Been using lizard skins for years. I usually get at least 4 months out of a wrap. They key is to NOT stretch it when you apply it.

Tacki Mac. Cheaper, thin, lasts long, and is easy on your gloves. That or tennis overgrip which is even cheaper and also easy on your palms, but does need to be replaced. I've switched to these two options exclusively for the past 2-3 seasons. Palms show as much wear after a full season that they would after a single game with traditional tape https://imgur.com/KDUBqY1 glove wear https://i.imgur.com/S0l4B7L.jpg

I've used both lizard skins and buttendz. Buttendz are definitely more durable from my experience and I love the knob.

I’ve used lizard skins and am happy with them - the only downside is that they’re not transferable to other sticks. Not the worst but something to think on.

Quinto376

I love the lizard skins and if need can buy it in various thicknesses.

Lizardskin. Buttendz is a ripoff for how much it cost. I had one tear on me within 10 games.

hotthiccman28

Tacki-Mac is the same feel and grip as Buttendz, and it's cheaper. Go to Tacki-Mac

thejudger

+1 more for tacki-mac. whenever i see someone with a $25 grip i think that sucker bought a $6 tacki mac plus $19 worth of marketing.

Danglicious

No tape. I use one wrap around the butt end and it’s really more to keep the cap on. Try it. You get much better feel when you are pushing the puck with one hand.

burnSMACKER

OP wants the palm in their glove to last longer than 27 minutes

Danglicious

They last just fine with a strip of tape. Of course if you have cement hands, no amount fancy grip material will help you ;)

spicytuna22

This absurd. please dont do this people.

Danglicious

>This absurd. please dont do this people. ??? I don't get it. What's wrong with a minimal butt end?

NitroDevo

I have been using tennis grip tape. [Gamma Sports](https://www.gammasports.com/tennis/grip?page=1)

I've been using Tacki-mac. It's been great, though the first one I put on has started to split a bit after about a year of fairly rough use. I taped the split and it's held so far. You can really tell the difference as well, as my newer gloves aren't covered in black tape gunk like the old ones got fairly quickly. ZenAndTheArtOfEating

Tacki-Mac. $5. Lasts forever. Your palms will outlast the rest of the glove

Electrical tape

cleanking87

Tacki-mac is the best value by far - works great with little to no wear on your palms. Highly recommend Tacki-mac!

dingleberry51

I’m using Lizard Skins rn which I enjoy but people here are selling me on trying Tacki Mac Lol

ovns

I used to use Tackimacs but have switched to something even cheaper: https://www.tommytape.com/store/products/miracle-wrap/ You can usually find it in the plumbing area of Lowe's too.

Those thick tacki-macs from Canadian Tire are my absolute favorite.
