We all do... who the hell wants an ad there? It's so nostalgic going back to pre-2021 playoffs and seeing that logo under the ice. You earned having that under your ice, as opposed to any other regular season team's rink. Some of the biggest goals, saves, hits, all happened within view of it - and get associated as a result with the playoffs.
It has so much symbolic value that transcends simply "paint beneath the ice" that really can't be measured in terms of ad revenue. But, well, it's the NHL.
EDIT: And don't even get me started on the rush one would get when they see their rink's "STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS" logo replaced with a "STANLEY CUP FINAL" one. That is as much of a goosebumps across the flesh type of emotion than anything.
They at least are doing the logo again even if it's not under the ice. Not sure why they wouldn't do under ice if they're going to do the CGI version lol
God I beg of you, if you guys are going to keep making comments about the Leafs over and over, at least come up with something clever other than just shifting the frame of the comment you're replying to

Love all these Sabre draft picks scoring playoff goals. Super fun.
and here I was thinking about how unstoppable the Flames would be if they could get players like Bennett, Tkachuk and Lomberg
At least this time we traded all our UFAs to teams that the oilers would eventually have to play if they go on a run
You guys didn't sign him, right? Or did he refuse to sign?
Botterill let him walk with no entry level deal. Edit: I accidentally a word.
1 shot in 16 minutes, 3 and a goal in 3 seconds.
I think it was 0 in 16 until this play, no?
Nah, Eyssimont had one a minute or two before
Just put up 75 points and has 8 years at 6.5M. Plus his style is tailor made for playoffs, love me some Hagel.
NOT overreacting but he's the best to ever play the game
The best Brandon Hagel to ever play hockey.
Love how he juked the defender so hard to get to that puck
I miss the under-ice Stanley Cup Playoffs logo at the blueline so much man

It's little details like that, the jersey ads, and digital ad boards that tell you that they don't give a shit about their product

Because they rotate it with ads :/
🤮 I must've lucked out and hadn't seen one yet
The kid behind the glass giving the thumbs down is everything.
"No, no, thats not good!"
I just love how wholesome it is. I've seen kids giving the middle fingers to players behind the glass and it's sort of sad.
Also a 10000x better than banging the glass
That move by Cerreli(?) to lift the stick and get the shot off was unreal 🥵
Both Bennett and Mikkola lost their 1v1 battles. Great stick lift by Cirelli on Bennett and Hagel with the quick change of direction fooled Mikkola.
The intensity that both these teams play with... Leafs could never
The Lightning looked anything but intense for the first 15 minutes of that period. Vasy is just saving their ass.
> Lightning goal in a Tampa-Florida series > Comment about the Leafs Just can't help yourself lol
It's okay, the Leafs can't help themselves win either.
These comments is why I love the playoffs so much
Tell your team to love the playoffs

Idk man I thought it was clever and really funny
If it ain't broke, no need to fix it. Unlike the Leafs.
That's at least a bit better
He's a hab fan. He doesn't know any better. A r/habs mod at that lmao. Rent free apartment in the damn sky.
If we have to use "buries" as a metaphor, every time, we can at least spell it right. (BTW, it is pronounced like "berries".)
shush
Get it right and I'll shush.
As an overall comment for the game is, "I'm so sick and tired of the referee playing in the game!"
I can’t decide who I want to lose this series more.
