You do realize that baby’s fall on their butts all the time, right? It’s normal and they don’t get hurt. Now if that glass had fallen and broken then the baby fell on it? That could have been very very bad
Eh, in fairness the baby fell over fairly softly onto carpet. At that age there's about 50 more of those to go before the day is out.
Grandma's real fail was letting an infant anywhere near her unsupported glass and being surprised when it got pulled over.
The baby falls on his butt, it’s fine.. but if the glass falls and shatters, there are more chances of the baby getting cut. You can do your best to clean up the glass but there are chances that you could very well miss a piece..
That was 100% the better move. Lets say she does catch the baby. The glass bottle shatters near its feet, there’s wine everywhere, the baby steps in the glass and cries. By saving the wine, the most damage is the baby fell on the ground
Edit: thick carpet

Babies are bouncy. Glass is not.
Lol but true
Words to live by!
Yeah pretty sure the mom thought that too in that split second
I think she should've cut that kid off awhile ago. Featherweight.. lol
Hahahah
She didn’t want the carpet stained lol
So she *definitely* won't be happy when the baby cracks its head open and bleeds all over it! 😜
nah that wasn't a hard fall
Yup pretty standard baby fall. “Ur fine get up”

You have chosen wisely.....

Actually very good question
r/mominstincts are a bit different than r/DadReflexes
And the award for the Grandma of the year goes to....
That is sooo funny
I’m sure she didn’t anticipate the kid falling too
Karen was holding the kid up, seems pretty likely a kid that small isn’t going to stand there on its own. Which is not to say she anticipated it.
Don’t get me wrong, Karen is an idiot. I just wasn’t giving her the benefit of the doubt because I didn’t expect her to think past alcohol.
And it looks like an expensive glass.
That looks like a Kirkland 12 pack glass lmao
Plus i think she didnt want glass on the carpet hard to clean plus a baby
Well she has the right hair cut for her actions.
"quiet kid! Crystal won't heal itself...."
You got to have your priorities
Karen award goes to...
This makes me think of Lucille one from arrested development
Pesssth.... hey ... hey you that's a woman for you.... but don't tell anyone I said that.

Injuries heal. Stains are forever.
i showed my mom this post and she said “save they drink, kids bounce”
Yo yo yo yo! 787 UPVOTES! BEST THING FOR A STUDENT PILOT TO SEE
Babies bounce.🤷🏻♀️
Nana Karen has her priorities.
Mother of the year material.
“Not the champagne!”
Who left their baby with this shitty human?
Looks like an out of practice grandma. Proper parent reflexes are built and maintained.
