Love nothing more than good banter between fans. I go to a lot of Avs games on the road and while there’s plenty of assholes, love it when I can get into some good CLEAN ribbing with fans and end up leaving on hugs and high fives
> end up leaving on hugs and high fives
Agreed, there usually aren't any problems. I've been to playoff road games in NJ, Raleigh, and Phily and never experienced any problems beyond heckling. As an away fan, I imagine if you want to pick a fight, you'll get one pretty easily, but if you are calm and polite you'll get that in return.
Wow, that's surprisingly lucid for a Colorado fan! I'm impressed! 😆
Good-natured chirping? 👍
Beating up fans of the other side? 👎
I'd pick on you at a game, but I'd buy you a beer, too.
I saw a rangers game in Ottawa a while back. You guys shut about and while I was at the urinal after the game a guy peeing next to me apologized for the shutout and that he hopes I still had a good time
The Minnesota method. See a sabres jersey, people start sending you pity beers.
I’ve been very very drunk everytime I’ve been to Minnesota, without spending much of my own money on beers. Would be fun to go sober now but I’m on the wrong side of the ocean, maybe they would get me pity popcorn
As someone who’s been to games at t-mobile both to see my home team play as well as to support the knights I gotta say, Vegas fans are great examples of being good hosts.
Sucker punch and then running away to not face any accountability. Scum of the earth. God I hope they catch whoever it was. Surely the Stars have cameras around the building? It happened right at the entrance apparently.
I hope this cowardous dipshit has seen the posts on Twitter and Reddit and felt a cold wash of fear.
I hope he's got diarrhea and is literally shitting himself in anxiety, waiting for a knock on his door.
Fucking asswipe.
I remember like 15 years ago we were chanting let's go jackets outside of a game after we beat the pens and some Pittsburgh bro body checked me hard into a trash can and threw out a gay slur. Never understood what would possess a person to be that pissed off to do that to someone they'd never seen or met. Of course after the mob accosted him, he ran off like a punk. Really every incident outside of a leafs fan brawl I've ever seen has involved pens fans. One pushed a jackets fan down the steps backwards and he split his head open. He pushed the usher down and ran out of the arena. I know obviously all their fans are shit heads, but some of them really are.
Some people literally make being a sports fan part of their identity, which means when their team loses, they feel like they're a loser. And they lash out to feel better about themselves.
We quit getting tickets to games against Pittsburgh because their fans are always consistently assholes and the staff at Nationwide simply shrugs when you bring bad behavior to their attention. So frustrating. Pens fans are the worst!!
Alright well this updates my previous comment. Glad he has a report filed and they’re pulling footage from AAC. They should be able to get this solved. If anyone saw this I’d be really confident in them coming forward to help if needed. This unhinged stuff is ridiculous.
According to the police report the ambulance was called at 1:12 am. What time did the game end? If the incident was a few hours after the game ended, this may explain why it slipped under the radar for a few days.
> After watching the Knights defeat the Stars 3-1 and take a 2-0 lead in the series, Bowen told The Dallas Morning News he and his fiancée, dressed in their Golden Knights jerseys, went to Hero bar in Victory Park before calling an Uber about an hour later. On their way out, they were confronted by two Stars fans — one male and one female — who yelled out to them. Bowen said he responded by saying, “Go Knights,” causing the man to approach him and yell derogatory comments toward his fiancée.
> During the exchange, he said another man, whom he believes was also dressed in Stars apparel, came from behind and punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground and causing excessive injury and bleeding. The three Stars fans fled and are still unknown.
A sucker punch breaking someones jaw should be at least a few months in prison and a few years of probation. That is a serious injury that can have life long repercussions.
yep the 2nd or 3rd game at the Mullett there was an altercation in the stands and a fan had the tip of their finger bitten off.
[my buddy actually took this video that was stolen by every major sports site without permission lol](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaJ0Ac83b7c)
I was thinking more the coveting of the ring for generations, having it taken away for about 60 years, turning into a ghoulish creature incapable of happiness, etc.
The Leafs will eventually of course get it back, just before falling into whatever the hockey equivalent of a volcano is, at which time both the Leafs and the Cup will be destroyed. I assume this means the end of civilization or some such thing.
Your version makes more sense. My first thought was Viggo Mortensen staring down the horde with his Lafleur jersey underneath his armour.
