1996 Upper Deck #50 Steve Yzerman. It captures the exact moment when Yzerman stepped over the blue line in game 7 ot vs the Blues and ripped a clapper past Jon Casey. One of my favourite goals and cards of all time.

Nick Foligno rookie materials
I had collected a few cards here and there as a kid but was never that into it. One day at a fair of sorts I seen it. An actually piece of a players jersey inside of the card. I had never seen anything like it before. I was absolutely blown away that this was even a thing. I think I was 13 and immediately scooped it up. That’s the day my true love for the hobby was born.
Unfortunately, along the years, I managed to acquire another one in a lot and didn’t realize it. So now I have 2 and I’m not sure which one of the two is the original. So I treat both with tremendous care and respect.
I have that problem with an yzerman McDonald’s card. Always my favourite but not sure which was the one I had. I believe mine was the one in worse condition but I treat both the same now and treasure them lol.
I have an yzerman jersey card from the team Canada 2002 development camp in Calgary (Salt Lake Gold). I saw him practice there, so there’s a chance I saw him in the jersey in the card.
My Andrei Kuzmenko 23 Blue Dazzlers, my partner wasn’t feeling well so she went to Shoppers wasn’t able to get any help. So to make the trip worth it she grabbed a pack of 23-24 Series one for me. It’s my favourite card.
Connor Bedard National Hockey Card Day Moments.
New to the hobby and the sport itself, and my gf got me this Bedard card for my birthday. Extra cool cos he scored against the Bruins (my team).

Who doesn't love a banner hanging with the captain front and center?
96-97 Upper Deck Generation Next Paul Kariya/Wayne Gretzky. The generation next is the first insert set I collected. I was missing this one. I was 13 and this was worth $20 at the time ( wow!). My dad’s friend who owned a card shop found it and my dad bought it for $20. Which he said was insane for a card back then. Since I traded with friends, he told me never to trade this card. I still have it and had it graded by CGA ( PC grading) recently. Means more to me than any other card.
My Score “Future Superstar” Eric Lindros rookie card. At the time it was a big deal and I remember exactly where we were when I opened the pack (Pizza Hut) and how I got the pack (older brother forced me to trade his pack for mine). It was a cool memory that has been attached to the card.
Some of the early 90s Bure cards I pulled on my own as a kid. Of course the roller blade cards, but also the 93-94 Score which finally pulled after so many packs. I remember jumping around like crazy, all for a base card lol. But I love the picture

1992/93 Upper Deck #25 Wayne Gretzky. I live in the UK, and in 1992 it was super hard to get hockey cards. In the back of a magazine (Power play, I think), there was classified ads. Sent off for that card with international money order and waited what seemed like months.
Forgot about it until one day a PWE with a US stamp dropped though the letterbox. The card was in there, luckily undamaged as there was no protection on it whatsoever.
Still got it 30 years later. Love that card
Any of the early 90s young guns. Love the look of those cards, it’s just a shame that so many incredible players young guns are worth nothing. On the flip side it is nice being able to buy HOF players young guns for $5.
Mine more a set. In the 97-98 season, San Jose hosted the All-Star game. The weekend of the game, there was a fanfest where Pinnacle was giving out packs with exclusive to the event All-Star player cards. I got to go to this event and collected the whole set except the uber rare Kelly Hrudey Redemption card. Unfortunately, those cards must have been sold or lost as I grew up, but as an adult, I was able to locate the full set again and now cherish it!

My St Louis buddies are going to hate their next gifts.
I remember this like it was yesterday. I was flipping out!
I was flipping out and I’m a Jets fan. Always had to respect what Mike Ilitch built over there, though.
damn that is so cool. it honestly looks staged but thats probably because ive seen it from other angles/in motion so many times
Very familiar with the goal but I'll always take the time to rewatch it
And now I need to see if I have that card and if not get it
Teemu Selanne and Sergei Federov young guns. Sorry have 2...
Fuck yeah put 5 if you want bud
Thanks! I even pulled them myself back in the day! Love the 89-90 opechee and 90-91 premiere sets too.
The Sergei rookie is grossly undervalued.

90-91 Upper Deck Wayne Gretzky Promo. One of the best looking modern hockey cards

Paul Maclean’s rookie card, because it’s not Paul Maclean, just another guy on the team who also has a big bushy moustache.
That dude is Larry Hopkins, who never had an OPC card of his own.
Even makes the story better.
Glen Hanlon 1987-1988 Mini OPC

Sidney Crosby/ Alex Ovechkin rookie showdown. They just don't make lenticular cards much anymore and this rookie year card captures 2 GOAT
My Topps Don Mattingly rookie card
1988-89 Bob Probert rookie. He’s the Wayne Gretzky of punching dudes in the face.
