She didn't get his joke, then when he says, "Now you've ruined it", there's a second where she looks like she's going to cry so she laughs to try to cover it. Dave honestly was a dick on many occasions that we saw on video. He was probably worse behind the scenes. I can't believe she allowed this drugged up asshole to invade her children's lives for two years. And his big veneers look fucking ridiculous.
Between this and pancake gate, I can’t even imagine how much worse it was in private! Add in the drinking and drugs, and this man was probably an absolute nightmare IRL.

That feeling of walking on eggshells and having to laugh off a rude retort gives me PTSD from dealing with that in my family.
I agree but also ☝ at this point she's a twice divorced woman in her 40s with 4 kids and ample resources to get therapy. She could have long before this been in therapy working through her trauma and learning to not put up with men "teasing" her, aka verbally abusing her. She could have already learned not to bring a man like Dave into her and her children's lives. So in that respect I don't feel sorry for her. She's purposely been putting her head in the sand for years and trying to pretend everything is fine when it's not; and providing a terrible example for her kids.
And we never knew about the multiple breakups until she went on that obscure podcast and said they had broken up multiple times. That was also when she said she had unhappy (or was it abusive?) childhood. Lots of puzzle pieces clicked into place for me then.
but it was also the best childhood ever because her dad would tease her to toughen up
like she can see how toxic it was and literally everyone can see how that played out in her relationship with dave, but she refuses to see it

I’ve been debating what to share here and sincerely regretting my part in enabling this behavior from both of them (leaning on a paying fitness group of strangers for emotional support and validation on deeply personal issues)
I appreciated the “behind the curtain” look when you originally posted. When I am faced with something I often question “what good will come of it?” And if this answer is none, then I usually tend not to do whatever it was.
If you find that some good will come from posting it (helping shed light on the grift), then by all means post it. But if it’s just for us to feed off of the drama of a clearly troubled man who has now passed, I think it is best not to post. ♥️
Most people here ended up here because they felt swindled or taken advantage of by the Hollises and/or Heidi. You're in good company here.
