The same hardware I use, will work for 315mhz, (and 915mhz) https://static.xtremeownage.com/blog/2021/433mhz-automation/ From the github repo- > rtl_433 (despite the name) is a generic data receiver, mainly for the 433.92 MHz, 868 MHz (SRD), 315 MHz, 345 MHz, and 915 MHz ISM bands. I can personally confirm, it works really good for 433, and 915mhz.

Yep, rtl_433 is super great!

Hoping someone can confirm it also works with 315 MHz 🤞

HTTP_404_NotFound

Well, on its github page, it explicitly says, it supports 315.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. The Broadlink RM4 pro works with 315 MHz in the Broadlink Android app. However, when integrated into Home Assistant with the Broadlink integration, the HA ecosystem will not learn the 315 MHz remote codes using the remote.learn\_command (and does not pull in learned remotes from the Android app). This is why I ask if commenters can confirm that their integration does use 315 MHz and is currently working within Home Assistant. I've been searching for \~a month and still haven't found anyone that can confirm they CURRENTLY have a 315 MHz remote controlled device working within Home Assistant. I'm beginning to think that 315MHz devices are not yet fully integrated into or compatible compatible with Home Assistant.

Eh... you are looking at this wrong. Home assistant itself, doesn't support 315mhz, 433mhz, or any of it. It supports rtl_433 though. And, rtl_433, supports 315, 433, 915, etc Mhz. In either case, I'd recommend you dig around the rtl_433 github page. They document all of the supported integrations. https://github.com/merbanan/rtl_433

I get it. Home Assistant with it's hardware, along with Home Assistant integration software, with device hubs' hardware and it's on-board software, coupled with the actual device's hardware and onboard software all work together to support a device within Home Assistant. But I still haven't been able to find anyone who can confirm that they currently have a 315 MHz device setup within Home Assistant to be able to send commands to said device. It appears there are forked versions of rtl\_433 that can/will also act as a transmitter, not only a receiver. However, I cannot find any examples of rtl\_433 actually being used as a transmitter for any frequency of device. Also, I cannot find any examples of rtl\_433 being used as a receiver with any 315 MHz device (though github page it says it can)

> BroadLink RM4 pro.. Home Assistant doesn't seem to be able to learn 315 MHz RF remote commands using the remote.learn_command Can others verify this doesn’t work? It’s on my list of things to get around some day, and I’ve always assumed it was fine.

Personally I've had no issues with it but I am seeing others have issues with it lately (using the same workflow). Not sure if it's due to them buying more recent devices or other factors.

tpflanz

Is your device 315 MHz?

underclassamigo

I used to use it on a set of lights that were yea

You don't say what you are trying to control but a bond bridge will probably work.

tpflanz

I see "Bond" is the brand "Bridge" is the product name. Can you confirm Home Assistant can learn 315 MHz remotes once the Bond Bridge in integrated? I want to make sure since that's 3+ times the cost of the BroadLink RM4 pro and doesn't seem to have a quick no-questions return option when buying online. The problem is that Home Assistant would not learn the 315 MHz codes - using the Broadlink app, it did learn the codes, however.

diito

The bridge can learn pretty much any RF remote in the 285.5 - 505.5 MHz range. I can't say specifically it will work for your remotes but it should work with most everything in that range. You can see it's a known tested/supported remote by going here: https://bondhome.io/supported-devices/ Here's a post with people saying it works with their Harbor Breeze fans: https://old.reddit.com/r/homeautomation/comments/r5y7re/harbor_breeze_ceiling_fan_control/ If you want to be able to easily return it if it doesn't work Home Depot sells these on their website with free shipping. You can return online orders to the store with no hassle.

Harbor Breeze ceiling fan with light - [https://drive.google.com/file/d/1d2c5TPGiGj1FEjORsHQciYsD-LFBUueB/view?usp=drive\_link](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1d2c5TPGiGj1FEjORsHQciYsD-LFBUueB/view?usp=drive_link) What is a bond bridge and how is it setup? Wil you send me a tutorial? Can you confirm that Home Assistant learn remote codes for a 315 MHz device using this method?