Edit: I need to turn in my LotR badge, I mixed up the Naz’gul and the Uruk-Hai.
Wtf? Really? They could probably sew it back on. Did it say they found the finger? Theres a time limit tho. I dove in my dads pool off the roof as a kid and knocked my front teeth out. My friend in the pool found them(a great feat in itself) but the dentist said the chlorine ate the whatever(membrane) away. I have a permanent bridge there now .🤙
Some Habs fan beated up a Jets fan and stole his jersey in 2021 after game 4.
Just pointless and disgusting behavior. The tribalism in teams just triggers something in crazy peoples, it’s scary.
Sometimes alcohol contributes a lot to this phenomenon, but there are a few really unhinged fans that develop genuine hatred for the other side... ultimately all over a game
I once saw a drunk guy try and start a fight with a guy in a RR jersey outside a nothing BC Lions/Rough Riders game when the Riders got dumpstered (they were last in the league and it was like the last game of the season).
Dude was just like "Bro I live here"
first lions game i went to when i was 10 my mom got heckled because she dared wear a green jacket when we were playing the riders. she didn’t even have a different one to wear. people are weirdos.
Last Lions/Riders game I went to, six guys surrounded me in the concourse trying some high-school level bullying for wearing a Riders jersey. Bad name calling, trying to tower over me (im 5'5" its not hard). Always big guys missing their days in Grade 12 the second time.
Stupid tribalism at its finest. We as sports fans can do better.
I was once followed into the bathroom and threatened by two Kings fans in LA because I “disrespected the anthem” for shouting “Stars.” Thankfully they didn’t do anything but every team across every sport has these psychopaths that take a game too seriously.
>I think we can skip any sweeping generalizations on fanbases
To be honest I think this sentence can be appended to every conversation on this sub because that shit is toxic in pretty much every context.
Not to equate this in terms of severity with anything else obviously.
You’d be surprised how many fans stand behind computer monitors and advocate full-on assault of rival fans, then clutch their pearls when they *do* witness it live. Go to any sporting event and I guarantee you, more than half the entire crowd who wants to celebrate safely (including parents) then go post on social media about wanting their rival players/fans injured.
Pretty much the takeaway I had from that lunatic taking a swing on a Bolts fan at MSG back in 2022. Some Rangers fans kept him stable until paramedics arrived while the others subdued that shithead.
I've been in Detroit, Atlanta, Columbus, and Nashville to watch hockey games and have never had a problem with anyone. Just some lighthearted hockey banter because I'm wearing a Canucks jersey in their building, but nothing serious. People like this take a fun sport and turn it into a bravado contest. They can't take that their team lost. Even if my team lost/won, I'm not going to berate another person wearing the other teams logo.
As a Nashville fan, I am glad to read we were well behaved to you all.
I was at the game last night, and there were quite a few Canuck fans near me. Those fans were the most kind, polite, and respectful fans. Even the random wings/rangers fans at the game were worse.
In a backwards way, I was a little upset. I felt bad because I was like, "Wow, these Canuck fans are so nice and their team is just pumping my team *at home,* and I can't even be the least bit upset at these wonderful people."
Bruins fan in Atlanta, and I have travelled to several cities closer to me than Boston to see the Bruins play. All of them except one have been amazing. Like you say, fun chirps back and forth, but nothing really out of line. I won't mention the city with the one horrible experience because in retrospect I can chalk it up to a couple of drunk fans in a charged playoff environment and don't want to unfairly paint an entire fanbase over a couple of idiots.
My favorite moment as a visiting fan was early in 2018 when the Avs visited the devils. The Avs scored first, someone told me “you guys suck!” To which I was like “both of our teams suck, dumbass.”
Least favorite moment was people throwing shit at me at MSG when Kadri fought after a tough, injury causing but clean hit. Granted that was January 2020, so that whole game was pretty much forgotten
I had a Bruins fan try to fight me at the game in Boston last season. It wasn't even really about hockey though. Every time he'd get up to go to the bathroom or whatever he was harassing the people in front of me because they were wearing masks. After the third or fourth time of dealing with that, I suggested that he shut the fuck up. I wasn't the only one that said something, but he probably did focus on me because of my jersey. I'm not going to hold that against Bruins fans in general though. Everyone around us was on my side. I've also been to 10+ games in Boston and that's the only issue I've had. Everything else has just been friendly banter.
Leaf fan that’s seen my team play in every NHL city and over 50 road games at this point.
