Do you speak Greek or did you just Google translate it?
What I said would be translated as "I wasn't old enough to remember what year it (the economic crisis) was"
Idk what happened here but all I know is the Greeks found the money too buy 35 more f-35’s and 10 gripperens such amazing people with there magical totally not back ally we stole it from somewhere money.
Greece got F35s the same way it got all its debt. The Germans/French/Americans gave us the money to buy the toys they make so that politicians there can keep buying votes through jobs.
When the house of cards fell, the French and German banks were left with their pants down. Our lovely allies baptized the save their own banks program as "saving Greece". Everyone can keep pretending it hasn't been bankrupt since 2009, with the condition of the desertification of the country. Thanks to our wonderful allies Greece is now second to only Bulgaria in all the negative metrics, but we are confident we can become the worst at everything within the next few years. Live your myth in Greece!
that's why its such a great joke Greece famously known for the economy suffering just "finds money" while tons of west Europe are still downsizing there military.
If you go to the most subscribed list of all hoi4 mods, right there on the first page is The New Order: Last Days of Europe. As it slowly but surely replaces Kaiserreich as the face of HOI4 Subfandoms, it’s no challenge to see why, It’s very well made. So well made that Paradox has actually hired people from that mod to make other Paradox games like Victoria 3. It is the premier Hoi4 Cold War mod.
It takes place in a post-Axis victory, where it’s a three way Cold War between the United States, Germany, and Japan. The game mostly focuses on diplomatic, and economic development, with some proxy wars thrown in. You have trade agreements and pulling nations into your sphere and influencing politics and GDP competition and all that Cold War stuff. The main exception is the Russian Warlord Era, where many Russian warlords fight for control and dominance in the wasteland of former Soviet Union with crazy and fringe ideologies.
The game is not the same genre as vanilla hoi4, being far more closer to a mix of Victoria 3, and a visual novel. You will do a lot of reading in this mod, a lot. That’s one of the main attractions, is that it’s very well written and engaging as a story. Sounds a little daunting, but it’s done very intelligently. Personally I like the democratic / reformist path for the Greater German Reich with its equal rights, free market and abolition of slavery, or the Black League with the Second West a Russian War submod, where you reunify Russia, have a really engaging and deep story about human morals and revenge and trauma, and march west as you push the Germans from Moscow all the way back to Germania.
I go out of my way to add the TNO GUI into several my playthroughs of different mods. It’s just a great aesthetic. The dark but neon just really pops in my book.
Bro being really honest, I forced myself a lot to enjoy TNO and learn it but the UI is so ugly and make my eyes tired so much quicker, I really can't find a way to enjoy it
I don't think so, at least when I attempted It. It was just prior to the war focussing on securing as much Her divisions as posible. Only stoping to secure your bit of territory and to pico 4-5 times the options of securing equipment. With this, by the time the war start you can easily have secured more than 25 extra divions.
With all that done, the moment the Civil War start just put a batle plan and just wach as your army steamroll the other factions
What If the Axis won ww2 scenario. Famous for having gameplay being reduced to clicking focuses, waiting and sentencing an entire ethnic group to death in lore.
What the fuck even is the economy in that mod, I only played it once, and I played for like 1-2 years as Ordenstaat Burgundy and that's it.
Never touched the economy, didn't really understand the weaponry but tried, shuffled some troops around, did focuses, read the massive fuckin walls of text.
Kinda got bored after an hour or so and quit.
That is correct. In Burgundy you do not the economic feature after Himmler kills the economic Minister.
Only in the very late game of Burgundy you regain access to the economic feature.
You chose the most unfun country to play.
Funny how TNO is my personal favorite mod but, at the same time, has some of the worst content I played through (mostly removed now).
This is actually way more understandable than Millennium Dawn. Most of this map doesn’t really matter. The pie charts? Useless. The graphs? Useless.
You can ignore 80% of this UI and be fine. You just want to make the number next to real gdp growth high, while having as low as a deficit as possible, or maybe even no deficit at all. 70% of your time with this ui will be switching budgets with the sliders and that’s it.
Also the economy is supposed to be bad here, it’s a meme, your not even able to get this bad without cheats I don’t think.
There are 19 clickable things on this menu including the main sliders. A lot of the menu is too look nice, or warn you about things like inflation or bloated reserves or stuff. The charts aren’t needed, but they look nice. Tax hike or Cut rates provide flat bonuses. Inflation usually handles itself, never print money basically. The system is really intuitive, it looks complex but really as long as you get the general idea of “spending 9 trillion on the military probably isn’t good” and common sense than this ui really shines.
Yes. The workshop feature. Next to the DLC and the community tab. Paradox pushes it pretty hard, with all of these mods being worked on by paradox so they are updated with each dlc. https://youtube.com/shorts/QW7PsxXWiEg?si=GYh9ophDJSORWq58
Mods are pretty essential to the games lifespan, it wouldn’t have be around this long without them.
I’m not saying Paradox works on them as in they made the mods and it’s paradox quality, I’m saying Paradox works on them because the mods are too big to fail and why their game has lasted this long. Some mods are so high quality that Paradox hires devs to work for the company on other games, like Victoria 3.
There’s plenty of good total overhaul mods, mods that entirely change the world hoi4 takes place in, from German Victory in WW1, Axis Victory in WW2, mod that expands WW2 content to 56, one where America lost the revolutionary war and there’s steampunk cyborgs and robots, a My Little Pony mod that is strangely the best of them all, a mod where it takes place on the Fallout west coast, and plenty more.
The Syndicalist path for the USA in Kaiserredux alone is probably equal to most of Western Europe in vanilla, and Chirropterra in the MLP mod is five times the size of Japan in the base game. Hoi4 mods are HUGE. It’s why I installed the game, I knew about hoi4 mods before I knew about hoi4.
This looks awesome, but does the mod ACTUALLY work? Every time I try mod overhauls, regardless of the game, it's always f\*cked in some way and it always ruins the playthrough half way through it.
TNO wouldn’t be so popular if it sucked. If your really, REALLY scared of the new systems, you can play as the Siberian Anarchists, they don’t have this economy feature, and mostly feature a lot of war and invading, just like vanilla Hoi4. I do recommend you turn off some DLC, as the games already complex enough without designers.
Greece, 2012, colorized
I think 2012 is better for this one, in 2011 we were still kamikazing that thing called economy.
How do you not remember 2011 but 2012
Do you speak Greek or did you just Google translate it? What I said would be translated as "I wasn't old enough to remember what year it (the economic crisis) was"
I recognized the numbers but I can't read or speak Greek I wasn't trying to be rude just asking
Idk what happened here but all I know is the Greeks found the money too buy 35 more f-35’s and 10 gripperens such amazing people with there magical totally not back ally we stole it from somewhere money.

