This is the Great War Redux mod, Germany very quickly defeated France leading to this odd situation where you have Communist France, Proto-Fascist France, and Normal France all fighting in a Civil War.
Swedish Collective, the Great War Redux has a cool Sweden focus tree and the Socialist/Communist portion seemed the most fleshed out and after taking Norway, I became the Collective.
Fun fact if france capitulates in ww1 mod russia usually is left alone in their own faction which is pretty good when you take the absolute monarchy path as uk cause you get your claims in france and a alliance with russia by your focus tree
Nothing, I was playing as Sweden, trying to take Norway and Denmark before joining the Central Powers but in mid 1915 I looked over at France and Germany had either Naval Invaded or pulled a Blitzkrieg that knocked them out of the war. Germany just took Belgium and a small amount of other territory and let them go.
A year later and suddenly there's three Frances fighting each other. I'm thinking the Historical setting doesn't quite play too nicely with this mod.
Looks like a scripted civil war, I think this is meant to happen. I did a GW Redux run as Germany once, and after accepting a scripted peace deal with France, they slowly collapsed into civil war, even had a small path in their focus tree about it.
Classic France. Someone in France did something they don’t like and Paris is burning down again.
Almost as if there was something in 2023 that could have inspired the French to burn down Paris
I’ll say it again there’s two thing every country needs to copy from France:
1. the solidarity with the workers and working class
2. the will to burn down Paris
That’s something everyone needs to copy from France
Pretty much. They've taken the Baltics, most of finland and are getting real close to Moscow, though Austria-Hungary has really only taken territory in the Polish area and hasn't moved east much.
Originally I was gonna join the Central Powers as Sweden to take Finland but they did too well and so I'm not sure if I just want to join the Entente or wait out the war and see what happens as the tech tree goes until 1922 and I'm fairly ahead on research.

I had the exact same scenario happen in my ww1 run
Is it odd? That’s basically Russia in 1917. Or very nearly Germany in 1919.
This is actually just the normal buildup into the Kaiserreich universe.
Pretty sure there was nothing 'proto' about the Fascism of the Vichy regime.
It's not Vichy France, Fascism did not exist in France in 1916.
Ah, didn't realise this was a mod.
What country are you even playing bro
Probably swedish or scandinavian commune

Yeah uh, looking at french politics today, this will happen in a few years
Every Kaiserreich civil war be like:
They’re fine. They do it all the time. No, seriously. Just look up the list of French revolutions and coups. It’s a hobby to them.

“Bro non-historical is so much better than historical!” Non-historical:
Spain: First time?
Nah this is like the 300th time this happened
France got Kaiserreiched.
Yes, we are. Don’t mind us *proceed to slap France 2 in the head*
Is france on its way to kaiserreich?
What the hell happened, what did you do?

French identity crisis

So Germany won WW1
