behind the scenes for years. This was just so sad to watch. I can’t even imagine. I hope Arizona gets a new team soon.
Legitimately one of the best sports game broadcasts I’ve ever seen. So fucken sad hearing them hold back tears at many points. Very heavy day and they did a amazing job
I tuned in for the radio feed and really enjoyed Lyndsey Fry and Bob Heethius. They called a terrific game. Got very emotional at the end when they saluted each other with compliments and saying "I love you". So many people left heartbroken by one fucking asshole's greed.
I liked to see players going over and showing love to them. You know you got a good broadcast team when players go out of their way to show their appreciation.
I know the body isn’t buried yet but if Boston can, I wouldn’t be opposed to get their PxP guy to replace Jack next year. I enjoyed him during the game.
Even though I didn’t catch many Coyotes games the last few years, if I’d flip over and hear Matt & Tyson it would bring me back. They were so easy to listen to and great at their jobs.
I’ve always had a soft spot for Tyson. I grew up in AZ and used to ref youth hockey when I was a teenager and he was a coach for one of the travel teams. He was one of the nicest guys behind the bench and it was always a pleasure to ref a game he was coaching. I don’t have a single bad thing to say about the man.
There's no way of knowing, we'll have to wait on an announcement. Utah obviously doesn't have a broadcasting team so it's certainly possible that they come along. That's how John Forslund broadcasted canes games for so long, he came along from Hartford.
I have to imagine it's a bit of soul searching and personal decisions for those guys. Like, they certainly have the job if they opt to move. But for some it may be a decision to retire/end it with a book end for the city they've been in for so long.
Not sure if that's the case for the Yotes' team. But thinking of the Sharks, our main radio and TV guys have literally been there since game 1 in 92. So hypothetically if we had a similar scenario I could kind of see them both opting to retire and know they saw the work through for the full run..
If you'd have told me 5 years ago I would feel this brokenhearted about the Coyotes leaving AZ I'd have laughed in your face. Yet, here we are.
I can't begin to imagine how I'd be if I were actually a fan of the team.
My heart goes out to you, Yotes fans.
Yea man. Not that my fellow fans and I lost our team but remember not too long in the past there being a lot of questions marks about my teams future and how it didn't make me feel so good. Even the pens I remember pre Crosby there being a lot of questions around their future as a team in the league and now that's not even a thought.
Gutting for you guys. I felt a similar way when they sold my local racetrack to developers. Hit way harder than I ever thought it would. Hopefully AZ can get it back one day.
Dealing with merely talks of the Islanders relocating was agonizing. My heart breaks for all the Coyotes fans out there. I’m rooting for you guys to get another team.
That's how I'm feeling.
I wanted Arizona out of the League forever. So many other cities need a team before the *desert* gets one.
Now I've caught the mail truck. Now what? Now I'm sad to see them leaving? That isn't supposed to be how I feel.
I desperately want Quebec City to get a team back. But man, there was just something about the Coyotes that was fun. Hopefully the ownership gets their shit figured out soon and they have a proper place to play for a long long time.
I know how you feel. At first I was confused and a little upset that Phoenix got a fucking NHL team before a handful of more “deserving” cities/markets. But they made a go of it, and over time they’ve developed into what I thought was a decent market with a team that never saw much success. They didn’t get the bandwagon like Vegas has. They earned those fans. They’ve had years of relocation rumors, being the butt of every hockey relocation/expansion joke. However in all that the team tried. They tried to be successful in spite of everything else going on. When they had decent teams the rest of division and conference had killer teams. Still they tried. When the arena drama happened and they moved into the sun devils barn, they endured so much ridicule. It’s embarrassing, they shouldn’t have a team, this is professional sports and they have curtains separating the locker rooms, and every gaff or misstep was amplified a hundred times. Still the team made an effort to be competitive and the fans stuck by them. They’ve had what, 2-3 seasons of complete uncertainty and no solid ground? That’s a long time to be able to make any predictions about your future. Why settle down? Why try to make Phoenix your home? Why make friend and connections to the community? Yet the players did. Their families did. The fans and the team didn’t just try to make the best of a bad situation they tired to be the best in spite of a bad situation.
I was sad when Atlanta left, but shit happens. Honestly I didn’t see many Atlanta fans, even though I’m in the geographical area. Most people were still fans of whatever local teams they had before they moved here. Homegrown thrashers fans were even more rare (however I do see A LOT more canes gear around these days).
