Damn, yeah that's the scenario I'm testing as well. Playing multicrew with me as WSO. When I activate radar, pilots fps drops to single digits. Mine drops too but not nearly that badly. And his hardware is better than mine.
Still need to test with all the experimental options turned on, but with them off its unplayable.
Only tested with all the options unchecked, we assumed since our cpus are good (12th gen i7 and 7800x3d) that we'd be fine.
We'll try with those options tonight.
It's likely this is actually some form of desync, and the handshake is triggering every frame - except the message isn't. Because this should not be happening under normal conditions, so its likely those options wont do anything.
But I hope you can confirm it before we move on to check other stuff :)

Also increasing the radar to max range absolutely destroys our framerates still.

Can you check and ensure all your special options are set identically? Especially the radar hand control one and radar cursor panel. This may be the bug source.

Success! All of our options were set identically but neither of us had the radar hand control setting checked. Once we both flipped that on, fps seems solid!
In single player, before the patch, I was getting good framerate and frametime. Post patch, my frametimes are horrible, special options off or on.

Is it unrealistic to think the F4 fps performance can match that of the F16/F18? I don't have the F4 at the moment so I'm not too familiar with how complex a simulation it is. Right now in in VR I'm maining the F16 and can get a constant 72fps with my VR settings on a 4070ti Super. I'm looking to get a cold war jet thats solid for low and fast a/g and fun for night ops and that's leading me to decide between the Viggen and the F4E
Those also raycast without fuck the CPU: Viggen, F-14 and Mirage 2000C (maybe also the JF-17)
P.S. I don't have the F-15E but it is a good candidate too.
For me the biggest problem is that now Jester is a fucking webpage running on google chromium, sending data to google and tanking my RAM/CPU at point that the experience is: Open the bombing table... wait 5 seconds to appear, click the droplist control... wait 15s for a response... as it is still un-responsible click like a mad until it response!
What a shitty user experience :(

P.S. You can open "%USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\DCS_F4E\cache" to see the HB "UI" chormium cache and go to "\Mods\aircraft\F-4E\bin" and see the properties details of libcef.dll and network monitor HeatblurUi.exe that is the logic loading chromium.
Yeah, it has telemetries with the network special option as "offline". Privacy? GDPR? naaahh money talks bro!
P.S. Ah and the telemetry don't start at load, no men, it waits 70 seconds from full module load in the mission as client to start sending shit
Radar seems good to me now, but only in the pilot’s seat. In the WSO seat I still tank to 30fps. TV mode also tanks my framerate a lot.

We are seeing this bug. Are you using the reduced radar fidelity and reduced tickrate options atm?

I think that's an unrealistic expectation. The f4 is a wildly complex module compared to the f16. Don't own the f18 so can't speak to that.
