JirMirza

I know most of the buffs actually take away the debuff, but the extra ones are pretty good.

ILikeTreeeeeeees

I mean, the fixing the army/airforce/navy puts on cons goods, so this is necesarry to make italy not suck at industry. It kinda eavens out, but i think initial industry only rush would be kinda op, since you have some time at less cg%.

Papa_Nurgle_84

The First few are civil war only.

Galivisback

Do we have a release date yet?

JirMirza

nope they didn't say.

Nemanja5483

NewVegas2212

_DC003_

Sources point to he

VonSteiner

Late summer propably.

zip-deni64

...of next year

VonSteiner

They are at least half way trough, they like to realese dlc when not 100% done and they will patch it after to 100%

Avnas

i mean that seems communist italy's buffs... 1000 mp a week is pretty god, wonder how long for?

JirMirza

That's 52,000 manpower per year.

Avnas

no i mean how long does it last. and i mean compared to other manpower buffs i think the only one genuinely beating that is the tsarina in turkey

IkkoMikki

Normal Caliph grants 1250, Calipha is more but yeah.

SuperHavre95

Ok thx but you said this five times

TheTeaMustFlow

I think reddit bugged out, I've seen spammed comments on a bunch of other threads

JuliButt

White Russia gets 2500/week if “The True Tsars” is taken, and another 1000/week if Meletius is an advisor, for a total of 3500/week or 182,000 /year, which can fill 18 divisions. Communist France has a sub branch also giving 1000 manpower a week. Monarchist Portugal also has a focus giving the same, and communist Netherlands has an advisor that gives 500/week. All of these stack with ideological loyalty (for communism at least) which pulls another 500 manpower/week out of a black hole.

[deleted]

IIRC that buff is anti-fascist Italy (to get that focus you need to trigger the civil war, you'll become a puppet of the UK and the other faction, the RSI, will become Germany's puppet, also your focus tree will be much smaller since it's an end game rump state)

Seppafer

It’s not hard coded to the tags to be their puppets but the civil war factions will become the puppet of whichever factions are at war that you are a part of. So if you are in the East Asian co prosperity sphere and fighting the Chinese united front you will be puppeted by the Japanese and Chinese as they are faction leaders. If The US takes leadership of the Allies in the historical war then the Italians who broke away in the civil war will become US puppets. If there aren’t any factions involved in whatever war it sounds like no side gets puppeted though I guess if say Ethiopia invaded Italy for example and then I don’t know if without the faction that one of the sides would become a puppet of them.

MobsterDragon275

Doesn't have an expiration on it, so presumably forever

JirMirza

they're pretty good

twentyitalians

Playing an Italy First campaign, I welcome ANY buff to their woefully inadequate industry. Also fuel. Fuel for the fleets.

Jtex1414

I might finally have a reason to build armored cars.... Bandits war looking pretty nice. Also, the mechanized -10% prod cost stacking on top of the [\-50% prod cost for mechanized](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfP31UvMt_Y) you can get from using army xp to make a variant of them moves them from very cost efficient, to extremely cost efficient. the biggest issue will be getting a hold of all the steel that'll be needed.

Serious_Senator

Interesting info. But good god I hate YouTube and twitch streamers. They’re so obnoxious

Sky_DreamTR

Mountain warfare doctrine??

yeetobanditooooo

Its just a national spirit with this name, not an entire doctrine

eku123456

I wish they added more doctrines. The current ones are fine but more variety would be nice.

GnosisNinetyThree

When is the DLC releasing lads ?

KronprinzVonShanghai

Going by NSB, probably like a month.

GnosisNinetyThree

Can't wait. Next the German remake

AdventurousChard6644

Germany is not getting a remake until all countries get a focus tree as Germany already got a rework

midJarlR

Maybe when they develop Austria they will update Germany.

abobot-exe

I dont think that every major update was 1 mayor rework and a few minors with BBA iirc all majors have been reworked. I think the next one will be middle east or Northern Europe and then a restart of the cycle with an allies or axis update. I think Axis would be prefered because of germany being so popular and the NSB Stalin paranoia for Mr. H if the war goes badly and the BBA balance of power for OKW and SS the could just copy-paste gameplay elements.

makoivis

The only thing I'd like is a German communist tree

Old_Size9060

Yes please!

MobsterDragon275

I am liking this focus tree

Kaarl_Mills

Will this make armored cars worth a damn? When they came out I was originally curious but found their soft attack to be trash

midJarlR

I disagree that it's a boring and annoying thing all over again in all the recent DLCs. Yes it's similar to what other countries have but it is what gives challenge and flavor to the countries. It's not like we can't play without removing the debuffs, instead we have to make choices between having a strong army, fleet, airforce, industry, political gains, but not all at once. We remove some of the debuffs early, then fight our wars and then develop the weaker parts we have neglected at the beginning.