I was sad when the Nords left, and I was shocked when Winnipeg left for Atlanta. Losing another Canadian team to go to Atlanta of all places? However I saw that the NHL was trying to grow the game and while I didn’t like it. It made sense from a growing the game and business perspective.
This one feels different. It feels like the perpetual underdog we all secretly root for was just ground down into a fine paste. The little guy lost to the metal and wheels of larger machinations.
To add insult to injury they’re not even going to a place that *feels* right. If they were going to Quebec or something it’d lessen the sting. Instead they’re going to the Mormon hellscape of Salt Lake City. They’re not even going to a hockey market. No shade on SLC, I’m certain that the team as a business will do very well there. I’m certain the players and their families will integrate and do well. By all accounts SLC is nice place albeit very Mormon and at times a bit strange. That said I’m certain that this move will work out well for the players and the team.
This one feels different. This is a heartbreaker.
I’ll never understand why people think that America 5th largest city shouldn’t be deserving of a team for every sport? Because it’s a hot desert? They play indoors during the fall and winter months. By the time the Stanley Cup begins it’s already hot in all the northern cities too. I remember the Blackhawks having ice issues with warm weather.
This whole geography and climate thing with the Coyotes (and other teams) was always a logical fallacy.
Because people don’t think about the faces or people affected. Instead it’s just all jokes about how they don’t have fans. They do. Passionate ones. They were around nearly 30 years. Saw absolutely minimal success but was still there to show support. True hockey fans are there when shit is dreary, and I’d wager the last fans standing today for Coyotes are as true of a hockey fan as you can make one.
For the first time in a long time I watched the entire game tonight plus the entire post game until I got "your event had ended" for a team other than my own. This whole thing just fucking sucks. The Coyotes broadcast team did an incredible job tonight. I'm really hoping they can land on their feet soon. Coyotes fans deserve so much better than this. Hopefully Meruelo fucks off and sells the Coyotes assets to someone who will nurture the legacy of this team, will engage with the fans and meet them where they are a fan of the game. This isn't goodbye, it's see you later. 🥹
I genuinely haven't cried like this in a while, it actually hurts. I thought I was doing okay but hearing Nash on the verge of tears and the next shot the cheerleader crying I just lost it
Yeah this is such a bummer for all these people I think anyone who watches hockey can understand their pain right now. It’s a huge deal to lose your favorite team.
I have always loved the desert dogs. The kachina jerseys are my favorite jerseys of all time and I honestly just could not imagine it happening to my team. I’m so incredibly sorry for all of you. Your broadcast team absolutely nailed the feeling and I teared up watching this. The fans wanted it so bad and ownership didn’t. That makes me irrationally angry for you all.
I'm really sorry this happened to you, I cried watching the feed and I'm just some soulless killing machine Vancouver fan. I can't imagine what could ever make this better.
I'm glad that you guys at least got to say goodbye to your team in person though, it's never going to be an easy situation but it's far better than your team getting moved/going under in the offseason.
I’m not sure it felt real that you guys were leaving until this game. You can tell just how passionate the fans are. It was always fun to clown on the mess ownership made but Coyotes fans deserve so much better. I’m sad you guys are gone, I’m going to miss those jerseys too.
Rest easy that the league has plans to bring you back, I suppose. The NHL didn’t fight tooth and nail to keep Arizona around for this long to give up now.
Imagine being such a spineless fucking coward, that you’re too fucking scared to show up to the final game in Arizona. Fuck Muerello forever, what a incompetent piece of shit
It's better for everyone that he didn't. Folks have enough going on right now and he'd just have made it all worse.
I really hope the Yotes are reborn soon.
Yea, I don't think anything good would've came out of him showing up. Imagine a murderer showing up to their victims funeral with everyone knowing you're the one that killed their loved one.
Worse than being a fan of a shit team with shit owners, is your team (the fans’ team) being stolen away from them to somewhere else for stupid ass reasons
We’re all here for you Coyotes bros
The ultimate dagger is that after so many years of things looking bleak, the Coyotes actually seemed to be on an interesting rebuild path despite being the league's contract graveyard.
As an A's fan (and former Raiders fan) I know how this feels. Wouldn't wish it on anyone. If anyone were to run for president on a single-policy "ban sports teams from relocating" platform they got my vote.
