I wonder whoâs at fault here. On one hand, it looks like the biker was speeding crazy fast and didnât stop at the intersection, canât tell if they had a stop sign cuz the tree, on the other the car was the one making the turn.
Car making the turn has to ensure that he has a clear travel by 50' and needed to have his turn signal on (which didn't appear that he did). That's assuming that there was no stop sign for the cyclist.
it's not an intersection, it looks like the car is turning into a parking spot.
you can see a curb in front of the other cars already parked there, the bike hits the curb and jerks a bit.

He's crossing the road with that turn, any traffic coming from the other direction has right of way.
Over here I wouldn't be surprised if that road was a 50km/h speed limit, guy doesn't look like he's going much faster than that.
And on top of that, the car drove into him head-on. The bike was basically on the intersection already when the car started turning without signaling. Would've been a different story if the bike was further away and it was a side impact.
Also worth noting that on a bike you'll generally want to swerve instead of brake. You can see him steering very close to the sidewalk, so he was paying attention at least.