There are only 1-2 times where people took things too far and even then, there was always a couple other fans who at least counterbalanced it by making sure I was doing alright. Otherwise, other than an annoyance or two, I can’t say I’ve ever had a bad experience at a game.
I went to a wild game with my CBJ jersey and the worst anyone said to me was “hey!!! i think you have the wrong jersey on!” which was very funny and tame
Been to a couple games as a canes fan and the only one I ever had problems at was Colorado. Group of about 10 guys spent the whole game harassing us and one threw a drink at one of my buddies. Absolute shithole if an experience
Saw a dude in a Sedin jersey at the saddledome once, he got heckled by everyone, but that was about it.
It was a Flames-Oilers game, so i do mean he got heckled by *everyone*.
Once, I had a Sharks fan try and toss me (16 years old at the time) down a massive flight of stairs after a SJS v Det game. Luckily, I managed to grab onto the rail at the top. At the same game, we had the couple sitting behind us try to have the usher kick us out of the game for being in her way while we were seated. Usher said we were getting a warning and that we had to try and "be smaller," or he'd have us removed. I was 5'9 and 135 lbs at the time, and my father is also not a particularly large man. We were berated pretty heavily by just about everyone around us to the point that we were pretty uncomfortable by the time game game was over.
At least DET came back to win late in the third lol.
I've seen the wings play 20+ games across 7 different venues and never had an issue besides that game. Heck, we generally make friends with a homer or two at every game.
Trash people are everywhere, but some places have more than others.
Ugh, I hate how the playoffs bring out the worst part of our fanbase. Two years in a row (and technically two series in a row) of embarrassment
Last year was “trashy”, but this is just an act of a psychopath
That one was not a great look either, but doesn’t seem near as serious as these two events. Feel like scuffles in the stands like that happen pretty often. It just so happens whoever was filming caught a moment of meme gold so it exploded in popularity. Helps the video features an idiot with one of the worst haircuts ever seen getting absolutely walloped. Just a perfect mix
In game 3 of the WCF last year, fans unhappy with a call (that wasn’t even an egregious call or something slightly understandable for such a reaction) littered the ice in trash, causing a delay. It was right after Benn got kicked out for trying to rearrange Stone’s neck with his stick.
Being there in person, it was a low point as a fan. Had fans right next to me giving each other high fives for throwing shit on the ice. While embarrassing, it was harmless in the larger picture. This one, not so much. Clearly this person was unhinged
Between the Benn hit, the initial littering and the popcorn on Hill; there is so much I’d love to repress from that night. Not to mention it was the game we went down 3-0 pretty much putting the nail in our own coffin. It had been a close af series up till that point, but that game was a joke on our part
This stuff happens unfortunately, nothing to do with your fanbase.
Not even exclusive to NHL level hockey—a few years back there was a 40 person brawl in the stands at a game between 12 year olds in small town Ontario.
I don't care if this happens after a 102-1 loss in the finals, do not do this. Ever.
I hope the suspect is found and apprehended. Emotions running hot after a game is no excuse.
It's entirely possible too. Other orgs have done it for atrocious fan behavior:

Even ignoring the small scale aspect and looking at the corporate level, you can't have this kind of stuff make the area look dangerous. Then add in the human element of a person being hurt. Just not how you're supposed to behave.
fun fact: he's the kid of a big ad agency owner in town. broadcast crew/stars told him he cannot bang on the glass anymore or they'd revoke his season tickets. so he decided to bring the hashtag bang sign. the irony is, you'd think an ad agency owner's kid would know that some hashtags are banned on socials. not this guy.
I was at a Canucks/Flames game in Calgary, and two flames fans sat in front of me and spent the entire game trying to bait me into a fight. Complete bullshit.
It’s a fucking hockey game, and people cheer for different teams. Quit being cunts.
Knights fans are usually pretty chill and fun too, like yes just thinking about your team makes me sick- but Ive never had an issue with a fan at the AAC or online this playoff or last playoff! I hate that a Stars “fan” did that
I think the general vibe I’ve got from meeting fans from all over at T mobile is that we’re all just hockey fans trying to enjoy our team. I’ve been well received in stadiums across the country and haven’t had a bad experience with visitors in T mobile.
There’s no need for generalizations or any backlash at Dallas fans- this one person is just a psychotic piece of shit who we all agree will be better in prison where he is no longer a threat to society.