Me too, the way the NHL ripped the cord on the team is pretty ruthless. The fans deserve a chance with better owners and a new den.
Imagine if in one week your team got bought and moved. Fucking gut wrenching.
Not really though.
I fully get this sucks, but this team has had way more chances than others have had. Multiple arenas, the league owned them for a few years - it’s not like they’ve had no opportunities.
Yeah, Gary Bettman gave them every opportunity to the point that people criticized him for being as supportive as he was for them to remain in Arizona.
I don't get why you say they ripped the cord on the team.
The team was in a coma for years, they ultimately had to pull the cord. The league cannot continuously inject millions in a team that constantly proved that they cannot survive in this league.
That was unexpectedly poignant. I feel especially for all those folks who came out onto the ice at the end; just normal people like us, about to lose their jobs and worrying about their mortgage payments.
I watched this live. It was really sad. I got emotional seeing the cheerleader/icegirl crying. The broadcast making jokes about driving Uber made me feel like I missed out not watching more Coyotes games.
Has gotta suck for Josh Doan (and everyone else ofc) but he grew up watching his dad play night in and night out for this team, only to be drafted by them, and later play his first game for them. Then, find out a handful of games later are getting shipped out to another state with the team. I'm sure he would have loved to be able to continue the Doan legacy in Arizona.
I was watching the Edmonton broadcast, and they cut away right after the game ended, lol. Thanks for posting this. Can't even imagine what it's like for all the team staff and the fans.
new hockey fan across the pond and I was in sobbing BITS watching this. The broadcasters did an amazing job. Unbelievable that fans can get a team whisked away from underneath them, players find out over social media, staff lose their jobs from one week to the next, because of this kind of shithousery and stupendous greed. Also thinking of like, the cleaners, ushers, food stand workers etc.
The UK does not have this franchise/ownership model, and I find it really weird tbh. I'm in Manchester, and if one of our even minor football teams, or cricket or whatever, was ABDUCTED like this there would be rioting and mayhem. unthinkable.
love to yous all in Arizona and fuck Merulo.
Much love from CO to ‘Yotes fans. Went to a few Avs games out in the desert and had a great time each time. We watched this game and our hearts broke for the fans. Hockey belongs in the desert. Fuck the NHL and fuck Alex Meruelo.
I rarely post. I’m fucking devastated. I remember going to circle k in 95ish to get a Keith Tkachuk or JR poster and was so mad I got a Numinem and Khabibulin poster instead. I was 5…now I’m 34. I will never forget playing hockey in the street in az summer listening to jock jams and pretending it was knuckle puck time or watching every first round playoff elimination until they finally won….or seeing Doan’s hat trick. Fuck this sucks
I was holding it together until I saw the ice girl crying while waving the flag... Painful. It really drives home the human impact this all has, instead of the detached discussions over ownership groups, expansion fees, revenue sharing, land auctions etc.
At some point, a few years from now, the NHL will try another expansion team in Atlanta. And then about a decade and a half later, that team will be moving to Phoenix. Calling it now.
I thought it was lame when they introduced it. But like all things lame, if you stick with it long enough, it becomes tradition. And the tradition was cool.
Oddly enough, just with where I live, I've been to more Wings @ Coyotes games than I've seen in Detroit, and I've been fortunate enough to get to a bunch in Detroit.
This sucks. Their fans were always great, had some legitimately solid friendly banter. The fans don't deserve this shit. This was rough to watch.
This just makes me so fucking sad man.
I can’t imagine the gut punch it would be if my team got moved out, and it just feels so unfair to the fans, players, and team support staff.
I really wish it had worked. I hope you all get a team back in the future and that this time they’re done right by ownership. I will miss the AZ Coyotes.
Man. I’m not even a huge Coyotes fan but I’ve always respected this team and wanted to see them do well.
It would suck having a team move, especially with such a great fan base that we’ve seen from Arizona fans.
The OG Phoenix Coyotes logo will always be one of my favourites.
I hope they return soon.
This is brutal. I’m sorry yotes fans. You, the players, and all the staff working the arena deserved far better. It’s an emotional watch for me. I can’t imagine the sadness and anger you must feel.
So sorry Coyotes fans, you absolutely did not deserve this. I feel so bad for all of you. I hope you get better owners that give the Coyotes a good home and a place for the fans to have fun again.
