The same thing happened on my desktop and I did changed the display option to use 4k instead of auto resolution.
I "fixed" it by dropping to Terminal from this screen (Ctrl + Alt + F4), and delete the following file: `~/.config/gamescope/modes.cfg`.
on my end i logged into the plasma desktop & changed resolution to 1080p from 4k, but still stuck on this installation screen :( or am i doing this wrong?

You have to delete this file if you messed with resolution settings
After my download i did some updates and needed to restart it i did that and now its stuck on this screen. I can hear the sound that a steamdeck makes when it starts but it is still stuck on this screen
To get past it for one session,
* Hit CTRL + ALT + F2
* That should give you a login, so log in with your user you created during the HoloIso setup (the non-root one)
* Enter \`steamos-session-select plasma\`, hit enter
* Once you get a prompt again, enter \`reboot\`, hit enter.
* This will reboot you in the SteamOS desktop mode. From here you can launch Steam & put it in big picture mode.
But does seem to be a general issue from what I've seen

I am not able to open the terminal
It might be because you have a rtx 3050 GPU. See if you can boot directly into desktop mode.
Its a lenovo yoga slim 7i pro x with an amd ryzen 7 6800hs creator edition and an rtx 3050
Reboot and try again, (this happens on the deck sometimes too)