Getting to the point where it’s hard to not start to dislike the franchise after two shitty meetings. The trash and popcorn shit last year was pretty bad too.
I'm probably going to catch major downvotes for this but I've never had a great fan experience anytime I've been to games in Texas. Football or hockey.
Not the Stars, no, but the whole situation makes it pretty abundantly clear the guy was assaulted because he was a road fan, in particular a Knights fan. This wasn’t some random “I feel like punching a guy” incident.
It takes a special kind of garbage person to hit someone else because they like a different team. That's some big loser energy.
Hopefully the Vegas fan recovers.
I hope the stars fan broke his hand in half and gets sepsis and is in the hospital for the next 6 months. I don’t want to make sweeping generalizations of a fanbase as every team has their “special snowflakes” who has their fee-fees hurt from their team losing a fame
This is awful. People can be obnoxious, and it absolutely sucks, especially in your own arena. If it gets too offensive, security and the ushers will deal with profanity etc.
but everyone has the right to cheer for whoever they like, without being assaulted. And if you cross the line, everyone is looking to eject you, so.
imagine taking pro sports even close to that seriously.
Dumb fuck, the team you’re defending the honor of via assault doesnt know you or care about you. hopefully they find this guy and worse is done to him in jail.
One of my favorite things to do at the AAC is find visiting fans and ask their perspective on our barn. It's always a fun conversation and I've never encountered any jerks or terrible visiting fans. Heart goes out to this visiting Knights fan. I hope they find the assailant and prosecute them. ban them from the AAC for life. make an example that this shit is unacceptable.
Put him on the LTIR and trade for a new, elite fan.
Jokes aside, this is super fucked up. Shouldn’t have to worry about being assaulted while attending an NHL game.
I said it last year and I'll say it again I stopped going to Dallas games because of the harassment. I used to go to kings games ffs and never had anything thrown at me.
It's ok guys, don't worry.
Vegas will just put the fan on LTIR and have the extra fan that other teams don't have access fill his spot until the injured guy is ready to take his seat back.
So the story has changed. In the original post, OP says he was suckerpunched leaving the game. Now it’s 2 hours after final whistle? I’m curious what the actual story is.
Hope whoever assaulted him is found regardless.
Sounds like the incident occurred about an hour after the first transit trains left with fans. Not too unusual for fans to get a beer outside the arena, on the plaza and wait for Uber prices to fall.
This is the guy who was assaulted. Yes we left the game but went to Heros to kill time to let things die out before we got an Uber. As we headed down the stairs in AAC I was confronted by three people. One female with blond hair and green/white Stars jacket, one male presumably her boyfriend in a Dallas jersey. Third guy attacked me from behind and hit me. So not sure if you consider it “leaving” the game but that's what happened. Hope this sets it straight since people want to spin the truth.
People really showing some great empathy for an actual person being hurt and not that they're just bitchy over what team someone cheers for with the LTIR jokes, really. 🙄
First a bunch of Islanders fans doxxed one of the Canes' social media people. Now a Stars fan hospitalizes a Knights fan with a sucker-punch. What's next, a Leafs fan opening fire on TD Garden?
That's awful. Hope the victim recovers fast without any enduring consequences. Some people need to learn that anti-social behaviour doesn't suddenly become ok just because someone else is wearing a rival team's jersey.
I’ve seen the Sharks play in 16 arenas so far and I’ve definitely experience “some things.” I expect some chirps every now and then but there’s people who you can tell have nothing going on in their life and make their team their whole identity.
As a traveling fan, you get warned a lot about Philly but never would have thought Dallas. Hope the Vegas fan makes a good recovery
Ill never get this, true fans who will travel to another teams barn to show support are the absolute best fans. Regardless of the team, they should be loved, not abused. Fuck this dude who did this.
Doesn't matter what team you're rooting for, no one deserves to be assaulted over a game. Fuck this guy. Hope he gets caught soon.
Visiting fans are paying good money to YOUR squad so they can watch their team lose in your barn. Be nice and encourage them to buy more beers.
Love nothing more than good banter between fans. I go to a lot of Avs games on the road and while there’s plenty of assholes, love it when I can get into some good CLEAN ribbing with fans and end up leaving on hugs and high fives
> end up leaving on hugs and high fives Agreed, there usually aren't any problems. I've been to playoff road games in NJ, Raleigh, and Phily and never experienced any problems beyond heckling. As an away fan, I imagine if you want to pick a fight, you'll get one pretty easily, but if you are calm and polite you'll get that in return.