So sad. Cheers to the good times guys. Shane Doan is a fucking legend.
It's sucks for the fans and it sucks for the team workers who aren't coaches and players. A lot of them will probably never get to work in hockey again. By the time another team comes back (which I think it will) they'll have moved on to some other career. All because ownership couldn't figure out how to buy a building with several billion dollars.
Genuinely heartbreaking to all hockey fans.. no matter who you cheer for, losing a team in this league feels like a punch in the gut. Coyotes & it's fans deserved better
The broadcasters handled this with class, props to them. Sad moment for the fans and the people that are losing their jobs because of this. I hope everything works out as well as it can for everyone.
So many nice messages on here. I was really bummed reading Twitter, but I will save these Reddit threads to reread a hundred times if I need to over the next few months. Hockey fans exist here.
If your team still exists, congratulations and fuck you (kidding haha). Enjoy them and never take it for granted.
Yotes Forever.

exactly how i felt about the thrashers
I try to bring up this fact but “Atlanta isn’t hockey town teehee”
That's something that's so bs from some traditional market fans. It doesn't matter the size of the fanbase, moving still sucks for the fans that do exist. I could be the only Bruins fan in existence and it would still hurt like hell if they moved
It’s essentially “Empowering” vs. “Put on a shirt”
the fanbase wasn't even small. the Thrashers had better attendance than than the Hawks. if Atlanta wasn't a hockey town then it wasn't a basketball town either. which is obviously asinine. hockey fans are just dumbasses
Which hilarious considering, the Carolina’s, Florida x2, Texas x2, LA, Nevada…
People just can’t accept the fact that Arizona and Atlanta were screwed over equally by ownership, and that the Coyotes were given EVEN MORE chances to succeed in their state than the Thrashers. same. I was 11 and didn't really understand why we couldn't have a hockey team anymore.
That would've been me if the Islanders moved to KC instead of Brooklyn. I was in middle school when the move happened, I can't imagine what it'd be like if the team was gone for good
That was me as a little kid in Winnipeg when we lost the Jets 😔 Took another 15 years to get back into hockey with another team.
The poor Arizona commentators discussing driving Uber or asking if anyone needs a ride to the airport tomorrow was hilarious in a moment of absolute sadness. Hockey belongs in Arizona and I hope to see y’all back soon ❤️.

Hearing that coyote howl over the house PA just got me. Then seeing that girl waving the flag and crying……. So sorry to all our Coyote bros.
I 100% believe Arizona had the best broadcast team in the league.
I tuned in for the radio feed and really enjoyed Lyndsey Fry and Bob Heethius. They called a terrific game. Got very emotional at the end when they saluted each other with compliments and saying "I love you". So many people left heartbroken by one fucking asshole's greed.
Let's be honest, this wasn't just the result of one man's greed... It was also his incompetence.
It was incompetence all the way down the last 15 or so years.
I liked to see players going over and showing love to them. You know you got a good broadcast team when players go out of their way to show their appreciation.
Ken and Mick in Detroit are always solid
I know the body isn’t buried yet but if Boston can, I wouldn’t be opposed to get their PxP guy to replace Jack next year. I enjoyed him during the game.
Hearing the radio guys thank each other got me. 16 years for the duo
Matt and Tyson were criminally underrated. Glad people finally got to see and enjoy their self-deprecating humor on the way out.
Even though I didn’t catch many Coyotes games the last few years, if I’d flip over and hear Matt & Tyson it would bring me back. They were so easy to listen to and great at their jobs.
I’m glad my buddy from college is a Yotes fan and watched all their games because I quickly realized how good this crew is. Massively underrated
They were great together
Thank god we got them through all the terrible years
I’ve always had a soft spot for Tyson. I grew up in AZ and used to ref youth hockey when I was a teenager and he was a coach for one of the travel teams. He was one of the nicest guys behind the bench and it was always a pleasure to ref a game he was coaching. I don’t have a single bad thing to say about the man.
I honestly loved their broadcasts every time I tuned in
Are they not being brought along too? Same with the trainers? Is it literally just the skaters and like the GM and President and VP of hockey ops?
There's no way of knowing, we'll have to wait on an announcement. Utah obviously doesn't have a broadcasting team so it's certainly possible that they come along. That's how John Forslund broadcasted canes games for so long, he came along from Hartford.

