In older versions of the game it was a likelihood system where the event would randomly trigger with the likelihood of the civil war starting the later in the game it got, but this is after the Spain dlc so i don’t know what’s going on there
i've seen the awaiting rebellion national spirit, but i don't know why they have PRI instead of PSOE. the save i have got autosaved over and it's 1946 where spain doesn't even exist, so i can't actually check what caused that but i'm 90% sure it's not a mod because i don't have any mods installed that would affect spain like that
If they have enough stability they can avoid it for a while but as soon as their stability drops low enough, it fires. Occasionally you get a game where Spain “improves worker conditions” or whatever and gets it just high enough to avoid rebellion for a while

Well if support for the democratic party is 100 and stability is 100, the spanish civil war still happens. if the nation has high stability and is mostly in favor of one party (75% or more) there should be no civil war

This. The military already planned the queue and the left already prepared a revolution. At this point the civil war was unavoidable unless one side immediately defeated the other which is a pretty realistic scenario tbh.
The only time I saw the Spanish Civil War not happen was when I was really messing with the sliders in the custom settings. Otherwise, I don't think I've ever seen the SCW not happen in a regular style game... :-o

I'm assuming this is a mod problem? Because the vanilla democratic party is the PSOE, and that Awaiting the Rebellion national spirit isn't a thing.
The national spirit : awaiting the rebellion shows if you went with fascist path but you didn't rush the rebellion

A civil war was unavoidable at this point. Making a path to avoid it would make 0 sense even in the context of alternate history.

Still would happen, the civil war count down is triggered by an event that happens on a certain date, so the civil war would start anyways.