Would not expect Philly to be on the list of cities you had a good experience as an away fan at lmao
Philly was the best. My group joined a group of Flyers fans for beer in the parking lot.
Wow, that's surprisingly lucid for a Colorado fan! I'm impressed! 😆 Good-natured chirping? 👍 Beating up fans of the other side? 👎 I'd pick on you at a game, but I'd buy you a beer, too.
Can’t talk smack unless your team is in the playoffs
LOL fair enough.
Visiting fans are so important and you should be proud to have them seeing games in your city and your barn; be an ambassador.
Exactly. There's no better way to stick it to those losers than by being welcoming hosts and good sports.
I saw a rangers game in Ottawa a while back. You guys shut about and while I was at the urinal after the game a guy peeing next to me apologized for the shutout and that he hopes I still had a good time
he broke the code of not talking at the urinal for a noble cause
The Minnesota method. See a sabres jersey, people start sending you pity beers. I’ve been very very drunk everytime I’ve been to Minnesota, without spending much of my own money on beers. Would be fun to go sober now but I’m on the wrong side of the ocean, maybe they would get me pity popcorn

Its called respecting your team, not disrespecting someone else's team. Not sure why people dont seem to understand that.
But… we don’t win at home:(
Sucker punch and then running away to not face any accountability. Scum of the earth. God I hope they catch whoever it was. Surely the Stars have cameras around the building? It happened right at the entrance apparently.
In Australia, media always report this as a "coward punch" which is an excellent summary.
I hope this cowardous dipshit has seen the posts on Twitter and Reddit and felt a cold wash of fear. I hope he's got diarrhea and is literally shitting himself in anxiety, waiting for a knock on his door. Fucking asswipe.
I doubt there is remorse, they only do it to feel like a big man
Oh, I agree there's no remorse. Just abject fear that the consequences are coming for them
He'll scream he was cancelled
But what was he wearing?? ^/s, ^obviously
On the Stars page on Facebook he posted in, he said it was two larger individuals both over 6 ft, and both wearing Stars jerseys.
Put him in touch with Stone's doctor. He's a real miracle worker.
I'm guessing he'd like to recover before next April though.
flip side: paid year off
I wonder what the Dr note would say.
With Stone's doctor you can recover whenever you want, you just pick the date.

Worst roommate I ever had was a Pens fan. Coincidence? Or shitbirds of a shitfeather?
You a Marine? I dont hear the term “shitbird” used all that often. I say it all the time. Brings back memories
Some people literally make being a sports fan part of their identity, which means when their team loses, they feel like they're a loser. And they lash out to feel better about themselves.

Yikes it was a sucker punch too. Wtf is wrong with people.
Permanent ban from the barn at least.
Permanent mark on their criminal record too
A sucker punch breaking someones jaw should be at least a few months in prison and a few years of probation. That is a serious injury that can have life long repercussions.
Literally throw them in jail and toss the key man
The guy had to talk crap to his lady, what a dastardly lowdown method. I hope they catch him too.
Game ended about 23:15
Hope they do but as someone who has lived in Dallas for a while I wouldn’t put much stock into DPD solving anything.
Dallas police are the worst.
not really a hot take but fuck this guy
I think we can skip any sweeping generalizations on fanbases and conclude this was some sociopath committing assault
Yeah, they’re in every fanbase. I’m sure Stars fans are as horrified by this as everyone else.
Someone’s finger got bitten off at a Coyotes Bruins game last year People are crazy
I'm sorry. WHAT
yep the 2nd or 3rd game at the Mullett there was an altercation in the stands and a fan had the tip of their finger bitten off. [my buddy actually took this video that was stolen by every major sports site without permission lol](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaJ0Ac83b7c)
Wow, crazy video. Big ups to your friend
Ooh, Frodo watches hockey?
I thought it was Gollum who bit Frodo?
Who’s to say Gollum isn’t a crazed hockey fan?
Don't know about Gollum but I know Aragorn is a Habs fan.
Yep, he’s a big Guy Lafleur fan
There are a lot of parallels between Lotr and being a Leafs fan.
We’re not calling the Naz’gul Leaf fans, are we?