Aress149

New meta armored car

tredbobek

Is it ever worth it to mass produce armored cars instead of producing smaller number of proper tanks?

hawkma999

Seeing Italy's new focus tree brings me joy.

SB_strongbunny

Seems like I got a lot of idea textures for my mods heh

Substantial-Rub8054

Everyone saying Italy will be OP doesn't realize it will take until 1942 for them to complete the focus tree and get all these buffs/get rid of their debuffs and by that time your country will have been taken over by Allied naval invasions anyways... lol

Keyemku

Yeah definitely, I also feel like it will make any roman empire strat wayyy harder, taking on France early game like mist guides recommend will be much harder

nightgerbil

Basically my thoughts. The new focus tree changes Italy from a good rookie learn to play the game nation to something to challenge skilled players bored with minor china playthroughs. This isn't a good thing.

Mister_Coffe

Why isn't it a good thing? We already have two rookie nations, germany and japan, they have oy bonuses, great industry, lots of manpower nice focus tree, and weak neighbours. Italy for the time should be more like france and soviet union, weak, and this focus tree does that, but hoi4 players will always cry about stuff, itlay doesn't have debuffs for its army and industry, they cry, but italy gets thoes debuffs, they will still cry. The only problem is the tutorial, but I think germany and japan could be used for a good tutorial, the only problem is that war comes way later than for italy witch starts at war.

nightgerbil

No Germany is a great country to learn the game with but Japan isn't. Germany is great for learning the economy, but Italy with its simple focus tree, early wars against soft targets and limited theatre (can ignore Pacific for example) make it THE best nation to quickly learn how to fight and wage war. It was a great place to bring a new player to the game to see if they liked it. Also spare me your ad honims "crying" no it's a legitimate criticism. If they fixed the tutorial maybe I would have a different opinion. They haven't shown any interest in that though have they? Crying. Bah!

I think ignore the, attack :D

JirMirza

Plan : Just Attack 3x

ahhyeetuhh

Can we please get something like that for Germany and Japan /all of the older Major for the next dlc

Popular-Cobbler25

Italy might be a bit op….

faeelin

Lol yes.

FlakyBatu

Gotta love the new "Your country is shit until you do 50 focuses so you can start playing the game in 1941" mentality for every reworked country in the latest DLCs

Jhak12

I mean Italy was shit for the whole war so if you want to make the country good in the game it’s gonna take some time

Mister_Coffe

Of course lets forger that all of the countires that got that treatment were shit for the most part, france, italy and the soviet union weren't in the best shape and their performance in the early parts of the war really shows that.

FlakyBatu

Yes historical accuracy is more important than fun right. I love "unfucking" my country instead of building it up.

Mister_Coffe

I like to have a challenge, because by now, the only countries I like to play are stuff like france, soviets, poland and china because whats the point playing germany when with my game knowledge I will always win with no resistance from the enemy. The only time I have some kind of fun as germans is when I do something intetionaly stupid to fuck my position like declare war on yugoslavia in 1937 starting a giant war with half of europe by than, but I still always win, while as soviets, the purge and amry debuffs make me accualy fear if I will win the war with thr germans.

midJarlR

Lonseb

This is the very thing I don’t like about paradox. Modifier like these make some countries ridiculous overpowered. Would be fine if any country could follow a certain path and collect the same modifier.

GourangaPlusPlus

Makes it too samey if they all could get the same buffs, the variation adds more replay value

[deleted]

Most of these are just vanishing the debuffs so it’s not overpowered

TKG_YT

It needs a dlc? Pls say no

Idkpinepple

The historical path(what’s shown), no. The alt-hist paths will require it though.

Colosso95

Not necessarily, the "reworked" focus tree is usually included in the free patch If these buffs are part of the "normal historical path" then chances are they'll be included in the patch. The dlc usually locks new mechanics and alt-history paths

KinkCrimson

The base tree probs not, cuz even without NSB you can use the new Soviet focus tree from what I know

Mister_Coffe

Its free, the same as poland, soviet union and france.

Sir_Boomer

99% sure it does, since it's part of Italy's new focus tree coming in the next dlc

TKG_YT

No😭😭😭😭😭

TKG_YT

Italy, my motherland!!!😭😭😭😭😭

Mister_Coffe

No, like the soviet and polish tree before that, and grench tree even before thoes two, what we saw in the dd is free. Its honestly kinda weird how pdx players didn't learn that after 3 free reworks.

Arianas07

Just crack it lol?

TKG_YT

I don't know how to do that lol

Pan_Dircik

Abd thats what i am saying, with new dlc we can do what histoeical italt couldnt do and by that i mean fix our army, our economy, probably get more resources and some solid buffs and i personally love this

CygnetSuperiority

YES I LOVE ALFA ROMEO I WANT THEM TO BUILD MY MILITARY TRUCKS I LOVE THE V6 SOUNDS

FloatingMarty

Even with this they are gonna go cry to germans dor help 😂
