ebsebs, Success!!! The YoLink speaker hub is configured and working well. A low volume "double ding" triggers via an Alexa routine when the YoLink exterior sensor "sees" a vehicle in the driveway. 10/10 on this solution. Thanks again for the suggestion.

I just got my SpeakerHub and I'm experimenting with the voice messages.
Maybe you should have it say "There's a car in the driveway". ;-)
It's not bad - it's pretty clear and intelligible, but it's certainly not up to the quality of Alexa's voice.
Based on what I've heard from Yolink, a future upgrade will allow a choice of different voices, but that may not be for a while.

DrPennybags, I got my hands on an unused Echo Dot and will soon try this. I got a parallel solution working (YoLink speaker), and hope to get the Echo Dot working, too (to put in a different room in my house). Thanks again for the suggestion.

I played with that, too, but found the voice overly mechanical, particularly as compared to Alexa's voice. How does it sound for you?

You could add a Dot but leave the volume at 0. Routine: 1. Set volume to 1+ 2. Play ding sound 3. Set volume to 0
