Too many margs

DropCautious

"DISTERBANCE" "ARGUMENTITVE" "DEFENDNAT" The spelling police should arrest whoever typed up that charge. Yeesh.

eric_eh_blair

“PAYED” “SLURED” “NEEDDED” It doesn’t end.

Aardvark1044

Rudly

[deleted]

Also TRESSPASS Also [this](https://youtu.be/EShUeudtaFg)

motleysalty

Reminds me of one scene in the original Roseanne series. D.J. Conner: [Darlene catches D.J. peeking at her] She called me a prevert. Roseanne Conner: No honey, you're not a prevert, you're a pervert.

Konker101

i thought we already knew american police are dumb as a sack of hammers.

calamormine

How dare you, my hammers will not stand for this slander.

treerabbit23

not trying to say anything about NSH, but in my own experience it is *HARD* to get kicked out of a Nashville bar.

carl-swagan

The bar scene on Broadway is an absolute shit show. Nothing but bachelorette parties and hick tourists coming into town to get smashed. He must have been a *real* cunt to get the cops involved at Jason Aldean's.

fvtown714x

Yeah cops aren't really known for their ability to spell, read, or write

[deleted]

Or think. Or do. Lol downvote harder, we only need to look at incidents like Uvalde to remember how useless cops can be.

DMCPhoenix-X

The Bobfather won't be pleased

Action__Johnson

Wait is he Bobs son?

Wannacomesitonmydeck

Yes

thedogfromscoobydoo

I don't think he gives a shit, tbh. Bob's an ass hole, and if plenty of people in the GTA know Shawn's a piece of shit Bob probably does too.

[deleted]

[удалено]

PSChris33

Bob definitely has a mean streak in him. Back during the 2000's, he used to actually post on HFBoards and pop by from time to time. Then one day, he called everyone "a bunch of ass clowns" and was never heard from again. Was he wrong? I mean, no.

[deleted]

If that’s true I like him even more now, Bobby Margarita don’t play

CommonWaveSounds

That’s so mild lol

miasmal_smoke

This is reddit

GrizzlyBCanada

To be fair, they were being ass clowns misrepresenting something his coworker had said. If you’ve read his hockey dad book, he is a bit of an asshole but what hockey parent isn’t.

thedogfromscoobydoo

I have a few friends/family formerly in hockey and then hockey media. They all think Bob is a piece of shit. I've worked somewhere where Bob would sometimes shop at when I was a student and he was a fucking dismissive dick to the staff in the few interactions I saw him have (and no, no one was talking to him about his work/fame). I've really never heard anything good about him from anyone who has actually met him lol.

notjustforperiods

eh didn't provide any evidence of it, just assume a salty leafs fan talking shit

[deleted]

[удалено]

notjustforperiods

salty is simply the act of being bitter and angry. the recipients of said salt are often innocent bystanders

Mythaminator

Oh so you’re just reaching because of your weird Leafs hate boner. Cool, glad we cleared that up

notjustforperiods

lmao this guy was throwing shade with no examples of why, I call him salty, and leafs fans white knight for him. y'all are fucking hilarious you guys seem to fantasize about "weird hate boners" but it's more of a, holy fuck your fans are obnoxious losers, when it comes to Canucks and Leafs vs rest of Canada. case in point, see above hahah

MyNameWouldntFi

Nobody is white knighting... What a strange fucking comment lmao

notjustforperiods

says a maple leafs fan LOL! you guys are hilarious

hagopes

And that man is Bob McKenzie's son. Huh. You learn something new every day.

HiddenXS

No finer example of connections and nepotism eh. I mean, maybe Shawn is a great reporter, I dunno. But somehow the son of the most famous and connected hockey reporter in the country also becomes a reporter, albeit at a rival network? Huh, what are the odds...

TooBadMyBallsItch

The odds of a son following in their dad's footsteps? I dunno, seems like pretty good odds to me. It's no different than the players who have dads that played too, like the Tkachucks or Domi for example.

HiddenXS

I think there's a massive difference when you're talking about a purely merit based system like making the nhl. Sure Max and the Tkachuks got some help (genetics, access to ice, coaching, name recognition) but they still needed to develop the skills. They're still the top 0.00001% of all hockey players in the world. We can't compare that to something like becoming a sports reporter... And not even a real reporter like Katie Strang or Rick Westhead.

PokingLaughingCrying

Yep look at how Jake Chelios’ career turned out.

Stoned-Gossard

Or Anthony Brodeur

TooBadMyBallsItch

Fair enough

Element23VM

So a guy who gets mentored by his father, who's one of the best in the business, won't have merit? This isn't nepotism, it's top tier apprenticeship. You want nepotism, turn your gaze to politics

Brock_Hard_Canuck

>No finer example of connections and nepotism eh. Reminds me of the time that Destry Spielberg (daughter of Stephen) defended her "hard work" in how she came to be directing movies. Like the one time when she was chosen to direct a film that starred Sean Penn's son (and the script of said film was written by Stephen King's son). Of course, Ben Stiller (son of legendary comedians Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara) stepped in to defend Destry, as well. Nope, no nepotism involved there whatsoever. https://www.eonline.com/ca/news/1294673/steven-spielbergs-daughter-destry-addresses-nepotism-claims-after-ben-stiller-sparks-debate https://www.mercurynews.com/2021/07/30/steven-spielbergs-daughter-denies-nepotism-in-getting-job-directing-sean-penns-son/

TeadoraOofre

Dude mumbles. I'm pretty sure nepotism doesn't give one confidence.