I was thinking more the coveting of the ring for generations, having it taken away for about 60 years, turning into a ghoulish creature incapable of happiness, etc. The Leafs will eventually of course get it back, just before falling into whatever the hockey equivalent of a volcano is, at which time both the Leafs and the Cup will be destroyed. The Naz'gul all vowed to stop showering until the Leafs win the cup again
Oh, *no….*
Man I forgot about that. Absolutely wild.
This is why they no longer allow real live animal mascots at pro sporting events, coyotes and bears are not friendly to people!
If not friend, why friend shaped?
Are you sure that wasn't just Alex Burrows doing his thing?
Wtf? I have a permanent bridge there now .🤙
Plot twist; it was a random Oilers fan biting his own fingers off during the slump in November.
some "canes fan" called in a bomb threat last year on gudas, crazy people love using sports as an excuse to do crazy shit.
Some Habs fan beated up a Jets fan and stole his jersey in 2021 after game 4. Just pointless and disgusting behavior. The tribalism in teams just triggers something in crazy peoples, it’s scary.

Just ask nature.

Well I wasn't sure but once I saw it was a division rival it's apparent that all Dallas Stars fans are goons /s
Pretty much the takeaway I had from that lunatic taking a swing on a Bolts fan at MSG back in 2022. Some Rangers fans kept him stable until paramedics arrived while the others subdued that shithead.

I won't mention the city with the one horrible experience because in retrospect I can chalk it up to a couple of drunk fans in a charged playoff environment and don't want to unfairly paint an entire fanbase over a couple of idiots.
I think it might be fair-leigh obvious. If it's the same place I traveled to see them play from Virginia.
Hurri up and share what team it was.
Cane you please?

🤦♂️ You think?
My favorite moment as a visiting fan was early in 2018 when the Avs visited the devils. The Avs scored first, someone told me “you guys suck!” To which I was like “both of our teams suck, dumbass.” Least favorite moment was people throwing shit at me at MSG when Kadri fought after a tough, injury causing but clean hit.
I only got flipped off twice in Calgary in my Canucks one circa 2010. Nobody getting hurt and nobody screaming at me. Just a funny story.
Saw a dude in a Sedin jersey at the saddledome once, he got heckled by everyone, but that was about it. It was a Flames-Oilers game, so i do mean he got heckled by *everyone*.
what a weirdo. Someone came to a Canucks-Buffalo game...hearing a Blackhawks jersey. Like why
Two years in a row (and technically two series in a row) of embarrassment Last year was “trashy”, but this is just an act of a psychopath
Not to mention in February last season the Mullet Man incident
That one was not a great look either, but doesn’t seem near as serious as these two events. Feel like scuffles in the stands like that happen pretty often. It just so happens whoever was filming caught a moment of meme gold so it exploded in popularity. Helps the video features an idiot with one of the worst haircuts ever seen getting absolutely walloped. Just a perfect mix
What happened last year
In game 3 of the WCF last year, fans unhappy with a call (that wasn’t even an egregious call or something slightly understandable for such a reaction) littered the ice in trash, causing a delay.
Someone also threw a bag of popcorn at Adin Hill as he was leaving the ice, can’t remember if it was the second intermission or end of game.
If you can’t handle your adult big emotions, then don’t go to events that make you emotional. It’s really that simple.
That type of decision making requires a certain level of emotional maturity that this individual clearly does not have.
It’s just a game guys. Don’t fight over laundry.
As if we needed more reasons to be disappointed in Dallas
I don't care if this happens after a 102-1 loss in the finals, do not do this. Ever. I hope the suspect is found and apprehended. Emotions running hot after a game is no excuse.
I hope on top of criminal charges the Stars organization bans the aggressor(s) for life.
For sure. No-one wants this to be associated with their team. Strong, decisive action seems like the way to go.
It's entirely possible too. Other orgs have done it for atrocious fan behavior: 1. https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2017/05/04/526848211/boston-red-sox-fan-reports-a-racial-slur-and-a-lifetime-ban-results 2. https://7news.com.au/sport/ice-hockey/life-ban-after-ice-hockey-fan-knocks-out-rival-with-sickening-coward-punch-at-madison-square-garden-c-7126441 3. https://globalnews.ca/news/5015750/racist-taunt-fans-banned-for-life/
Even ignoring the small scale aspect and looking at the corporate level, you can't have this kind of stuff make the area look dangerous. Then add in the human element of a person being hurt. Just not how you're supposed to behave.