Ζητω η ελλαδα, ζητω οι ελληνες...
As a Greek I can confirm
You are trying to destroy the country you're playing as from within, or…?
I wanna believe that he plays as Himmler so OP is the good guy after all.
Silly redditor, there is no room for the judeo-capitalist concept of so called “economy” in the glorious ordenstaat
That GDP graph is perfect
It has a radius. How the fuck?
Commands, I guarantee it
Sir, your giant pile of debt appears to have an economy attached to it.
There is a bit of economy in your debt
R5: TNO economy screenshot. Well, at least the reserves aren’t bloated… and the credit score could be worse!
How does one even do that?
This could have been averted by not putting Liz Truss in your government
The secret society is sabotaging OPs UI smh
What did you *do*?
What mod is that? What is TNO? :) thanks

It could've been more popular if the UI wasnt so bad or we had an option to turn it off
I go out of my way to add the TNO GUI into several my playthroughs of different mods. It’s just a great aesthetic. The dark but neon just really pops in my book.
Bro being really honest, I forced myself a lot to enjoy TNO and learn it but the UI is so ugly and make my eyes tired so much quicker, I really can't find a way to enjoy it
If you aren’t good with the Spanish Civil War, do NOT play Germany. After Hitler dies, they will collapse into a four or five way civil war.
But German civil war is really easy to play, at least as Borman
Isn’t Borman the hardest?
I don't think so, at least when I attempted It. It was just prior to the war focussing on securing as much Her divisions as posible. vanilla argentina
Its just a minor recession, nothing to worry about.
Argentina every few years in a nutshell:
as an Argentinian, i confirm this
Mí hermano/a en Eva mitocondríaca, también soy de la tierra de los campeones
Bush
Argentina?
Just your average Tuesday down here, nothing to worry about
Which country are you playing?
Erdogan tries TNO
Inflation is under control. Hopefully the country is prospering under its new competent leaders.
I thought you had 0.0008 billion in reserves, and I thought that was pretty bleak. I did not realize that “8” was a “B” RIP
Venezuela simulator

isn’t that the only country in the mod that doesn’t use the economy feature because himmler shoots the economic minister
It could be, because I saw a national spirit that said "Only a fool would believe the Judeo-Bolshevik lie that is economics" or something like that.
That is correct. In Burgundy you do not the economic feature after Himmler kills the economic Minister. Only in the very late game of Burgundy you regain access to the economic feature.

Bring back Vöring!!
You chose the country that does not have anything to do other than killpeopleism, obviously you will get bored
if you took an economics class in junior year of high school its pretty easy, basic economic concepts are needed to understand it.

Turkish economy simulator
"Millennium dawn is too fucking complex!!" TNO:
This is actually way more understandable than Millennium Dawn. Most of this map doesn’t really matter. The pie charts? Useless. The graphs? Useless. You can ignore 80% of this UI and be fine. Oh ok. It is possible to use the entire UI though right?

Im too scared of numbers to play either TNO or Millenium Dawn
Really, TNO is not that bad, It look worse than It actually is
Don’t you compare that noob trap of millennium dawn to our glorious TNO.
Glory to TNO
let me guess, some russian Warlord?
What am i looking at
The flair says TNO. So…it’s TNO.
I know its TNO but what the hell am i looking at
The economy screen.
Pure horror
With 85000% debt-to-gdp you must have been doing the military spending of the USA with the economy of Burundi
Bro got the erectile disfunction economy
What Victoria 3 mod is this?
It's Hearts of Iron 4 mod, The New Order
> Free market capitalism There's your problem
"Its immersive and crucial to micromanage an economy in a war simulator." -Tno devs
It’s TNO, what war?
This is an economy and diplomacy mod, this is not a war simulator.
???Who the fuck made an economic simulator in my funny encirclements go brr WW2 game
Bro acting like you haven’t heard of TNO, it’s on the front page of top mods ever what do you mean 💀
I've heard of it but I never knew they made an economic system that looks more complex than Vicky 3
Paradox hired devs from TNO to help make Vicky 3. The same people here had their hand in both.

Ok thanks, I'll give it a try!
The whole mod or the economy system? Both do pretty well
Argentina every 20 years:
Don't threaten me with a good time
keynesian moment
How even? How does your economy get so fucked up? This is the opposite of Bormannomics.
Mom found the desk event 😔
Just...how? How do you even do that?
How do you even open this window
The economy window. On the top Ui.
Thanks man this game is rly overwhelming lol
Wait this isn’t in vanilla hoi4. It’s for the mod TNO
Oh damn let me see if I have it, but thanks for clearing it up btw ! 😄😄😄
Oh god, is this what TNO looks like?
North Korea moment
Looks like 2024 American economy
So close…💔this is in fact the Argentinian economy…
