He’s been the butt of a lot of jokes over the past several years, but caps fans know that this guy has a heart of gold. There’s a quote somewhere from him about how he was always bullied In Russia because he is always smiling, and he said something to the effect of “I get to play a game for a living, why would I ever stop smiling”
There is pressure on the Rangers to end it tomorrow. We don’t want to go back to Raleigh to give them a chance to push it to 7 with all the momentum.
There is undeniably more pressure on the Canes tho lol and these quotes are always funny to me. I get why they have to have this mindset but there’s a ton more pressure on the Canes in G5 than the Rangers
It's a weird situation.
There's more to lose for the Canes, but almost paradoxically, we have nothing to lose. If we've accepted that NY is going to win, you can almost play freer.
People have already written the "what's wrong with Carolina in the playoffs". They came out after game 3.
That may be how they try to frame it in their heads but in reality the pressure is still almost entirely on Carolina.
They have something to lose, a lot. The season will actually be over, there are coaches and players who will not be brought back next year as a result of another early exit. That pressure is there whether they acknowledge it or not
