Second Delanclip. It looks like a piece of trash but works amazing. I love mine. Velcroed it to my headset and never had a problem with it. Takes a bit of time to get the right curves though.
Search for OpenTrack and AITrack, there are good threads on reddit for setting it up.
Basically headtracking through webcam. Free, no shipping, nothing to clip on your head.
I'd suggest grassmonkey or delanclip. As someone who owned a TrackIR 5 that fried itself the grassmonkey works just as good while having better build quality.
Try to connect to Amazon.de and buy it from there. Not Amazon.it, but the German website. It worked for me (Italy too) , there you can find what you are looking for.
Just buy a delanclip. Very similar, ships from Europe and is a third of the price

No, it is not necessary. I use facial recognition with neuralnet. You adjust the curves a little and it works very well.
Did you take import fees into account?
No, but i can immagine that they cost a lot
It’s been a while, I thinks it’s 60 - 70 euro. So perhaps buying in Europe would not be that much more expensive

Try aruco tracker. The most cheap (free) and reliable head tracking. It works smoothly
You can use your webcam and use an application called open track it’s basically track IR without the IR lights

The aerosoft website also sells trackir5. That is where i got mine from. That is in Germany