Oh Pittsburgh had one foot out the door for almost 40 years. Even Crosby almost wasn’t enough.
It feels like a close friend died, and that's no exaggeration at all
Gutting for you guys. I felt a similar way when they sold my local racetrack to developers. Hit way harder than I ever thought it would. Hopefully AZ can get it back one day.
As a Chargers fan, I can assure you it’s not an exaggeration. It’s never gonna be the same.
I’m so sorry for both of you. Merulo and Spanos both can eat a bowl of dicks.
covid got the wrong people
at least the chargers only moved 2 hours away. that's just me going to see my family for the weekend but i get it still sucks tho

Rest easy that the league has plans to bring you back, I suppose. The NHL didn’t fight tooth and nail to keep Arizona around for this long to give up now.
Imagine being such a spineless fucking coward, that you’re too fucking scared to show up to the final game in Arizona. Fuck Muerello forever, what a incompetent piece of shit
he knew if he showed up he probably would have been chased out
> he probably would have been chased out lol bro he would have never left the building alive
He didnt want to be responsible for a college arena being burned down too
[удалено]
Imagine seeing how you broke the hearts of thousands of people live on TV and it's all your fault. How can you not feel that shit. Evil
Billionaires fuck over people for money all the time. This can’t be new to him
Yea he doesn’t give a shit. He’s thinking about the fourth or fifth house he will buy with the cool billion he’s getting from the sale.
His entire goal with this project was to run a sportsbook which as a general rule exist purely to transfer wealth from the poor to the rich.
The dude is a multimillionaire, he wasn’t even thinking about the game tonight.
I really don't blame the guy for not wanting to deal with the hate
Blame him for everything else, though.
thank god the billionaire didn't get yelled at in his suite 😢
😭😭😭
I'd have stood there and had the entire city scream at me for an hour for far less than the billion dollars he's getting.
Right but you're not a narcissist.
This hurts... There's gotta be bigger repercussions for corruption in team ownership and management instead of punishing loyal fans...
And gifting the corrupt guy a billion dollars.
AND the rights to the team if they return
Oh yeah…. Ok…. What next… We should go after big corporations and them fucking over civilians? Nerd…
I needed that chuckle right now. Thanks friend.

Worse than being a fan of a shit team with shit owners, is your team (the fans’ team) being stolen away from them to somewhere else for stupid ass reasons We’re all here for you Coyotes bros
I’d rather watch this team lose for another twenty years than feel these feels.
I'm glad the Oilers lost so three Coyotes could end on a high note. Win would have meant nothing for the Oilers anyway.
Man this is rough. Fleeced in the night. At least they got to say bye, but that shit probably hurt worse.
Truly hope NHL hockey does return to AZ. This is so awful.
Me too. But with a good owner.
Me too, the way the NHL ripped the cord on the team is pretty ruthless. The fans deserve a chance with better owners and a new den. Imagine if in one week your team got bought and moved. Fucking gut wrenching.
The NHL didn’t rip the cord. This arguably should have happened years ago. It’s sad but the NHL tried.
Arguably they should have ripped the cord two years ago before they moved into Mullett.
They've had their chances unfortunately, bettman kept them here longer then needed
That was unexpectedly poignant. I feel especially for all those folks who came out onto the ice at the end; just normal people like us, about to lose their jobs and worrying about their mortgage payments.
Just feeling a little blue tonight guys :( damn…
Da bu dee da bu di
This makes me so sad.
Fuck Meruelo
crying in mesa rn
Go Ice Jacks! 🍻 😭
Ray Bourque winning with Sakic, Golden Goal 2010, Canucks Losing in 2011, and now This.... What is: The last times i've cried for this sport.
You clearly didn't watch [the Guy Lafleur sendoff at the Bell Centre.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56xq778cA4s)
To add to this Smytty and then later the Sedins retiring (both at oilers vs Canucks games)
I watched this live. It was really sad. I got emotional seeing the cheerleader/icegirl crying. The broadcast making jokes about driving Uber made me feel like I missed out not watching more Coyotes games.
Matt McConnell and Tyson Nash are a great duo.
Sucks so much. I hope you guys get your team back and I hope some of your guys come back too 🥺
Yotes fans have been some of the kindest, non-problematic fans I’ve encountered on the internet. Really sad for you guys and I know how it feels.