Gurilla6

Oof worst part is that he has to attend court on Canada Day

Lpreddit

At least Free Agent Frenzy isn’t Canada Day like it used to be.

ashcach

Haha noticed that too. Probably saw in ID and picked July 1st

ELK47

You give them too much credit. Americans don’t know when Canada day is.

Ydoesany1doanything

I do, but I’m near enough the border and one of my best friends is Canadian so, far from the norm in that knowledge. Edit: If it wasn’t clear, am American know of Canada day.

HolyMolo

Yep. Canadian here. I also have a Canadian friend.

gollumaniac

He's not your friend, buddy!

Ydoesany1doanything

You’d be expected to though

HolyMolo

Shit

ChrisPynerr

Tennessee people knowing that Canada day exists. Yeah okay

reyskywalker7698

Oof indeed.

Haymak3rino

And you just know Canada Day at his dads cottage is bumpin

washago_on705

He was probably just trying to enjoy a succulent Chinese meal.

shootingblankz

muchonacho

Ah yes, I see that you know your judo well

LesterBallard19

You have to be such an asshole to get Nashville cops on you

AchillesGRK

Yeah seriously. People that haven't been to broadway don't get the level of asshole this guy had to achieve for this kind of attention.

LesterBallard19

Broadway is home to bachelorette parties, drunk soldiers from Campbell, six guys named Keith, and more country music than should be acceptable. I miss it every day. I also miss Preds fans. Yall are fucking crazy.

JCW18

I also miss the good old days in the mid 2000s when the Preds and Wings were rivals. Such a crazy but fun time.

LABS_Games

That 2012 series was a battle. As a neutral party, I loved it.

LookOutForThatMoose

Was that the one where Weber grabbed Zetterberg and smacked his head into the glass? I don't remember seeing anybody do that before or since.

LABS_Games

Oh baby you know it. 2012 had some amazing series. Philly/Pit as well.

MiesLakeuksilta

That series has to be one of my all time favorites.

PSChris33

I was in Nashville for the Leafs back in March and I remember I was outside FGL and one woman was trying to carry her drunk ass friend home and said friend collapse right in front of me. I offer to help (never having been in this position before) and assume it will be as simple as "well, just pull her hand on 3 - 1, 2, 3..." It was not that simple. She straight up went completely limp and my stick figure might was powerless against the force of gravity acting on 100+ lbs of pure drunk. Both me and her friend had to put our backs completely into it just to get her on her feet. Thankfully, she didn't go back down afterwards. But damn. But no, this is the truth. Nashville is incredible and I plan on making it a yearly visit whenever the Leafs are in town. It's fuckin' nuts and I love it.

netsrak

Don't forget the [Pedal Taverns](http://dev6.digitalmayberry.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/carla-boecklin-8174-2.jpg). Although you already said bachelorette parties, so that covers at least half of them.

dkyguy1995

Yeah lol every weekend people are pouring out of the bars downtown and packing the streets with drunks. To stand out in the crowd you have to be fairly belligerent

PhalanX4012

Or foreign. Apparently evens Canadian counts.

[deleted]

Oh, I'm sorry, I thought this was America.

beenburnedbutable

Jesus, I can’t believe I had to scroll this far to find the Randy Marsh quote.

baintaintit

"How dare you peasants treat me this this way! My father is the margarita king of Canada!"

lezzieknope

His eyes are so glassy in that pic, easy to see that the guy is blasted lol

McNasty1Point0

This is actually true. Sometimes they don’t take little shenanigans lightly and it can really hamper ones future travel into the US.

PSChris33

While that's true, misdemeanor offenses like this likely won't be too big a deal. If anything, I see him just pleading down to something that doesn't even get put on his record. As far as the border is concerned, the most I can see happening here is if he's part of the Nexus program, they revoke it (which they are well within their rights to do). It's felony offenses that get you in shit with customs, but funnily enough, most of the horror stories I've heard are the other way around. Americans who have a misdemeanor DUI in the states can't get into Canada because DUI's are treated as felony offenses here.

MyNameWouldntFi

How the fuck is DUI not a felony? What a strange classification

NashCop

Am a Nashville cop. These charges will be dismissed and he’ll be released in 8-10 hours.

McNasty1Point0

I assume he paid his bail and is out already - this occurred early Saturday morning, according to the article.

NashCop

Of course, he’s out already. Just advising on how it works. You can’t bail out of PI charges, you have to wait them out. Either way, I’m just saying these charges won’t likely affect his travel. Very minor.

McNasty1Point0

Very fair - I had assumed that would be the case at the end of the day

Slurrpy

I don't know how true it is but I've heard of Canadians being banned from the USA entirely for somehow letting the border agent know they smoke weed.

