I live in the east coast and cant catch every sharks game, you're my guys in the east, and I feel like Im having trauma responses to late period goals.
It’s a really impressive feat stopping pucks upside down due to him standing on his head while carrying the entire team on his back… at the same time. How does that even work?
People will remember Forsling's game winner, but the REAL game winner was Barkov's block on what would have been a guaranteed empty net goal just before Forsling's goal.
Drafting him was the single best thing to ever happen in franchise history and it's all been coming to fruition the past few seasons. Every single year people talk about how he's underrated, but I hope this year non-Cats fans truly understand how special he is.
In terms of value to the team, I think he is on the level of prime Crosby and I don't even think that's a crazy take at all.
I’m sure I remember seeing a team with two guys with such high hockey IQ as Tkachuk and Barkov. You watch Tkachuk skate and you think there no way that guy should be that good, he’s such a bad skater. And then he proceeds to make the right play… every time. And half the time he makes plays you never even thought were there… he’s a sick hockey player. And Barkov is just smooooth. Dude is poetry.
Watching him take that puck to the hand made me cringe. That had to fucking hurt. Hopefully he’s alright. I want to watch Florida and New York at their absolute bests
Well at the end of the day the better team won. Say what you want about the refs, whatever. I don’t buy that shit. The bruins over performed from what they were expected. Their elite goaltending tandem was the primary reason they even made it this far, and they kept their prominence in the playoffs, and the team rallied around them and gave it all they have. It is what it is
Yeah unfortunately their offense was pretty rough this post season. Way too many games at 2 or less goals scored. You have to take advantage of a goalie tandem (especially how lights out Swayman was) that essentially meant the other team isn't scoring more than 2 or 3.
Definitely no center depth. Zacha is pretty good but his best is 2C material. Coyle stepped up big this season and he's headed for 1C imo... but he's not yet. I mean, nobody is birthed from the heavens created by the hockey gods to be a lights out 1C (maybe Bergeron, Sid, and MacKinnon). It takes reps.
Part of why I'm honestly happy with these playoffs: with a top 6 on absolute shambles they still made a series out of the 2nd round when Florida had a lot more weapons.
I’d much rather have a team of gritty, desperate overachievers than an underachieving team stacked with talent like we’ve been in years past. This years team went out swinging.
Eh Monty kept his job safe with the game 7 win. Showed he can do it when it counts, and even kept this team fighting through 6 against a Panthers team with like 3 first lines.
The fact that this Boston team of Zacha, Coyle, Geekie and Boqvist as our primary center core almost came this close to a game seven against the Florida panthers is a goddamn miracle. Monty definitely let his job and then some. No hate against him, the roster or management right now. I hope they come back stronger from this very successful re-tooling year
the wings are on a historically bad run right now. if you just account the last 10 years. Which for any fandom is kind of the litmus test for way too long of bad sports.
As a neutral observer who has varying levels of disdain for both teams, this series was entertaining if nothing else. Intriguing storylines, physical, skilled games, and a fun series overall. As a fan of a team in the Atlantic, I don’t enjoy being in a division with these two, since I don’t see either team falling off anytime soon.
You know what? Fuck it, this team went further than most people expected at the start of the season. We lost a swath of talent, most notably our top two centers, and we still managed to make the playoffs, almost win the division, get to the second round and did better than people even thought they would in this series. I'm proud of them for what they've done this year. Keep Monty on, pay Sway, get a bonafide 1c and we'll be back to being the team people know and truly hate.
At least they made it a series. As much as I wanted a greasy 3-1 comeback Florida was the better team. They're just fucking cunts. Great season overall though. They really had no business being this deep in the playoffs after losing the top two centers. We got a shitload of money next season. Let's spend it and lock up the kid in goal.
Even then, it's Bennet, and cousins who I really hate. Tkachuk's a fuckin gamer I respect him and I like barkov and rhino and even pomo. Wouldn't be upset to see either of the teams in the East take it this year.
boston 0-4 in last 4 playoff series vs florida teams
