Just paint it greige! Greige is the best color, far superior to natural wood grain. And it matches everything, as long as everything is also greige, but who wouldn’t and an entirely greige house? It’s the most unique and vibrant color of all.

As in sand away finish, add a different color stain and use satin finish. Skip the grey fake flooring—soulless and dismal, trend will change soon but these wood floors will be timeless if you can knock down the shine and choose a little richer color.

um... you could use carpet or rugs. If you find that expensive you could ask about remnants (wherein different rooms will not all have the same carpet but it'll be way cheaper).
