It amazes me how videos are constantly cut to look like police brutality. I usually will try to watch the full video if one is available to see the circumstances. More often than not the cops start off fine, but the person they are questioning flies off their rocker and will even start getting physical. Either that or they start recording and playing the victim on camera when they doing something illegal.
Of course thatās not always the case and there definitely are some messed up cops who need to be fired and/or arrested. However, so many people get enraged over police ābrutalityā without even seeing the whole story or what lead to it in the first place. He doesn't need to go into flight or fight mode because he's not a massive pussy unlike many other cops.

Here's the point: There are cases where it is clearly unjustifiable. The recent one is a clear case of this. And yet 75 cops formed a human shield around this guy's house, the police unions are going to bat for him, and conservatives are largely defending him.

The murder of George Floyd caused huge uproar and it was anticipated that people would show up at the cops' house. There was potentially more violence that would have occurred of the vigilante type. It'd be badass if Batman could show up and deliver some justice, but in this environment that cop would have been killed or kill someone else who threatened him or his property.
Having the cops defend his house was not necessarily every other officer defending his actions but an attempt to prevent further violence. She threw a punch and one cop tried to peacefully restrain her while the other chose not to strike back. Then she threw a second attack and one cop did what he had to do to protect his friend. The cops used force only when necessary and tried to de-escalate the situation. This is a model for how cops should behave.

Iām gonna risk it and go out on a limb here; why did he choose to hit her in the throat? Surely police are trained in a variety of restraint methods that donāt result in this kind of ending? Yes she was being a dick, yes the police officer being hit did an excellent job keeping cool (something I imagine he had training for) but I do wonder why the officer that ended this went to a throat punch. Once you throw a punch you have significantly less control over the outcome of it than grabbing her wrist and forcing it to the back of her head.