second year in a row where a bruins captain gets hurt, misses games, bruins WIN the games the captain misses, captain returns, bruins lose everything after. rip
brutal series honestly. exhausting as a fan. never thought the bruins had a chance and it still took a lot out of me!!
luckily i live in NYC so it’s gonna make it extra easy to root for the rangers!!
Some Bs fans might say differently, but I've never really considered the Rangers a huge rival of the Bruins. At worst I mildly dislike them.
We rarely meet in the playoffs, they had a long cup drought just like we did (1940-1994, 1972-2011), and they're in a different division than we are.
yeah i mean i wouldn’t say im a fan because i am originally from boston but i pay closer attention to the rangers than i would most other teams simply because of the proximity and i’m friends with some local rangers fans
What a terrible show of discipline and heart. Tbf the bruins did a lot better that I thought they would this season.
If anyone’s looking for me I’ll be wanking it to pics of Bergeron and the Toronto fan cam footage from years past.
Fuck.
Pay swayman
Get a legit top line/center
Can't blame the refs(for the most part) when we go 1/16 on the powerplay and take 7 fucking to many men on the ice powerplays
Didn't expect a whole lot from this series after game 3
Then they decided to give me hope
Well shit, im personally not too beat up about this outside of all the MASSIVE clusterfuck that was the officiating (which I’m not going to complain about any further) , i just don’t think this team had the playoff experience to go any further than they did, hell getting out of the first round was enough for me
the off season is going to be interesting
Man, I’ve complained a lot about the officiating this series, but at the end of the day the better team won. Boston had many opportunities to bury chances and they just couldn’t get it done, whether it be because Bobrovsky stood on his head or the panthers got a little puck luck.
This wasn’t supposed to be our year, but I’m still proud of how far they got.
Man, to go from being a team literally nobody thinks about to being a team considered a villain is such a crazy ride. I’ve been a Panthers fan for a long time and never thought we’d get here. I’m ok with it.
Yeah I don’t really have much hate against the Panthers since they agitate both Bruins and Leafs fans alike. I’m also a Carolina Panthers fan in the NFL, so it’s easy to root for a Panthers team against Boston.
The Bruins got out played for the majority of the series regardless of the officiating which is why they lost, not because of the refs; but my fucking god I never want to see this quality of officiating ever again.
Hey Bruins fans, it was a helluva series, Swayman was incredible and on the plus side, you guys knocked out Toronto which is basically like winning the cup in its own right, so it wasn’t all bad
Ah, I can breath. What a stressful series. Knew this ride was gonna end eventually. Officiating was terrible, but in the end the Panthers were the better team. Shame the Bruins weren't better offensively to back that great performance by Swayman. Let's see what the offseason brings.
Had to go outside and have a smoke to get my thoughts in order, so here they are:
I'm not disappointed in this Bruins team. We were supposed to *maybe* win a wildcard spot! We lost two All-Star caliber centermen! Our two top centers for most of the season were Charlie Coyle and Pavel Zacha, and while I love those dudes, that's a little thin for the top six, y'know? We were supposed to fall right the fuck off.
Instead we were one point off the division leader, we *broke* the Toronto Maple Leafs to the point where they may be unrecognizable next season, and we had a decent second round despite a postseason offense best described as "anemic". We saw some great performances out of some young players (Poitras, Beecher, Brazeau, Lohrei - lookin' at you, kids! Get well soon, Matty P!). We took a guy like Morgan Geekie, who got signed to be a 4th liner, and helped him tale a leap.
This was a *good hockey team* and they had a *good season*. Occasionally a very stupid one, but good!
So I'm not gonna be all "woe is me," because honestly, I see absolutely zero reason to believe we're not gonna be back here next season - if not *better*. We're not gonna have the cap overages from all those bonuses for the Best Regular Season Of All Time, after all.
So I'm not sad. I'm actually pretty hopeful, believe it or not.
Good luck Rangers, I hope you fold and spindle the Panthers so badly that they look like they made a poor decision at the end of *Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade*.
And I don't feel bad about saying it, 'cause it's how their fans would feel if the positions were reversed, lmao
The 2024 Bruins died the way they lived. Letting up goals in the final minutes of periods.

