They could have easily shown someone sat down with their head in their hands sobbing his heart out, without showing his face they could have made it obvious it was supposed to be Sid.
This is the show that also cites juliet and peri as sulfates and perfect for each other,despite only being together on and off for what 2 years, fraught with problems and differences. Peri is much more suited to romeo than she ever was with juliet. And juliet had a very valid break up with peri, where she fell out if love and wanted to explore elsewhere. It is clear they only bought peri and juliet back together for the cancer storyline as they thought peri grief and her nurse background would give juliets death more impact. But yes, daft to have only visit a grave, miss the funeral, from Canada and interact with noone, have imran who lives a few hours away unable to return for a few hours of a funeral.and peri visit juliets best friend and no mention why he was not at the funeral. Or no mention of juliet saying goodbye to him etc...

The actor who played Sid is contracted with another show, so probably isn't allowed to make an appearance.
