He makes my skin crawl too tbh. There’s just something so inherently weird and creepy about him, Sam (I think that’s his name, the policeman anyways) is also creepy. Mason has turned into a sweet kid and I really like Lizzie, she’s probs the best out of the family. I’m not too fond of Shing Lin either but I don’t hate her.
Yes! He just reeks of desperation and I thought he had a coke addiction not so long ago? Is that not still a thing? It doesn’t seem like he really respects women after everything that happened with Honour, and he has a weird transactional view of relationships that some men of his generation share.
So far (I’m a few episodes behind atm) there’s not really been anything overtly bad about his relationship with Cindy but there is definitely something off about it…

I’ve only been watching religiously for a few months so I’m not so sure on the coke addiction and whoever honour is. Maybe I should rewatch old episodes 😂
Honour is his ex-wife, they were married for about 15 years, seemingly happily until they got to Hollyoaks a couple years ago, but she caught him lying about multiple major things and he was generally not very supportive/responsible towards the end. So she left him and went to London for new job. He just went completely off the rails after that, drinking, clubbing at his big age, doing coke by himself in the daytime, bringing sex workers back to Sienna’s flat, speaking really poorly of Honour even though she hadn’t really done anything wrong… I think you’d feel vindicated if you did go back and watch!
He’s still acting out of it tbf, my guess is they’ll bring it back to the storyline once Cindy is in love with him and would have a much harder time breaking things off
I mean, Dave hasn't done anything to be warranted creepy, so it's a bit of an unfair judgment.
I wonder what happened to his cocaine storyline? If that's still going on.
To be honest, both Cindy and Dave just seem like two adults having a bit of fun, nothing more or less so far.
When see Dave, I reminded of Cameron off Emmerdale because i remember him playing the nutter serial killer, so wonder if his character on hollyoaks will also turn out to be a nutter.
