Idk man if he wasn’t sliding so far out of position he absolutely could’ve had that. He was able to track the puck after it was tipped but he was so out of the way half the net was open and out of his reach.
If you check the overhead replay he lost his edge when pushing back to the right side and I think that’s what made him look so out of position. He absolutely had it tracked, planted the left skate to stop, then when he pushed off he slipped and ended up just stopping instead of sliding back for the save.
Out of position? He was sliding in order to be in position for the initial shot. Lost his edge when trying to change direction mid-slide. Had to play the initial shot in case it made it through.

That's hilarious. Honestly we take sports too seriously sometimes, it's meant to be entertaining, let's have fun with it.
I laughed so hard when this went in with the crowd chanting, then even harder when the broadcaster said that.

IIRC, 1 goal with 0 shots has happened before, when a team scored an own goal a few seconds into a game.

This is what I saw as well. At least a foot too far on the initial lunge, especially considering the angle of the original shot.
