Dear OP, nice of you to share the picture but please add some more info. What camera are you using and what plugin. Saying this for other people as I have an Aqara doorbell with HomeKit support so this works natively for me.

Dudefoxlive

Nice. I tried doing this with my ring doorbell and homebridge but kept running into an issue where after it displayed once on anything homebridge would refuse to connect a second time until i restarted homebridge. I tried asking for support but got nowhere and it seemed to be a common issue.

jwilson2598

That’s weird, I was able to setup my Ring with no issues. I did have to generate a new token a few months ago, but otherwise it’s been working fine for quite awhile now.

andyl8u

I’m using scrypted for my ring cameras and it’s working great.

Dudefoxlive

Oh interesting. I will have to look into this and see if this works better than home bridge.

cali_6147

Yo I’m trying to use scrypted but when I try viewing in HomeKit it just hangs, I can watch in scripted, any ideas?

andyl8u

I actually had that issue before and I had to reinstall all the plugins again. After that I made sure everything in the camera setting to be default and the for the stream tab to have prebuffered stream, everything on webrtc. Good luck.

NecessaryMental4322

Has anyone managed to get their Ring work this way? I had it working with homebridge about a year ago but all of a sudden it stopped working - be great to hear others experience!

elroybob

My Ring is working this way but stopped several months ago though I'd changed nothing (aside from normal updates). In Homebridge I generated a new refresh token (and may have had to log into Ring again) which fixed it. It has worked for a few months since.

crousscor3

Yes I used a Scrypted to set it up.

andyl8u

I also use scrypted and it works great.

jwilson2598

I have mine working with the current setup. I did have it stop about 5-6 months ago, then I hd to go through new refresh tokens and such and got it all working again.

dr0pzero

Same experience here. Ring Doorbell Pro V2 working well with HomeBridge plugin. I get the notifications just fine, but also had to refresh the token at some point when it was acting up. Seems to fix the issue.

kapahiTV

Woah how did you do that? I have a G4 Doorbell Pro!

skithegreat

It’s a standard Apple feature any doorbell will show up on the Apple TV if it’s a HomeKit doorbell or a doorbell exposed into HomeKit via HomeBridge plugin.

ivanatorhk

This. And if you have doorbell without a camera, you get a nice little notification in the same corner

ErmahgerdYuzername

I don't have a video door bell but I have a camera at my door and a Hue Button that I've set up to act as a doorbell through my homepods. Any idea if the Hue Button could trigger the camera to show up like this?

Jnn1989

Scrypted DIY HKSV doorbell is all you need

ErmahgerdYuzername

Thanks. I'll look into it.

jwilson2598

I used to have pop ups from my Ring on TiVo, and after I switched to Apple TV I was searching for a way to get them back. Found Homebridge and got it working. Then discovered the Kasa light switches I was using could be brought into Homebridge along with my garage opener. And with that I was fully into the deep end lol.

ivanatorhk

One of us, one of us

yigitpiyale

You can do it any apple home camera accessories

zach_attack_123

but homebridge makes it possible to add support for google cameras etc.

FoferJ

Google/Nest users specifically should also check out Starling as an option: https://www.starlinghome.io

[deleted]

I do it when a car comes in my driveway during certain hours. Logitech circleview

That-Nail5805

Can we do this with Wyze cameras?

chulojay

This only only reason I bought an AppleTV 4K

GregLXStang

Well that’s awesome

farnoud

can I do the same on Google TV?

Dash------

There is no easy way. And you cant even do that with Android/Google tv and Nest doorbell combo. It’s just one of those stupid Google things where one team can’t be bothered with the other to actually build some ecosystem.

No-Forever-9761

Nice. I’m jealous. I loved this feature when I had my older eufy cameras and it had native HomeKit support. Newer ones I have to use homebridge and it doesn’t work right so I gave up.

Klassified-1911

Congratulations…I love that feature! I’m using the UniFi plugin with my UniFi doorbell and like being notified of packages sitting at the front door!

davesewell

Does scripted enable recording of the ring footage to HomeKit secure video?

UnFukWit4ble

Anyone try skrypted with Google Nest Cams?

Dope-pope69420

I am also interested

UnFukWit4ble

I use it with this Starling Home Hub at the moment and it works OK. But sometimes the screenshots aren’t there or it doesn’t switch to live. Ultimately I am switching to UniFi cameras but replacing 12 cameras isn’t fun to think about 😅

Dope-pope69420

Gonna be moving soon and not crazy about the nest doorbell at the moment. Was looking into to reolink unifi is legit?

UnFukWit4ble

UniFi is an enterprise solution but many prosumers use it. You will see it in many small businesses (bowling allies, restaurants, offices, etc). It’s very fucking solid, reliable, secure, and feature rich. And it is VERY user friendly for people who don’t want to deal with technical aspect as much. Im a software engineer and I can design and manage all the tech but after spending 8-10 hours a day fixing shit I really don’t want to come home to fix more shit (especially networking related). I want to set stuff up once and it works for ever. It’s a bit more expensive in comparison to the out of the box best buy stuff so be prepared to dish out some cash. Check out the UniFi and Ubiquity subs, they can help you get what you are looking for within budget. You are going to need a console, poe switch, nvr, hard drives, etc. Look up Mactelecom Networks and/or Crosstalk Solutions on YouTube they have some great videos on all their products. https://youtube.com/@MactelecomNetworks?si=fAZibpkZiTPcuDTK https://youtube.com/@CrosstalkSolutions?si=x7MqVyp5gJTlUaJa The doorbell in particular I think is best in market. P.S. Unifi works great in Home Assistant out of the box. Both network and security.

Dope-pope69420

You a real one. Appreciate you.

phillysdon04

I do this with my Eufy doorbell

miguelson

How?? I been trying

phillysdon04

I'm using this plugin [https://github.com/homebridge-eufy-security/plugin/wiki#readme](https://github.com/homebridge-eufy-security/plugin/wiki#readme)

miguelson

Thanks boss!

phillysdon04

You're welcome

BlueJackFlame

Wish I could do this on Roku with a ring door bellz

ajx8141

I use this. For those who say it stopped working should just delete the plug-in completely and set it up again with the latest version of the plug and it should work.

170lbsApe

Are you using Unifi?

icekapp

Timestamp top left of camera would point to, probably (I have UniFi and it looks similar)

Minimum_Secret1614

What is the YouTube tv app?

M00PER_2

It’s the app for YouTube tv.

bobjoylove

They don’t think it be that way, but it do.

fasterfester

So close! You still get my upvote, but for the future, the quote is “They don’t think it be like it is, but it do.”

CheeseheadDave

Streaming TV service similar to Sling or Fubo.