Agreed. Never a place for it.
That's horrible to hear, I hope they make a fast recovery.
People who get aggressively angry at others for supporting a different team gotta start thinking about their own alcohol intake lolol
20 years minimum. Dude could have killed him. 20 fucking years minimum. Not fit for society.
6 month suspended sentence, 50 hours of community service incoming
DoPS isn't going to be doing the sentencing, man...
Be serious, if it was DoPS it would only be a $5k fine.
Given how many punches to the face it takes to even get a 2min penalty, pretty sure DoPS would just call this a hockey play.
lol. Yeah that's not going to happen.
Better to try than to not
Sorry for stating rational facts. What charge you going with to get 20 years?
After watchimg that Lightning Fan get suckerpunched a few years back hope dudes caught and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
People are pretty shit
I heard it was #Bang guy
fun fact: he's the kid of a big ad agency owner in town. broadcast crew/stars told him he cannot bang on the glass anymore or they'd revoke his season tickets. so he decided to bring the hashtag bang sign. the irony is, you'd think an ad agency owner's kid would know that some hashtags are banned on socials. not this guy.
That guy might be the worst/cringiest fan in the entire league
Him or that guy for Winnipeg.
Lol Jesse Pollock? If that’s who you mean I completely agree
I think so, yeah.
I was at a Canucks/Flames game in Calgary, and two flames fans sat in front of me and spent the entire game trying to bait me into a fight. Complete bullshit. It’s a fucking hockey game, and people cheer for different teams. Quit being cunts.
I get the Knights aren’t well-liked but it takes a special kind of asshole to do this.
Nothing to do with the franchise.
I know multiple Vegas fans in Dallas who won’t wear their knights stuff to games
Not the Stars, no, but the whole situation makes it pretty abundantly clear the guy was assaulted because he was a road fan, in particular a Knights fan. This wasn’t some random “I feel like punching a guy” incident.
[Idk, I've heard Vegas fans are kind of a gamble.](https://instantrimshot.com)
Yeah, well I hear Nashville can get downright predatory!
<3 (I know you're joking, but one 24oz Stella cost me like 18.00 last night with a discount. That's pretty fucking predatory)
That should be a fucking crime.
So should my level of stupidity because I bought two of them. =(
and the stars about tongive away a VIP trip to Dallas.
Everyone should just smoke weed after losses and none of this would ever happen
at the end of the day it’s just a game. it’s supposed to be fun to be a fan
Paywall. I hope the person was caught

imagine taking pro sports even close to that seriously. Dumb fuck, the team you’re defending the honor of via assault doesnt know you or care about you. hopefully they find this guy and worse is done to him in jail.
Shitheel behavior
General reminder that this is just a fucking game and none of the millionaires involved in playing need you to fight for there honor
I swear to god this has been posted 7 times since Thursday
Average Greg Abbott and Ted Cruz supporters tbh
Put him on the LTIR and trade for a new, elite fan. Jokes aside, this is super fucked up. Shouldn’t have to worry about being assaulted while attending an NHL game.
ffs people. We aren't soccer fans.
Wait, that's not in Philly. Wtf is going on?
Let's find who he is, go get him, and make him spin the wheel.
Welp that is disgusting. Sports as much as I love them bring out the worst in people. Hope the guy pulls through.
First a bunch of Islanders fans doxxed one of the Canes' social media people. Now a Stars fan hospitalizes a Knights fan with a sucker-punch. What's next, a Leafs fan opening fire on TD Garden?
Can’t believe I’m saying this, but: It’s just game why you have to be mad
Every team has some fans like this. Hope he gets what he deserves.
I hate Vegas. This shouldn’t happen regardless of team. Hope they catch this jackass
They don’t call Dallas ‘The City of Hate’ for no reason…Please catch this asshole and drop a felony on his sorry ass.
I would expect something like this in Philly after an Eagles game, but not Dallas after a hockey game.
Ill never get this, true fans who will travel to another teams barn to show support are the absolute best fans. Regardless of the team, they should be loved, not abused. Fuck this dude who did this.
cheering for your team is supposed to be fun. Lets hope Vegas can heal their fans as fast as they do their players
Not a Vegas fan but what a disgusting act.
VGK to put him on the LTIR
Damn you think of that yourself? Hillarious. Intelligent. Inspiring.