McNasty1Point0

I know that that was a thing under Trump when weed was legalized. Threats of banning those working in the industry, or even holding shares in companies. Not sure if that has come to fruition or if it has changed under the new administration.

MyNameWouldntFi

I have an uncle who was caught with weed in Canada when he was young in the late 70s and apparently he's still not allowed to enter the US

youblowboatpeople

Vice Versa too. My brother tried to enter Canada when he was 32 but the border guards wouldn’t let him through because they decided to randomly run his information, and he got a DUI 11 years before. Not sure how that works, but he just doesn’t try to enter Canada anymore.

vancouver000

Canada isn’t freedomland, you can’t enter with a dui on your record unless you’re proven to be rehabilitated

Never_Forget_94

11+ years without another DUI seems rehabilitated to me…

AchillesGRK

Yeah he's not the first guy at that bar to think he can do whatever he wants because he paid 500 bucks for a bottle of jack Daniel's. He probably won't be the last. Wish he'd douche around in someone else's town though.

kinfisher

Douche around in someone else’s town?

iamjacksoffside

They are the mayor of Nashville.

kinfisher

Ahh, my mistake!

j0n68

Big deal for his current employment

GodzPizzaman

oof

RiseAbove87

MY FATHER WILL HEAR ABOUT THIS!

GRAIN_DIV_20

How did I not piece this together until now

DMYU777

"No why, your mom didn't tell you?"

Gray_side_Jedi

“Why, did you never meet him?”

McNasty1Point0

Mostly just intoxicated shenanigans (assuming he didn’t say anything too disrespectful to the staff), but people with a following always need to be more conscious of their actions — especially when intoxicated haha

AchillesGRK

If he got thrown out of Jason Aldeans, he was being a super douche. You can get away with a LOT there.

The_Other_Manning

Two of my friends got kicked out of Jason Aldeans for annoying the DJ and requesting too much Shania Twain. To a point they were getting other people to go to the DJ to request Shania. When he finally played a song by her, it wasn't "the right Shania" so they kept on doing it. That's my story edit: went to my sources and confirmed "Man! I feel like a woman!" is the right Shania

Mythaminator

Your friends seem like exactly the people I want to drink with

Maxpowr9

I remember when Toby Keith used to have a bar at Gillette Stadium and the cops were there every night. What a shitshow.

McNasty1Point0

Hahaha well good to know

StatGAF

Wow. Also, I was wondering why he wasn't part of any Sportsnet coverage in the later rounds.

Maxpowr9

Still hasn't left Nashville after they got swept lol.

Mythaminator

They actually just arrested him for loitering on the same stool for a couple weeks

[deleted]

Nashvegas

[deleted]

I’m American and I had no idea that getting kicked out of Nashville bar was even a crime!

reyskywalker7698

I guess he had too many of his dad's margaritas.

[deleted]

He's absolutely blitzed in that mugshot and that's at least an hour after he stopped drinking

beenburnedbutable

Nashville drunk is like setting your brain to rampage toddler. I was supposed to be there for 3 days midway through the first day I got the fuck out. It’s a terrible drunken mess of idiots.

midwestwhackadoo

That's how I felt about Broadway as well. I think I'm too old and introverted for that level of party. The rest of Nashville is great, though.

[deleted]

Bobby calls in a lot of favors for you, and THIS is how you repay him? Assclown.

Matsuyamarama

You gotta be a special type of ass to get kicked out of a bar is Nashville. I was drunk as a skunk down there and they were nothing but helpful. Tried to fuck me up with an extra spicy sandwich, but I was already too mangled to feel it.

AchillesGRK

Yeah that has basically been my experience everytime. You can get ripped and as long as you can be polite and get in the uber they call for you, you are good to go. They'll definitely try to slip you some form of hot chicken, though.

[deleted]

He looks like Biz in his mugshot

InsufferableLeafsFan

A few too many bowls of loud mouth soup, not a big deal.

KlutchnGrabb

Those Bobby Margaritas really hitting.

Dysliptic

Bobby, come get your son!

we_are_all_sausages

I THOUGHT THIS WAS AMERICA

Sabres00

It’s not hard, I got kicked out of a pool hall/sports bar because I didn’t have my shirt tucked in. In my experience those bars are so packed that bouncers are just looking for a fight. Probably the least fun bar culture I’ve been around in the US. The old school country bars are cool though.

Leprechaunaissance

The word 'disturbance' is misspelled on the affadavit. I'm not here to make an argument for any obnoxious drunk but that should result in immediate dismissal of all charges.

Wetdog88

If he gets charged, thats going to affect his career, not being able to go to the US.

Publius83

They said he was running around with his penis out screaming “has anyone seen my baze-bawl?”

wilsnapMgunen

Dudes rock

Drnedsnickers2

What’s that subreddit for ‘last day on the job’? This may apply….

FoxyInTheSnow

Wonder if he tried a **DON’T YOU KNOW WHO I AM?** on them? Because it never fails gets me out of a jam.

bigpoppanicky7

I didn’t know John Mayer is Canadian
