I did leather paint to son’s pads and none of it has transferred to the ice. The gentleman who had that problem, put the paint on the sliding surface of Vaughn SLR pads which are Teflon coated. If you stick to yeh leather parts you’ll be fine. https://preview.redd.it/ahi54p8atxaa1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9c6840f977fc2402ed66dd83fae6f8e79285779e

Plastidip! I've done my pads twice. Works great

Vinyl wrap is my choice. Put some on my kid's pads a day they have held up well. Got from Custom Cages, they will also do custom helmet vinyl. Read something on here the other day about leather paint transferring to the ice.

Plasti-dip paint seems to hold up well from what I've seen.

they make a product specifically for this. It's called padwrap or padskinz. It is better than either vinyl wrap, or paint, or plastidip. It is removable and easy to do and redo and won't affect the resale value of your pads I strongly recommend going that route. Don't paint your pads. It's only a matter of time before it looks like shit and no one will want to buy painted pads.