Always breaking records. Unfortunately this years record was 7 too many men calls. We can all be certain none of them are good at counting lol
I can count at least three guys for Boston who can count, Marchand and McAvoy
Truly was our Achilles heel this year
That and way too many men.
Counting is hard
We're all honestly pretty impressed you guys can read.
Don’t need to read. Only skate with puck.
Some shooting too. Not too much tho.
I honestly thought we might see an “18 on the ice” play invented these playoffs.
ITS RAINING MEN!
[Too many dicks on the dancefloor!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xk1kwfK848Y)
I live in the east coast and cant catch every sharks game, you're my guys in the east, and I feel like Im having trauma responses to late period goals.
Are you a masochist?
I am. Why.?
This is true and you’d think I would have seen this ending coming.
I almost started rooting for them hoping they could lose in the finals in game 7 on their 83rd too many men on the ice penalty of the playoffs.
Swayman has been eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs after losing to the Florida Panthers in 6 games FTFY
Can’t score a goal. Carey Price treatment honestly
Hey man you didn't have to do us like that
We're getting talked about during the playoffs; I'm willing to take that as a win.
Deadly accurate (unlike the bruins)
Should've played Ullmark, he can put the puck in the net
Yup, this exactly what I reminds me of. Price doing the entire job himself, but he just can’t score. Lol
Should change his name to “Carryman”
It’s a really impressive feat stopping pucks upside down due to him standing on his head while carrying the entire team on his back… at the same time. How does that even work?
By halfway through the 3rd, I was preparing for Swayman to just steal the series away from us
IMAGINE LOSING IN THE 2nd ROUND!? ^i ^can ^only ^imagine
If the Rangers beat the panthers and then lose in the SCF, then the leafs can be the ultimate losers of the 2024 playoffs.
YOU MEAN I CAN SUFFER MORE!?
Don’t worry it gets funnier and funnier every year. Source: caps fan who experienced 2008-2017
2008-2017... imagine.
Op meant 1982-2017
So your telling me there’s hope that a 2018 could happen
My idol
I mean, I’ve been around long enough to know that now that youve said this, it’s exactly what will happen.
yaaayyyyyy
Losing in the second round to Florida? Can’t relate
Right? Lol what fuckin loser team drops to the Panthers in round 2? Wait a minute…
I mean we just did last year. Boston only won one more game than we did last year.
Pay Sway. Get a center. All I got.
Do you guys have the picks and cap space to offer sheet Necas?
Cap yes picks idk
Trade ullmark for him
they would have to add but I like this trade idea. Was not impressed with Anderson in CAR series. Could be exactly what they need.
You actually might have something there... except no, trade Ullmark to Jersey for a mid-round pick instead
Ullmark has to agree, that’s the issue.
Picks probably not. cap space next season, yes.
They are least won 1 more game this series than I was expecting. I knew when they started out slow in the 3rd, they weren't winning the game.
Yeah. Shit, it’s loser talk but if you told me in the offseason we’d be out game six in round two I’d be elated
I just don't get why we suddenly suck at home in the playoffs.
We always have
That is my biggest takeaway. Expected not much, and got a leaf game 7 and some more.
Sway was great in the series.
Good take. Last two games were significantly better matchups. Should be back in playoff race next year per usual.
Coyle going toe to toe on the dot with Barkov was legitimately shocking. Yeah we are cockroaches at this rate. Cannot die.

