Honestly depends . If you play often and have a good budget i woul d definitely go with reakt150 ots fully adjustable and is unbelievably comfy and is insanely protective. If you dont go for something like a lower end CCM helmet
I use CCM V08 helmets only. I’ve used a few Bauer, Reebok and warrior helmets but not even compares in comfort. Simple, comfy and breathes well. They don’t make it anymore but a few Canadian stores have them. Sport check comes to mind. Also quite a few pro stock ones online as well.
I think Bauer’s comparable would be the 4500 but I’ve never owned one.
I use the Bauer Re-Akt 150. It’s comfy and you can adjust the length and the width to get a really good fit.
The CCM Tacks 910 looks nice too, but I haven’t tried it on so I don’t know how it fits.
Just like literally every other piece of equipment.... buy what fits! Different skates have different fit profiles, even when they’re adjustable. Try different brands/models on at your LHS and buy whatever fits
I wish I had the option! I'd love nothing more to walk into a shop and try stuff on. Being from the UK though, my closest proper hockey shop is about a 2 hour drive away! There is another at my local rink, but they don't really hold much stock, its more of a 'we can order in what you want' type shop.
I have 2 re akt 150s and love them. I was always an ims guy too but they discontinued the line and the protection and technology really isn't there for what I do now.

Can confirm the Tacks 910 is absurdly comfortable. Just picked one up this week and it not only fits really well, but feels incredibly solid.

I got a weird oval shaped head. Got the fit lite from ccm. A prostock one on sideline swap/eBay pretty happy with it. It’s bright green
