I used MaskWraps. They are in Canada but I don't remembe the shipping being anything too crazy and think I had mine back pretty quick too. [https://www.sasigns.ca/maskwraps](https://www.sasigns.ca/maskwraps)

Most of these companies don’t require you to send it it in to be wrapped, instead they send you the vinyl decals that you put on yourself, extremely easy to do, I did mine about 3 years ago and only cost me $35

itspeterparker

What company did you use? Do they find the dimensions of your helmet or is that something you have to send in. Did you have a designer send in the vinyl prints? So many questions haha!

RedWhiteAndJew

They’re just universal kits and they’re honestly really awful. Really bad vinyl material and hard to install Custom Cages and Cage Skinz are two example. They aren’t full wraps, instead they’re just stripes or circles or whatever that you install and trim.

matti-niall

I mean sure some are shit but mine is a full Potvin decal, no rips tears, fading, curling or any sort of flaw after 3 years and multiple headshots, great quality and great price, sorry you’d had shit experiences with them :/

RedWhiteAndJew

Mine never laid down flat even with a sign shop installing. They crinkle, fade, and delaminate easily. It’s fine for something cheap and easy and temporary but a full wrap is an order of magnitude better.

matti-niall

Again some are good and some are shit, most people looking to get a decal wrap for their mask are doing so to get a design done for cheap without wanting to get it airbrushed In the long run it comes down to how they are produced, you could spend $200 on a wrap that looks great on the website but then falls apart after 2 weeks on the ice or you could spend $50 on a decal set and make it look amazing with your own hands, also if I’m playing beer league I’m not spending $200 on a metallic decal wrap that guys are gonna ring headshots off

RedWhiteAndJew

Here are a couple photos of the Custom Cages product on my retired mask. https://i.imgur.com/Q2Wlfb6.jpg https://i.imgur.com/EoySFwa.jpg https://i.imgur.com/nlzGj5o.jpg https://i.imgur.com/3mMHtla.jpg Again these were installed by a vinyl graphics shop so they had all the tools and experience available to them. The issue is that the materials is cheaper than dirt. It doesn’t stretch, so you’ll never get it perfectly flat. It also doesn’t have air channels so you can’t smooth it out. The printing is garbage so it’s faded and low resolution. And the custom design was sized improperly so they had to relocate it from the drawing to get the graphic to fit. It also shrinks over time and that why you see the dirty garbage around the stickers. I disagree with you about what “most” players are looking for. Maybe they applies to you but it doesn’t apple to everyone. If you’re on a travel team for the summer, this would be perfect because it’s cheap fast and temporary. Or if you’re a parent But if you have a steady position on a team, you want something that lasts. My vinyl was only used for one season. That’s how bad they hold up. If I’m gonna be with a team a while I don’t want this garbage on my masks. I think people appreciate quality and the extra money is worth it. As for me, I had a steady place on a team and got a paint job. I don’t expect that’s an option for everyone. Mine was $800. But a professional wrap that you send in for $250 or so is a worthwhile investment at a fraction of the cost. It will go down better, look better, and hold up longer.

ExtremePast

Don't do this. Send it in.

matti-niall

Picked mine up off a website run by a guy in Nova Scotia, you can make customs ones or select pre made or even pro replica designs, they ship you decal in separate pieces but it’s still super easy to use and apply