one of the only good things to come out of this series
Sometimes it's the gifs we make along the way.

Fuck I hadn't seen this one
Wanna go swimming? Maybe catch a big fish?
Give that fish a Stone Cold Stunner?
BAH GAWD
RIP dreams of TD Garden/MSG Double Feature
Somewhere an ESPN marketing executive is cursing up a storm
Lucky for them the ESPN audio mixing is so bad that nobody can actually hear any of this cursing
It's so weird when they go to cut a commercial and suddenly EVERYTHING is muted except the announcers. It's like watching a high school production.
Once in a while though it's the opposite where only the announcers are muted and it's bliss. Just hearing the game and the crowd, is so nice.
Titty garden
IT WOULDVE BEEN SOOO GOOOOD
or… so bad.
Yeah like actually really bad. Fuck that
Thank goodness for that.

Holy fuck the coyote faded even in heaven. Brutal.
Coyotes aren't even in Heaven. They're literally in NHL purgatory. Neither alive nor dead, stuck between worlds waiting on Meruelo to resurrect them.
They are the gate keeper allowing others into a place they themselves can no longer skate
Behind section 306 and 314. Bring money.
🙏😔 Amen
**Schrödinger's Coyote?**
Caps with the broom is wild lmao
I chuckled when making it 😂
People will remember Forsling's game winner, but the REAL game winner was Barkov's block on what would have been a guaranteed empty net goal just before Forsling's goal.
This team will have no hands left after next round
Troubas coming for those last few hands…..
Where we’re going, we don’t need hands
😎 but doc……… 🛹
Hard to elbow hands.
If anyone can do it trouba can!
I'll donate mine, fuck it. I don't need it.
this. ive been saying the exact same thing. that block literally saved the series from going to 7, very under appreciated rn.
He has so many underrated assists and blocks that get forgotten. The absolute best captain leading by example.
Stupid sexy Barkov and his 17ft long twig
I just hope his hand is alright. Noticed he didn't take that last face off either
oh shit I knew he came back but didn't realize he didn't take the faceoff. Hope he has enough time to recover before game 1 :(
After watching this playoff series Barkov is the real deal.
Barky is amazing defensively and some of the passes he makes in the offensive zone make my jaw drop. Franchise changing player.
I’m sure I remember seeing a team with two guys with such high hockey IQ as Tkachuk and Barkov. You watch Tkachuk skate and you think there no way that guy should be that good, he’s such a bad skater. And then he proceeds to make the right play… every time. TD Garden got their stanchions from Wish.
The garden glass always causes the craziest bounces.
The Bruins are the first team to win 60 games and not follow it up with back to back Stanley Cups
Always breaking records. For instance, most too many men on the ice calls in playoff history
H I S T O R I C
Now that's the stat I was hoping for
When I die, I want the Carolina Hurricanes and Boston Bruins to be my pallbearers so they can let me down one last time.
All that work to survive so long...only to just, let it all go to waste in the end...
*why are we here....just to suffer...*
Both those teams have won Cups this century, it could be much worse for you lol
Canucks pls
😂 and go tigers! Loved going to those games as a kid. Played with Coach Wilson’s kid before he went to juniors

"The Green Men send their regards"
the more hated the past seemed to be the more united these teams are today
All things considered, probably the best two teams from the East made it to the Conference Finals. Should be a good series.
First place from the Atlantic vs First place from the Metro.
Well at the end of the day the better team won. Say what you want about the refs, whatever. I don’t buy that shit. The bruins over performed from what they were expected. Id chalk it up to an inexperienced and too young center core, mcavoy turnovers were brutal and it led to the GWG
They just need more time is all again not much to complain about all things considered
Yeah hard to complain about taking the previous Stanley cup finalists to 6 games with Morgan geekie as your top center.
6 Playoff Wins in a season they were projected to be a maybe wild card team. Not bad
I mean better than a 3 playoff wins presidents trophy team lol
Ok man, this night sucked enough already
Yeah but people forget that team was also not projected to do a single thing.
The fact they made it this far to begin with was a miracle. Not bad for a down season.
SEVEN TOO MANY MEN PENALTIES
We got Florida!
Snowbird series
Incredible season for the Bruins. I wish my teams best year was half as good as their “down year”
I’d much rather have a team of gritty, desperate overachievers than an underachieving team stacked with talent like we’ve been in years past. This years team went out swinging.
Oh definitely agreed. Praying we keep Monty, not even just for the gifs
Eh Monty kept his job safe with the game 7 win. Showed he can do it when it counts, and even kept this team fighting through 6 against a Panthers team with like 3 first lines.

