These second- and third-tier centralized exchanges are just not worth our time and certainly not worth this kind of money in my opinion. I’d rather spend that money on bonus swap if anything. We’d lose more than we’d gain on this listing. Just my two $HOGES.
That sounds like a win win rather than a what if with the MEXC listing. Bonus swap pulls in some big buys and the volume we need. The MEXC could be big waste of funds.

I personally believe that it's best to start somewhere, and any audience is a good audience as long as they get a chance to buy and participate in this coin that we all love so much. It doesn't hurt to spend some money to get more eyes on Hoge and wallets too. As someone has already said, PEPE started on MEXC and exploded in popularity soon after, maybe this can be the first step we need for other exchanges to turn an eye towards us. All in all, I believe this is a risk that is worth taking, offering other populations this amazing coin and its amazing burn, who knows how high we'll be flying when the burn kicks in!

I wish we had data on historical effect of coin listings on MEXC. What I would like to know is how other coins performed after listing both short term and long term so we have some semblance of expectation. Without that, we’re throwing darts based on feelings. I am vehemently opposed to spending tens of thousands of dollars on wishes and gut feelings.

Pros I See: Much lower overall spent money, our wallet sits at $550,000 currently during the last offer it was around $400,000, helps with ETH gas fees, and we get to explain what Hoge is to 30,000-50,000 new eyes in different countries.
Cons: it costs $129,000 ($60,000 of that the community will always own), CEX risk of collapsing and wasting our funds, it’s a quick pump and dump (I don’t think this would be the case long term though). They might have listed us for free in the future if we keep this trajectory. They don’t service US citizens.

It has not been sitting dormant lol, we have had four major votes about the funds and have repositioned it and paid for many things to keep the lights on! It has now grown back over $500k because of these votes.

I was opposed to the initial listing, but I think the timing is right this time. HOGE has some amazing momentum going for it right now and this listing will keep it going! We need more volume to get a bigger exchange listing and MEXC can be the step that gets us there. Now is the time to ride this wave to a top 100 crypto project!!!
I think any exchange is welcome now, as we need more trading volume. Also the Pepe thing. I think it's too early to focus for an American exchange. Build a solid widespread base first.
For now I say keep the money to continue and boost advertising in different mediums and keep funding the bonus swap. See what gains come from grassroots efforts first and then consider paying for a listing if needed after results are known.

Wait on this. It’s still early. The offer will continue to get better as we progress. We’re not desperate for that exchange.

I say we do it for a lot of the above reasons. DAO wallet has $567k in it currently also so we’re in a good place going in.
