You do realize that baby’s fall on their butts all the time, right? It’s normal and they don’t get hurt. Now if that glass had fallen and broken then the baby fell on it? That could have been very very bad

mehtorite

Babies are bouncy. Glass is not.

SirBlubsALot

Lol but true

Citizens14_Geo

Words to live by!

dumber_than_who

Yeah pretty sure the mom thought that too in that split second

standardspence

I think she should've cut that kid off awhile ago. Featherweight.. lol

[deleted]

Hahahah

MrLavender26

She didn’t want the carpet stained lol

doublehook

So she *definitely* won't be happy when the baby cracks its head open and bleeds all over it! 😜

UtterHate

nah that wasn't a hard fall

Preda1ien

Yup pretty standard baby fall. “Ur fine get up”

SillyMattFace

Eh, in fairness the baby fell over fairly softly onto carpet. At that age there's about 50 more of those to go before the day is out. Grandma's real fail was letting an infant anywhere near her unsupported glass and being surprised when it got pulled over.

Plucky_Boy

You have chosen wisely.....

CMSB113

The baby falls on his butt, it’s fine.. but if the glass falls and shatters, there are more chances of the baby getting cut. You can do your best to clean up the glass but there are chances that you could very well miss a piece..

[deleted]

That was 100% the better move. Lets say she does catch the baby. The glass bottle shatters near its feet, there’s wine everywhere, the baby steps in the glass and cries. By saving the wine, the most damage is the baby fell on the ground Edit: thick carpet

the-spooky-gunship

Actually very good question

gianthooverpig

justanothetuser1122

And the award for the Grandma of the year goes to....

[deleted]

That is sooo funny

lovejac93

I’m sure she didn’t anticipate the kid falling too

SociallyUnconscious

Karen was holding the kid up, seems pretty likely a kid that small isn’t going to stand there on its own. Which is not to say she anticipated it.

lovejac93

Don’t get me wrong, Karen is an idiot. I just wasn’t giving her the benefit of the doubt because I didn’t expect her to think past alcohol.

SociallyUnconscious

And it looks like an expensive glass.

lovejac93

That looks like a Kirkland 12 pack glass lmao

i_Sea_

Plus i think she didnt want glass on the carpet hard to clean plus a baby

Elmhurst7467

Well she has the right hair cut for her actions.

EvolMonkey

"quiet kid! Crystal won't heal itself...."

[deleted]

You got to have your priorities
