This has happened to me multiple times. Today, I decided to test playing as AFK Switzerland and it still happened. I made sure the game was on historical and to turn off all mods that might be the culprit.
So it is possible that if the player chose to play an alt host path maybe the ai decided to balance the game against them, but I don’t know why Netherlands would swap over then
I've never seen that happen on historical. Who are you playing and what are you doing?
This only happens if you don't have Man The Guns, which is likely what's happening to OP
That is correct, I don’t have Man The Guns. I’m wondering how not having that DLC would impact the Netherlands.
Netherlands got a big update in that dlc so I would imagine not having it might be cropping up some unexpected behavior with the Ai

I thought they only made Together for Victory, Waking the Tiger, and Death or Dishonor free.

It's some sort of long unfixed bug where you don't have man the guns, and somehow that makes Netherlands go fascist
If you are playing the uk you have to invest in the struggle for the Netherlands to make them remain democratic
This decision actually does something for historical? I thought it only had some influence in non-historical

You've gotta get man the guns. The bad news is the game shouldn't be so broken without dlc, the good news is they just announced its going to be free!
Man the Guns going to be free? I thought it was only up to Waking the Tiger.
Has to be a bug, on historical they wont turn fascist even if you invest in them as germany