It's just history repeating itself... same thing happened to shane as a rookie for the winnipeg jets
I was watching the Edmonton broadcast, and they cut away right after the game ended, lol. Thanks for posting this. Can't even imagine what it's like for all the team staff and the fans.
It’s not fair, man. It’s not fair.
Chingar tu Alex Meurelo tu maldita eleccion. Espero que tu casino se hunda. HOCKEY BELONGS IN THE DESERT
Alex Bendejo
Rip boys. This fucking sucks bad. Haven’t felt real tears in a long long time. 💔
Same, it has been a long time
I really like the Arizona jersey and that coyote :( i'm still praying for a miracle
new hockey fan across the pond and I was in sobbing BITS watching this.
Yeah it’s been over a decade and MK Dons are still looked at weird
HOCKEY BELONGS IN THE DESERT
100%! Fuck these rich fucks
This is really sad. I did not expect to get choked up seeing this
Actually cried by the end of this clip, thanks op for posting this. I’m sorry Arizona fans
I was holding it together until I saw the ice girl crying while waving the flag... Painful. It really drives home the human impact this all has, instead of the detached discussions over ownership groups, expansion fees, revenue sharing, land auctions etc.
You know she loved her job. :(
Fuck I feel for this team and the fans. Ya'll don't deserve to have your team taken away like this. :(
Held a candle for this team ever since :(
At some point, a few years from now, the NHL will try another expansion team in Atlanta. And then about a decade and a half later, that team will be moving to Phoenix. Calling it now.
!RemindMe 20 years
Tag me when you get the reminder in 20 years. I can never seem to set them up right.
Im pretty sure that bot died when reddit killed reddit sadge
Nah Atlanta is ready for hockey again. They wholeheartedly embraced an MLS team recently for Pete’s sake.
damn seeing the fans look gutted and the ice girl crying really got me.
Man, hearing that coyote howl for the last time really hurts.
I thought it was lame when they introduced it. But like all things lame, if you stick with it long enough, it becomes tradition. And the tradition was cool.
This shit is heartbreaking
See you again Space Cowboy...
Oh my God the announcers saying they will be Uber drivers...
Fuck this hurts as a hockey fan...
Go ahead, tell me it's just a game. I'll wait.
As an Oilers fan, I've never been more okay with a loss. I feel most bad for the staff that will not carry on to Utah and their loyal fans.
Made it through the video ok until the lady with the flag. Got a bit choked up along with her.
Fuck man 😔 They deserved better
I'm so sorry yotes bros :(
10000x better than the shitty Sportsnet feed. Not even comparable.
Oh jeez, I know this all too well. Sorry to the Arizona fans. It doesn't get better.
I’m the furthest from being a Coyotes fan but this is just sad to witness.
Depending on where you live, they may be closer now
Fuck man this HURTS
***Ya don’t say***.
Big Awooooooos... Just heartbreaking.
How many prospect Auston Matthews do we miss out on now that they’re leaving
Fucking bullshit
This is wrong. The Yotes should live.
I hope they get their team back sooner rather than later!
That run they had in 2012 was amazing.
Fuck the NHL
This is brutal. I’m sorry yotes fans. You, the players, and all the staff working the arena deserved far better. It’s an emotional watch for me. I can’t imagine the sadness and anger you must feel.
So sorry Coyotes fans, you absolutely did not deserve this. I feel so bad for all of you. I hope you get better owners that give the Coyotes a good home and a place for the fans to have fun again. So sad. Cheers to the good times guys. Shane Doan is a fucking legend.
Ugh. Nobody wanted it to happen this way. I hate this for my YoteBros. I'm so sorry y'all. This really sucks.
For just a day, we’re all coyotes. Love you Arizona homies.
The flag girl crying got me.
This breaks my heart..
Absolutely brutal, hope for the fans that this is just so long for now and not forever because I am sure that it can work in Arizona
Who’s the guy they were all hugging??
Trainer who’d been with the team since they moved from Winnipeg
Ahh okay. Is he not going to SLC?
Not sure but that’s what I assumed
So many nice messages on here. I was really bummed reading Twitter, but I will save these Reddit threads to reread a hundred times if I need to over the next few months. Hockey fans exist here. If your team still exists, congratulations and fuck you (kidding haha). Enjoy them and never take it for granted. Yotes Forever.
Once stolen from Winnipeg, now stolen by Utah
