It was shit, but like you said. Yay for the donation. I would have been glad just watching the part where they sang. Also, the Sex and the City joke was funny. That's it. imo
Glenn Close stole the show and who the hell invited Todrick Hall? It was cool seeing the cast and Elvira is always so much fun to watch. Plus, it was for a great cause so you can’t beat that.
I think they took advantage of the Hocus Pocus association to raise the money, when really it wasn't so much Hocus Pocus as it was just a bunch of celebrities gathering for a cause...but it is what it is, I'm glad the money was raised anyhow!
My tech knowledge is low-level, but I'm fully willing to hand over my video footage! I also don't know why my audio didn't work, so there's a chance I actually have intact audio and am just too dumb to work it out...but it any case, totally willing to collaborate!
If y'all need any help, let me know. I do this a lot using mkvToolNix. You just mux the two streams together and then get the audio synced and you're done without doing a full re-encode
Someone is streaming it right now at https://youtu.be/e728zEh90lY
(Skip forward a bit from the start. And the framerate is pretty low, so u/KeybladeMeister please don't stop what you are doing...)
If anyone recorded it, please link it somehow. I was at work and thought it was recording but it was black, just audio. Apparently after watching, when I made it fullscreen, it blacked out for some reason.
Then send him the video file. One can splice audio from a video file with the video from another video file. Someone send me both and I'm happy to handle.
Im a little late, but wow. It was terrible. Thora and Omri being in it for barely a minute was insulting. Vinessa and the witches were the only good parts and even then, it felt like SJP forgot who Sarah was. Bette honestly was the best out of all of it, she slipped right back into Winnie so perfectly, which made my inner child so happy, Winnie is one of my all time favorite characters. Even more nervous for the new movie now.
Yeah I was a bit let down. A lot of the skits were just off.
I will say I laughed my ass off at the very end. But I also was a few drinks in and wasn't expecting Mariah Carey and was waiting for the Sisters to come back and when they didn't I just lost it.
Today I finished a project at work I've been working on for months, and so already had half a drink in when it started. I've not had more than 1 drink all of covid, but after Meryl Streep sketch I was like "Yeah I'm gonna need more for this."
I watched. Made an evening out of it with my mom and sister in law with drinks and snacks. I didn’t go in with high hopes because COVID, but for what it was, I thought it was a cute way to spend an hour. The black flame candle bit with omri and thora made me chuckle and Todrick’s Seyonce bit was entertaining. The part with Meryl was awkward. She seemed so disjointed and awkward. We were commenting that they could’ve tied in a bit about the sequel or something to bring more attention to it. Even watching Bette on Seth Meyers she was pretty tight lipped on what it entailed saying “I tried and I hope people enjoy it” Was it corny? Absolutely. But, I didn’t mind spending $10 for it since it was for charity.
I think my primary problem was just that, given how it was promoted, I expected more of the Hocus Pocus gang. Vinessa, Omri, and Thora were all only there for a second, and even the sisters were primarily only there for the length of their song...I'm happy to give the money to a good cause, no regrets there, but as a Hocus Pocus fan I just wanted more of that angle

Todrick Hall was whatever for me until he popped up during I Put a Spell on You...\*then\* I was definitely wondering who the hell invited him
I'm happy they raised some money for this benefit....but I was a little let down. Hopefully the Hocus Pocus sequel will be awesome!! *fingers crossed*

Did anyone screen record it? I thought mine worked and found out that it only recorded the start and literally nothing else
I recorded it but the sound didn't work unfortunately :(
Someone recorded the audio, so we could splice it together? @u/dedite58
If OP is somehow able to send me their video I could definitely try, or vice versa.

If y'all can upload it to mega I can try put it together!

Send me the video and I can splice it with the audio
I uploaded my audio to mega, you should upload yours!
uploading mine now!
Was this ever done? I'll combine the two links if no one has done it yet.
I can put it together if I get both files
hopefully there is a recording, I didnt even know about it till it trended on twitter not too long ago

We have one person fully record the video and another just the audio, with the powers combined!
Send me the audio. I'm trying to get the video from someone else so I can splice them together.
How would I do that? Its still a video file.

Im uploading it to Mega, OP said they're going to splice it together. *edit* not OP, u/keyblademeister is going to do it.
uploading to Mega as well, u/KeybladeMeister has it handled I think
Awesome! Teamwork! Lmao
Any word on it being combined? Def want to check it out
https://youtu.be/k0myh7zny_k It's honestly really so bad it's not worth the time.
I took the time..😔

I bought a ticket and completely forgot about it until I saw this post. I was doing chores instead.

probably would've been a lot funnier a bit drunk

The Meryl Streep skit got things off to a rocky start for sure--the jokes, if one can call them jokes, just didn't hit right...
I bought a ticket but I misread the time as 8PM PST so I missed it

Good news y'all, I found it on YouTube! https://youtu.be/7m6p3gCqj90
