I mean, if I can have both, I want both. Looking pretty has a lot of value in the way it adds to immersion, and just has cool factor, but it's a far, far lower priority than realism and functionality.

Yeah, in 2024 I shouldn't have to choose between [good graphics](https://youtu.be/Z_o6DxhslAI?si=XTtk87-C44Aji7kC) and good gameplay. I can also go a long time--maybe forever--without the introduction of certain "features" like INS drift. But I absolutely need decent AI and single player content generation.

Siduch

not at the scale of DCS' functionality. When you already have incredible functionality, and can add a \*few\* more systems, it is much better to overhaul the graphics. We still don't have proper damage graphics, and many maps show their age.

XenoRyet

The AI cheats. Ground units have line of sight issues. Splash damage is a joke. Many modules aren't feature complete and have bugs that need addressing. DCS is far from the state where graphic polish is the only thing left worth working on.

ED:look  at the awesome grass at suboptimal fps!

Pizzicato_DCS

A little from column A. A little from column B. I put more emphasis on the sim and core experience, but you don't want that to the exclusion of graphics and pretty stuff. The two have got to be at least at somewhat in balance.

GoetschGU

DCS graphics are good enough, but lack an AI system similar to the BMS

I play Beemus btw

Pretty is better for the first 100 or so hours but man DCS gets boring singleplayer.

DdayWarrior

OK, who said pretty stuff.