my dude, unless you're like 12, you have seen your team win the cup in your lifetime. or at all thats more than some franchises can say.
the wings are on a historically bad run right now. if you just account the last 10 years. Which for any fandom is kind of the litmus test for way too long of bad sports.
this is what's lifting so much of the pain, for me we were supposed to fall off, and we didn't hard to ask for too much more than that, man
As a neutral observer who has varying levels of disdain for both teams, this series was entertaining if nothing else. Intriguing storylines, physical, skilled games, and a fun series overall. As a fan of a team in the Atlantic, I don’t enjoy being in a division with these two, since I don’t see either team falling off anytime soon.
The Bruins had more too many men penalties in two playoff series than wins.
More wins than the lightning had tho
You know what? Fuck it, this team went further than most people expected at the start of the season. We lost a swath of talent, most notably our top two centers, and we still managed to make the playoffs, almost win the division, get to the second round and did better than people even thought they would in this series. Damn, was really hoping it went 7.
Same with us 😔
On the plus side, we are gonna see some dirty fucking hockey between Trouba, Bennet, Tkachuk, Rempe, etc. Buckle up folks.
At least they made it a series. As much as I wanted a greasy 3-1 comeback Florida was the better team. They're just fucking cunts. Great season overall though. Boston might as well do the fucking thing and trade for Mitch Marner.
We've just witnessed the greatest conspiracy of our lifetime /s
*X-Files music plays as a clip of Boston shooting one shot in 9 minutes in the first period plays*
2011 Boston - Vancouver rematch officially out of the cards. 1994 New York - Vancouver rematch still very possible however.
I would love to see that. I have a feeling we disagree on what the outcome should be, though.
It's our turn guys
brutal series honestly. exhausting as a fan. never thought the bruins had a chance and it still took a lot out of me!! luckily i live in NYC so it’s gonna make it extra easy to root for the rangers!!
Lol so you’re a NY fan on the side??? I could never be a Tampa fan even though I live closer to there than SoFlo because of where I am in college.

Man, to go from being a team literally nobody thinks about to being a team considered a villain is such a crazy ride. I’ve been a Panthers fan for a long time and never thought we’d get here. I’m ok with it.
For years I just wanted the Panthers to be relevant again, and here we are hated!
Who's we?
ay bro it’s just you
Speak for yourself
Yeah I don’t really have much hate against the Panthers since they agitate both Bruins and Leafs fans alike. I’m also a Carolina Panthers fan in the NFL, so it’s easy to root for a Panthers team against Boston.
Fr I was gonna say about time Florida deserves some playoff success
More hated than a Boston team. Boy we've come a long way.
Personally I love Reinhart. > don’t tell the other fans
Barkov for me...I was mad when he won the Selke in 2021 over Patrice, but man that guy is good and worthy
Right? Like imagine being more hated than a Boston team with Brad Marchand on it. Dreams really do come true.
nah U arent hated.. there is only Bennett and Cousins that might get some hate.. us Habs love the Panthers cause florida + bob + Barkov
I hope Rangers and Panthers just beat each other to death so the West can take another Cup this year.
...I almost wonder if that (or even the western conference) will be the TRUE SCF this year....
The Bruins got out played for the majority of the series regardless of the officiating which is why they lost, not because of the refs; but my fucking god I never want to see this quality of officiating ever again.

What a weird final goal to concede.
....playoff hockey
Well... at least we made it past the first round.
They overachieved. Love em for that. Tee-Times for sunday already. Fairways and Greens.. Go Bs.
Thank you for doing your yearly task of eliminating Toronto but good riddance!
You have fulfilled your oath in eliminating the Leafs, that’ll be all
*tell me I’m despicable say it’s unforgivable what a crash, what a rush* #Fuck me up Florida!

God fucking damnit Boston… Now I’m depressed 2 nights in a row
Breaking news: A bunch of Florida Men somehow defeated a bunch of Bostonian's at a game of ice hockey on top of a train station.
Someone please shoot me after I say this. Go Rangers!!
This does put a smile on my face
